This large home provides space for everyone to gather, yet private areas to retreat, accommodating both outlaws and in-laws! It is walking/biking distance to everything in the city, yet an easy drive to all the adventures you could imagine. Located on a cul-de-sac street makes it a quiet, low traffic place to relax in the convenience of the city. All access roads are paved so leave the dusty dirt road traveling to your excursions! Enjoy all the summer fun the Arkansas River has to offer. And winter pleasure abounds - with multiple ski slopes less than 1 hour away. With 2 'living areas' you have lots of space to gather. Sit quietly in the living room and read a book, while others are in the family room watching a movie. Or enjoy the views from the sun room while having that early morning coffee, or glass of wine at 'happy hour'. Send the kids upstairs to the game room while you prepare meals to enjoy in the dining room. The home was spacious, very well stocked with supplies, nicely decorated and had local maintenace support who checked in with us to see if needed anything. The home is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood with beautiful mountain views out the back. A very large dining table accomodated everyone very easiliy and the kitchen was easy to use. You can very quickly determine the owners love this home and take great pride in making it attractive and comfortable. This is certainly the nicest vacation rental we have stayed at in a long time and very worthy of an overall five star rating.

This was a good great place for out family to stay for a family wedding! The house was roomy and it had everything we needed, and the main floor bedroom worked well for our 88-year-old mother. Would highly recommend anyone! Great location and a great community as well!

This house worked great for our party of six. Nice, large rooms and bathrooms. Lots of options for dining and hanging out. The sunroom was a favorite! The kitchen had everything we needed or could want. Location was quiet but close to town and walking paths. Hosts were friendly and responsive. We really enjoyed our stay in beautiful BV!

We were in town for a wedding and this house was perfect to accommodate everyone. The first floor bedroom was perfect for my 92 year old mother. The up stairs bedroom suite with is own staircase was perfect for my daughter and her family to have some privacy. The game room was nice for my son and his wife to have a bit more privacy. The outside upper deck was so very nice to gather together in the evenings and enjoy the beautiful area. The long dining table was a hit with us, great place to sit, eat, chat and play. There was nothing that we needed that wasn't there. Wonderful house!!

Very comfortable home with lots of room for our entire group. Excellent location close to Main Street and short drive to nearby hiking

The house was absolutely beautiful and perfect for a large family gathering. We struggled with the temperature in the house, as it has no air conditioning. Apparently, that is common in the region, but it was a shock for us. The back yard was great for the kids, but bring a bug zapper or some candles, because the mosquitoes were thick. The views were incredible, including the early morning wildlife.

Everyone in our family loved staying in this spacious "Outpost" for my race weekend. There was plenty of room/beds/refrigerator space for 8 people, and probably enough for 14 or 15 if we had that many people. Great place for our kids -- grassy backyard with playground, big table and living areas for us to eat and hang out.
Clean as well. Hosts were accommodating and easy to communicate with. We will definitely be back.

This was my second summer visit to the Outpost in Buena Vista. I came with my son and daughter-in-law, 2 grand kids and my daughter-in-law's parents. We love the walkability and convienience of being so close to restaurants and market. The kids love the play eqipment in the back yard. Having 3 bathrooms is wonderful! There is too much to do in Colorado to waste time waiting on your turn for a bathroom to get ready in! The propert mgr lives next door and is super quick to respond if you need a new bottle of propane for the grill or fire table, etc. We had a wonderful stay at the Outback and I am sure we will be back for a 3rd stay in the future!

The Outpost exceeded our family's expectation - every amenity was as advertised and provided a lot of comfortable space to relax after our daughter's welcome party at the Eddyline Brewery and wedding at the Barn at Sunset Ranch! Favorite amenities were the large dining room table accommodating a comfortable sit down dinner and the outdoor upper deck patio was a delight to enjoy the nearby brook, sun in the cooler June weather and views of the Collegiate Peaks was spectacular! Susan and Frank were great hosts and have a home well worth sharing in beautiful Buena Vista!

Everyone enjoyed their stay. Great family house. The bikes, playground equipment, bags, tetherball gave the kids something to do. The second story patio was great. Bathrooms were very nice. Would recommend this if you have a large gathering.

The family had a great time spending Christmas together. Our Florida granddaughter enjoy seeing snow for the first time. There was enough snow to play in on the front lawn and a large play area in the back yard that was clear for other play. The grandkids especially enjoyed the loft area to play video games and sleep. There was plenty room for the adults to spread out and enjoy each other’s company. We would definitely recommend the Outpost to families looking for a great home in this area.

We rented this house for us and our family who were in town for our wedding. The house was exactly as described and Suzan and James were very communicative. The house was clean and stocked, and the backyard was perfect for adults and kids. The fire pit and swing set were a hit. We will definitely stay here again if our travels take us to Buena Vista.

We really enjoyed our stay. Very nice neighborhood and the back yard was our favorite as we had children with us that loved the swings and climbing wall. The outside deck with fire pit was great and the house was very comfortable. Would definitely consider this house again for our next stay. Very well stocked with things that a lot of VRBO properties do not have.

Nice place with a great layout for families. Very clean with a well stocked kitchen. We had a couple glitches that were our own fault, and the owners were very gracious in working with us to iron things out.

We were in the area for a wedding but extended our stay. The large gathering spaces (and back yard) were great for socializing!

We were in town for the Leadville 100 mtb race and it was a great location for us to home base out of. The owners and management were super helpful and accommodating and the property was perfect our large group!
5.0
The house was perfect for our stay while running the Leadville 100. The work that has been done on the house is great workmanship and maintains the ranch style feel of the house while simultaneously providing great upgrades. We underestimated how well the house used the space and barely used all the beds or amenities. It definitely has every appliance or kitchen tool you might use with plenty of spiced stocked. The rooms have plenty of shade and the house maintains very good temperature. The backyard is perfect for relaxing, watching hawks fly fly around or playing family games. The new grill is fantastic. The owners and managers clearly care about the property and the area is great for walking around plus staging for hiking. Thank you for everything!

Great place to relax and enjoy friends. Nieghbor we’re friendly, accept for directly across street. She did not care for our trailers and UTV’s and made it known.

Plenty of room for all!
12 of our family spent a wonderful 3.5 days at this rental. The home itself is well-located, close enough to walk to shopping, and far enough away from that busyness for some solitude. Everything was squeaky clean. We cooked several meals there; the kitchen was well-supplied with plenty of pots and pans. It was so nice for all 12 of us to be able to eat together at one table. It was the perfect place for us.

Buena Vista Destination Wedding
I actually traveled to Buena Vista May 2021 to check out the wedding venue and the town for our daughter's wedding which took place at the base of Mt Princeton (just a few miles from this VRBO) two weeks ago. While in town last May, I found this VRBO gem to perfectly accommodate my family's needs for wedding week. The house is huge and sprawling but well laid out so as to offer lots of privacy with the 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen was very well equipped and the long dining room table that seats at least 12 persons plus table and chairs on the enclosed porch as well as table and chairs on the outside covered patio made hosting a small gathering the day after the wedding a breeze. There is a lovely fenced in backyard complete with playset which my 3 year old grand daughter loved as well as corn hole for the adults. The upper deck with gas fire pit was perfect for star gazing at the beautiful night sky. The property is a quick 10 minute walk to lots of fun restaurants, food trucks, breweries, distilleries and shops. Owners Frank and Suzan, as well as Property Manager, Becky were great and quite helpful during our year long planning process; thank you Frank, Suzan and Becky! I would definitely rent this property again.
