We chose this house based on the pictures of the outside area. Calling it a deck does not do it justice, it was AWESOME!! There were a couple chilly rainy days which we didn't even mind, we had a fire all day and watched football. The kitchen was fully stocked, we brought a few things from home and didn’t even need them. It was nice that all the roads leading to the house are paved and the main road on the mountain is 2 lanes. We will definitely be back!

We have been traveling for months at a time over the years and one of the best stays. The view is astonishing and don’t miss Crane Creek Vineyards. Total enjoyment. A little hard to find but totally worth it.

We motorcycle tour the area every fall and decided on this house due to the pictures of the deck and its view. We were NOT disappointed!! The house is great, the bed very comfortable and all major things were very clean, Kitchen, bathrooms, windows, the majority of the floors. The only improvement that was needed in this area was dusty furniture, corners and cobwebs. I addressed this with the owner who said she would get with her cleaning team. The kitchen had every thing you need except a pair of scissors.Be advised if on a motorcycle the road up to the driveway and the driveway are one lane and in places quite steep but they are paved all the way to the house and manageable, even for 2 up riders. The house and porch fireplaces are wood burning but except for 4 pieces of wood and a single firelog for starting you have to bring in your own wood and fat sticks or kindling to light it. Every other house at this price point we have rented in the north GA mountains supplies wood so that surprised us. The vegetable market on the right going into town sell bunches of wood and they were dry and burned well. The vegetables, fruits and jellies were all great there by the way:). Over all a very nice stay and as big as it is there is plenty of room for a group of people.

The view from the back deck is absolutely gorgeous! Road to cabin is very narrow and steep as previous reviewers have mentioned, so you may want to try and arrive before dark. We had most of what we needed and spent most of our time on the deck enjoying the view. The lower level grounds needed some attention (overgrown weeds & many spiderwebs) but overall the home was pretty clean. I would recommend this rental to anyone who wants to get away and enjoy the beautiful scenary! We hope to visit again in the future.

Of course the view is breathtaking and the pictures honestly don’t do it justice. However, I was extremely impressed with the little touches throughout the home right down to extra throw blankets. Everything was thought out perfectly and the home was warm and inviting.

We had the pleasure of staying at this property for a week. We spent just about the entire time on the outside deck, no matter the weather; rain, wind or sun. It is a comfortable living area with great amenities and an awesome view. The whole property was amazingly clean. With such a large open outdoor area, you could expect to see cobwebs, bugs, debris but we found it to be very clean! Many evenings we enjoyed using the deck fireplace and it was nice that they provided enough wood for our first fire.
The beds were very comfortable. Good instructions and labeling were found throughout the house. The laundry machines were clean and worked well. The kitchen was equipped with enough pots/pans/utensils to fulfill our cooking needs.
The guest contact was informative with pre-arrival information and friendly and timely with response to the few minor questions we had once we arrived. We would highly recommend this property and hope to return in the future.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this amazing mountain cabin. The views of the mountains and Lake Chatuge were spectacular and the surroundings were very peaceful. The cabin is very spacious and everything that you need for a comfortable stay is provided. I have to say that our favorite spot to hangout was the covered deck area with plenty of seating, a grill for cooking and big screen tv.
There were plenty of things to do in Hiawassee and the surrounding towns such as visiting Crane Creek Vineyards, Brasstown Bald, Blue Ridge Scenic Railway, boating, and trout fishing, just to name a few. We would definitely stay here again. We give it an A+ rating!!

This property was absolutely perfect. Everything you need to make yourselves comfortable. Breath taking views, as many times as we've gone to the mountains, this was by far the best views. Think we'll be back.

First, I am also a VRBO owner. Second, I would stay here again. The only reason I did not rate a 5 star was the overall cleanliness. As an owner I understand depending on someone else to get it right. That being said when you ask for a $200 cleaning fee it is assumed that the person before you paid the same so....... The home was not especially dirty but was very dusty, cobwebs and spiderwebs in corners and outside porch just needs a good cleaning. Mostly though it was all of the dog hair (no pet policy??). We had to use the lint brush ( yes there was one there) to get the hair off our clothes before attending the events we were there for. I know when you depend on a service sometimes you just get the basic job and I understand that. View from back porch amazing. I could have just stayed there. Drive up to home is narrow and steep and if you have an issue with that it is something you should consider before renting. Overall the house was great for our stay and the other couple with us were happy as well.

We stayed at this property for Spring Break this year and our stay could not have been any better! This is an amazing home with LOTS of room. Of course our favorite space was the outdoor living room and that incredible view. We were able to build a wonderful fire in the outdoor fire place and watch movies while watching the sunset. This property has everything that you could ever ask for in a mountain retreat. Lots of great options for dining out or as we did, take advantage of one of the best grills I’ve ever used (will be buying one for my next home).
The property owners were amazing to work with as well and very accommodating. We hope to be back again in the future.
Loved it!!

Nice house with a great view! Stayed basically the whole weekend on the porch, rain or shine!

This amazing house is situated overlooking Lake Chatuge, and is primed for outdoor living. The top floor has a nice kitchen, beautiful living room with a fireplace, and the master bedroom - which has a huge and nicely appointed bathroom. There’s a half bath as well, for guests/kids you don’t want in the master.
The weather was against us last week, but we made the most of it. There’s a bottom floor which opens onto its own deck, and out to the most amazing staircase I’ve seen at a “normal” type house.
It’s hard to do the property Justice, but despite the weather we are already talking about booking again for summer.
There are all types of modern amenities within a half hour’s drive, and all kinds of fun activities whether you’re “outdoorsy” or just like to explore. We went to Helen for German food, and Brasstown Bald, but mostly we cooked at the house, and enjoyed the time together.

Absolutely one of the nicest VRBO rentals we've stayed in and we are very experienced VRBO renters. The home is beautiful, clean and spacious. Cannot say enough good things about the outdoor living space and the view it provides of the lake/mountains. Beds are comfortable and the hosts have provided a kitchen equipped with everything you need. Hoping to visit again during the summer. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.

Perfect place to celebrate our Mom's 80th birthday. The view is amazing and house layout was perfect for our family.

This property was wonderful. The home itself is fantastic for a large group. We had plenty of room for our young kids. The pictures cannot capture how gorgeous the views are from the porch. Hiawassee is a cute town and is close to the town of Helen, state parks, & waterfalls. We had a wonderful stay and hope to visit again. FYI, future travelers, pls try to arrive during daylight (at least your first day) because the home is a bit tricky to find in the dark. (very common when staying in the mountains).
