We had a wonderful stay here and what continues to be true is that the view makes up for anything that the property might not have. Would recommend if planning any family trips or getaways to the river, nothing beats waking up and getting on a kayak to go down the river.

I had the best time staying at this beautiful property for my 30th birthday with my closest friends. There's so much to say about this home, but I'll just go over my favorites. The location is just perfect, private but not in the middle of nowhere. There was plenty of parking to accommodate everyone. The house itself is spacious with plenty of speaking and plenty of bathrooms. The living room and kitchen are very open so we could still enjoy taking part in games even when we cooked. The backyard is just everything and more. The upper and lower decks are perfect for all kinds of weather. We spent almost all our time outside, we were jumping off the top deck into the gorgeous crystal clear water, enjoying all the seating at the bonfire, and lounging on the top deck just enjoying the view and beautiful weather. Breakfast & coffee on the top deck was probably my favorite part of this whole trip. Finally, they provide lots of kayaks and canoes and it is incredibly easy to get them in and out of the water. They also had floats and a grill that we enjoyed. I can't say enough about this home. It was exactly the relaxing weekend my friends and I hoped we hoped for and more.

We loved this house. Absolutely amazing! We spent 3 days enjoying Rainbow Springs River right out back every day. All the beds were very comfortable. The house had all the kitchen utensils and cook where you will need. The views were awesome. Very quiet area. Owner is awesome to talk to answered all our questions and gave us all kinds of tips. It was a well deserved couple of days of pure relaxation and fun! We are already booking again next May. The Kovacs Family

This property was a dream. Cozy, clean and comfortable. It had everything you needed for a river getaway. The home is situated in a way that provided plenty of privacy, while being minutes from various amenities. We celebrated a friend's birthday and eveyone who came continues to rave about the experience!

I stayed here with friends for my 42nd birthday and it was the perfect choice. The house is lovely but my favorite was sitting on the dock and kayaking around.
I love that the house is tucked away from all the river traffic and just a bit past the main pull off area, so it made it quite serene. We fed the fish from the dock. I kayaked a couple times around the bend to where the Rainbow and Chatahoochee rivers converge, which is so cool to see how is goes from clear to not at all. As a group we kayaked up the river a good bit and then back to the house.
We saw soooo many turtles and small, very chill gators. And I watched an otter hunting for breakfast and then dinner quite close to the house which made me so happy.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay on the Rainbow River. From the porch and kayaks we saw sandhill crane adults and babies, river otters, osprey, fish, turtles, other cranes, even a small alligator! We loved jumping off the dock and then relaxing on it just watching the wildlife. Manatees were only 23 minutes away on the Crystal River and amazing. The river boat tour was also a hit. My adult sons canoed up the river a bit and then snorkeled back to the house!

We are 2nd time returning guests at this property and definitely won’t be the last, already making plans for 3rd time to make more memories at this home.
First, the home is equipped with EVERYTHING you need for you and your family, its a home away from home; kitchen is equipped with all the tools needed and thensome, the bathrooms, the bedrooms, family room, simply comfortable and well kept. The homeowner recently made a few upgrades, which was nice and noticeable. The firepit is well kept and both the bottom and top outdoor decks are amazing.
Which happens to be our favorite part of visiting Rainbow Springs/Dunnellon. We have 3 boys and stayed with 2 additional families with kids/teens as well and the jumping off the deck into the beautiful and fresh river is absolutely an experience like no other, we look forward to it every year.
Secondly and just as important is the homeowner - Gilbert. He is very responsive, kind and seems to care very much about this property and it shows. Thank you Gilbert!!! Expect us in 2024 again!! No other property comes close to this one; its location on the river, the homes accommodations, cleanliness, comfort, neighborhood, the available kayaks and canoes at the home and they are very well maintained, the decks and all that jumping off of them into the river and enjoying the early morning rise and the sundown, and of course - Gilbert (the owner).
Don’t take my word for it, experience it for yourself, you won’t regret it!

We spent the week swimming at the dock, kayaking around the Rainbow River in the provided kayaks and canoes (4 single kayaks, 2 double kayaks, and 1 canoe), and exploring both the Rainbow River and the nearby Crystal River. The house came with everything needed to have a good time on the river. The host called the night of check in just to make sure everything was OK and to give tips on the area and how to have a good time while there. I would definitely choose this place again.

We all enjoyed using the kayaks provided and seating by the fire pit. Beautiful location! Great communication with owner and rental manager. We had three generations staying here and we enjoyed it very much.

Great place and hope to return!! The sprinkler system came on around 730pm as we were around the fire pit and got us soaked and all the wood we were trying to light. That was my only complaint, we were ready for it the 2nd night haha....

Had a wonderful time with the family during our stay at this house. Plenty of space in the house for our family. Having four bedrooms and 2 with the bunk beds made it ideal for the grandchildren. Loved the two-story dock, using the kayaks, fire pit, perfect for a family getaway. Host was extremely reachable.

Wonderful stay by the river, tons of bikes, canoes, kayaks provided, double-decker dock was awesome, every kitchen tool you could think of, had 8 people and could have fit another 4 easily. Everything was easy. Would stay again.

We had a fabulous time at this house. From morning coffee on the docks , to kayak rides on the river to game night in the evenings. It was a perfect fit for our family.

My husband and our two kids, my parents, and our friends with their two kids stayed at this location. The house was cute but the best part was the 2 story dock/deck which is where we hung out the most. But first let me brag on the owner! The night before we talked on the phone for 30 minutes ! He was so nice and gave me a rundown on things to do there and local places to visit. Property manger was also super nice and accommodating! We brought our Roku box for the bedroom especially since we had a 6 year old and a 9 month old. We fished, snorkeled, kayaked, did yoga in the morning (so beautiful and quiet first thing), and of course jumped off the top deck into the water about 100 times! We had a Blast and will definitely be back next year! Thanks again for a wonderful place to make great memories with our family!

Great location!
The home was clean and really close to local restaurants, KP Home, and the Head Springs at the state park. We enjoyed our stay and spent lots of time swimming at the state park and paddling on the river. The scenery was gorgeous and sitting on the top deck while the sun comes up is an absolute must!

My favorite part of this location is the outdoor area. The hammocks and double deck were relaxing and it was a perfect set up for a picnic after kayaking down the river.

Short family getway
For the price very reasonable, house & property is tired. There were two 4-6 foot alligators in the water by the house which was a concern for our 5 year old. Would not stay more than 3 days. It worked for our large group. Bring toilet paper, garbage bags and wood if you want fire.

I'll rent this house again having the kayaks and bikes was great. Very homey feel, and the grill worked great. Sat out at the firepit and talked for hours. Great time great stay. Only issue was in the other bedrooms there was no TV and the one in the primary you needed a computer to hook up to. But that was stated in the site and wasn't a deal breaker for us.

Not sure if other reviewers had a different experience or if renter heard reviews on couple things but this was as advertised, great, clean, plenty room, everything as expected, 100%!!Kayaks/canoes, right on the water (& yes even in Feb water was warm!), awesome docks, plenty seating, grill, firepit, just lovely! We took kayaks & paddled to bar/restaurant close by. It was awesome!Inside has plenty seating, stocked kitchen, laundry, 3 bedrooms, just all you need. Plenty blankets, pillows, towels. The beds are comfy (just one.. A futon bunk bed not comfy at all so that'd be cool if nicer mattress.. We doubled the top bunk w/ the lower futon mattress & was ok). Gilbert was so nice & it's a nice secluded & private (dude that reviewed about the big picture window w/ no blinds is silly.. It's meant to look at the view & no one is peeping.. Place private.)It's not walking distance to downtown main Street shops or anything but was close to all needs, restaurants/bars, swim w/ manatees, fun shopping, etc. We are saving this place to stay again for sure!!

This was a great location for our 2 week getaway. The property was clean and in good condition. The dock with its swings was our favorite place to hang out. Outdoor furniture had new cushions and was in good repair. There were 2 canoes, 4 kayaks, and 2 sit on top kayaks for us to use and we enjoyed paddling up and down the river. There were also 4 bicycles in a shelter outside that were new and had a pump for inflating the tires. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking gear and plates. The gas grill worked and even had grilling tools. Two tables provide plenty of mealtime seating, or space for playing games. Dunnellon is a great town to relax in, and we’ll do our best to come back here for more time along the Rainbow!
