We enjoyed our stay in Coral house. The house was clean and the location was right on the water with the reef within easy swimming distance. Kayaks were available and a large bay within an easy paddle. Lots of sea life to observe. Frank and Susan were great hosts and helped us with anything we needed. Adelberto lives on the property and looks after things, he is very helpful but only speaks Spanish. You will want to rent a sturdy car as the roads in Roatan are not in good repair. Keep in mind you are on a remote island and may not have all the amenities of a Sandals resort. If you like a little adventure while on vacation, This is a fun place to stay.

Our second stay at this place. This is our 8th trip to Roatan. There is no better bargain. The property has four bedrooms; two of them with their own private bathroom. A washer and dryer. Full kitchen. Snorkeling supplies. Kayak. And best of all, infiniti edge pool.
Yes, things could be updated but EVERYTHING is in good shape. If you want perfect finishes, plan to pay 2-3x more for a different house.
Frank, the point person on the island had great communication and was responsive to every need.
Likely not our last visit to Beach House!

This is not our first time staying down in the area, but is our first time renting this fantastic large home. The location is out of the way but close to the action if that is what you wish for. Views from the deck are nothing but beautiful Caribbean sea! The house is large and suited to accommodate bigger parties, in our case however it was just the two of us. All in all great experience from reservation to Frank (the property manager) and Aberto (the onsite caretaker). Of note, I would recommend a vehicle and an SUV or small truck. The road in can be rough as it is graded only a couple of times per year. Besides you will want to explore the island as well. Enjoy!

This is a great property and the location is incredible for snorkeling (if the ocean is calm enough) and enjoying the views on the beautiful porch. Our favorite spot in the mornings and evenings was the hammock swings! The kitchen was well stocked with everything you'll need to cook your meals and the main living areas were comfortable. The master bedroom was nice and the king size bed was super comfy. The bathroom was adequate with a large walk in shower. The other three bedrooms and baths were in the basement and it was moldy smelling and dark down there so our son chose to sleep on the couch. There is plenty of space, it just wasn't very inviting if I'm being honest. There was a rooster that woke us up constantly by crowing all night long outside the bedroom window. It helped if the AC was running but we could still hear it and it was maddening - we did tell the property manager Mac when we left and he said he'd try to take care of it. Mac was great - he met us at the airport, took us to the grocery store and got us set up at the house - then we had cell phones with his number preprogrammed into them so if there were any problems we could call him right away. The road to the house is pretty rough so if you're renting a car I recommend an SUV so you don't bottom out - but it's not critical, you'll still get there but it's a bumpy ride. The space is very private, which we loved, and Alberto (who only speaks Spanish) is a constant friendly presence in the caretakers cottage which made us feel extra safe. Overall we loved our stay at the Coral Beach House and plan to return in a few months!

Coral House
Truly a "home away from home". The house was very comfortable and there was plenty of room for our family of six. We LOVED the view, shaded areas to relax, the pool, access to snorkel and scuba dive right from the house. The grocery store had everything we needed and we cooked most meals at the house using the BBQ grill or stove/oven. All worked great.
The constant breeze kept the need for bug repellent to a minimum and the we had no need for air conditioning.
Adeberto(who lives onsite) and Miguel were attentive to our needs and Mac the property manager was great meeting us at the airport and getting us situated with our rental car and first grocery store visit.
We would definitely love to return to this awesome getaway!!

This place is a gem that is even more beautiful than the pictures if you can believe it. We had 5 adults and one 2 year-old here and there was plenty of room for everyone. Our daughter loved the house, the pool was perfect for her and the private beach was amazing too. We had a great time exploring the island of Roatan, but there was so much to do around the house and just relaxing on the porch and in the pool and on our private beach or the amazing snorkeling right off shore that it would have been fine if we just stayed at the house all week! Mac the property manager was great, he had great recommendations for us and hooked me up with a great dive outfit (Tropical Island Divers), and Adeberto and his wife, who lived right outside and took care of the day-to-day stuff, were amazing, wonderful people who were very helpful, even rode with me to the fish market to help me find where to buy some fish to cook on the grill. We met so many nice people on the island and had such a great time I'd recommend Roatan to everyone, and this house really can't be beat.

Paradise Found!
I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful home for 9 days, and I wish it was much longer. The house sits on its own private beach in a quiet residential area. I did not see any neighbors during my stay so it felt like I was on my own private island. I spent most mornings scuba diving the amazing reef, which happens to also be located right offshore from the house. I did tour most of the island, and while it was nice, I couldn’t wait to get back to the house every day! I spent many afternoons enjoying the gentle ocean breeze while swaying in the hammock under the palapa on MY VERY OWN BEACH. The sound of the waves provided a nice backdrop for my daily siesta. The swimming pool was a nice spot to cool off on hot afternoons, as well as a good place to watch the sunsets. The house provides ocean views which can be enjoyed from the living room, dining room, and kitchen area, but also right from the bed in the master bedroom. Imagine waking up to that view every day. You do need a car if staying here, but decent restaurants and a well stocked grocery store are a short drive away. I recommend stopping at the Bulk Gourmet and picking up some steaks and chops and enjoying them back at the house on the professional BBQ grill that is provided. The owner left me a very nice welcome basket and also arranged to have Eddie meet me at the airport. Eddie was very helpful and was just a phone call away if I had any questions. I can’t wait to return to this awesome house! The house has all the conveniences you could ask for: sattelite TV, DVD and CD players, wirelss internet, and a cell phone for local calls. There are kayaks provided, and the bay area (which is much calmer than the ocean) is a short walk down the private road. Although I had heard stories about the Roatan electric company being unreliable and having daily blackouts, I did not experience any pwer outages during my 9 days here. I highly recommend this place and I will be back soon!

Most peaceful and relaxing vacation ever at age 54.
I need to let you know that our group consisted of 6 people. Myself female age 54. Males ages 35, 29 and 25 females age 24 & 27. One being my son and 2 were daughters. We had a great time and shared much time together. We spent most of our time at the house outside enjoying the pool, snorkeling in the sea, kayaking, relaxing in the hammock, reading books, and talking in the comfortable outdoor furniture on the very large wrap around deck. Pictures don't even come close to what it really looks like!
Upon our arrival we were greeted by Kevin and Claire who make you feel so welcome and are a wealth of information. They helped us get our rental vehicle. I might suggest that if you are use to driving an automatic you might want to request that when you make your rental reservation. Many of the rental vechicles are manual. After getting our rental van they took us to the grocery store and then we followed them to our rental home.
The kitchen area is very accomodataing for large groups. Most of our meals were cooked at the house and we did buy fish and lobster from one of the local fishermen who will come to the house and ask if you want to buy any. Restaurants that either some or all of us went to were Frenchy's, Cals Cantina, Pineapple Grill and Gio Seafood. I would recommed them all. One of the highlights on our stay was having Clair arrange for a local woman and her daughter come to the house and make our meal, serve the meal, and do the dishes. It was DELICIOUS ! We also learned from them how a cocunt is cut, husked, and opened.
Two of the people in our group scuba dived and they were so impressed. Saw things that they had not seen before. I snorkeled 3 of the days walking straight out from the house.( I do suggest to wear water shoes for walking out) I even saw the reef wall which I had not experienced before. Take advantage of the days when the water is calm. We had a few days where the waves were a little to big for walking through the coral to snorkel.
We did do a fishing tour one day. 5:30 am - 2:30 we left from a dock about 300 yards from the house. We should have taken a few more light weight pieces of clothing that covered our arms and legs. There was no tarp or covering on the boat to stay out of the sun. We did use 50 proof sunscreen and we still all got sunburned. Besides the fishing we saw beautiful beaches and mainland from the waterside.
I suggest to take no cell phones and no computers. ENJOY!

The perfect place to let it all go and just relax
This home was the perfect destination for a tropical vacation to disconnect from work and technology! When we arrived at the airport we where greeted by the property managers and they made sure our car rental was taken care of, they drove with us to show us around and then to the house. But they didn't stop there they where a wealth of information for where to visit, places to eat, and what to expect on the island. The view from the house was in a word beautiful! Scuba diving on the island was amazing, the worlds 2nd largest reef system around the island housed many wondrous sights. Snorkeling right out of the house when ever we wanted was great on calm days. But the best thing overall about staying at this location was just relaxing on the beach, in the hammock, in the pool, or on the deck. The weather was perfect for our stay, it was really tough to go back to ice and snow.
I would recommend this location to anyone looking for a beautiful tropical local to spend some quality time relaxing!
