Magical

Absolutely amazing stay. Lee went above and beyond to make our stay the best it could be. We didn’t have no kindling at 9pm he went to the shop to go get us some which he didn’t have to but nothing was too much such a lovely man. The cottage was just beautiful. added bonus with the tv we had every channel imaginable so we watched movies most the night. Best nights sleep I’ve had the bed was so comfortable. Breakfast was beautiful delivered to us at the time we requested. Located in a lovely spot everything was in walking distance. Can’t wait to return.

Enjyable but could easily be better

Breakfast was good as was the location

Not having a sink to wash at if not using the bath. Having nowhere to put your drinks when sat watching television. Found the stalls at the breakfast table uncomfortable

Lovely cosy cottage, breakfast was disappointing

Lovely accommodation, very clean & cosy. Comfy night sleep & a fab bath in the room.

Unfortunately the bread was mouldy & the breakfast was swimming on the plate, which was a shame. We were also disappointed at the coffee available, a cafetiere would of been nice.

I liked everything. Can't say more than that! It was exactly what I wanted.

Goodness - if I had to say something it would be entirely frivolous like 'the mirrors are in the wrong place if you want to look at your face to put mascara on'.

Quaint, unusual, cosy cottage and an enjoyable stay in a lovely market town.

Comfortable and well placed. Clean. Good food and the young woman we dealt with was friendly and helpful. Liked the decor and bath! Sky TV and wi-fi both appreciated!

Stairs were steep and could cause people with less mobility some problems- maybe should be mentioned in the description.

Close proximity to Ludlow centre, and staff were very nice and helpful

Wish the skylight would have had a blind in the bedroom as a bit bright, also a fan would have been nice, all around good though

Lovely quirky cottage with excellent host.

Excellently situated cottage for exploring Ludlow and the surrounding areas. Lee is an exceptional host and we appreciated the excellent communication throughout. Ludlow is not easy for parking but after checking in and depositing luggage there is an arrangement with a nearby garage that worked perfectly for us. Breakfast was outstanding and delivered exactly when ordered; as good as those served in their restaurants by better hotels. Excellent supply of biscuits, fruit juice, milk, tea, coffee, cereals, yogurt, bread and butter. Interesting decor and bedroom (watch your head on the beam, though!). Novel but fun to have a freestanding bath in the bedroom.

There is no mains water downstairs(though a daily flask is provided) which makes washing of cups and glasses a bit of a problem, and the small sink/loo upstairs will challenge some!

Griffin cottage is a gem of a place. Beautiful bath sadly didn't get to use it.

The Griffin Cottage and Ludlow are Gems where you can have a fabulous stay.

The Griffin Cottage was a charming beamed cottage in the beautiful Market Town of Ludlow with a magnificent Church at it's centre with wonderful concerts. Comfy bed, delicious breakfasts, charming hosts and very good value for a wonderful weekend/holiday experience. Excellent Restaurants and cafes and lots of history to explore. It was brilliant in every way. Thank you. We would like to return for longer and explore such a fascinating area of England/Wales. 5 Stars and counting.

Everything was brilliant. Nothing we did not like. We would have liked more time to look around such a historic part of the world Really Loved Ludlow. What a gem of a place. So beautiful and has so much charm and really friendly people. We would highly recommend The Griffin Cottage.

Charming accommodation within a few minutes of the centre of Ludlow.

Fantastic cooked breakfast and great location. The bed was amazing and the bath is fantastic! Very comfortable stay with lovely touches in the accommodation (tea, coffee, breakfast items etc). The host was very friendly and welcoming.

The toilet / washroom is a little narrow but I wouldn't knock points off for this - the rest of the accommodation was fantastic.

The breakfast was lovely the cottage gorgeous really cozy.

Stairs were a problem for me due to age I think.

Lovely Griffin Cottage

We were expecting a little room and got an entire cottage!clean and comfortable and spacious and so well located in this gorgeous town. Excellent value for money too. Breakfast was delicious and delivered by the host with warmth and a smile. Tea and coffee, fresh milk provided and some yoghurts in the little fridge. Really comfy sofa. Great wifi, microwave, toaster. The decor wasn't to my taste but basically the place is lovely and I would definitely recommend Griffin Cottage and will book again.

I wasn't in the hotel much but liked it as I did on a previous stay: service was with a smile!

Good breakfast with a wide choice. Delightful accommodation (Griffon), quiet and comfortable.

The breakfast coffee could be a bit stronger! and I was sorry not to have a proper shower, rather than one in the bath, though I understand the problem in that accommodation.

a fabulous nights stay in lovely Ludlow

it was a whole house!!! a wonderful surprise!

no shower to husbands dismay but the claw foot bath was amazing. I hesitate to say it was too hot, radiators didn’t need to be on so high

Rooms was very dusty and parking was limited outside.

Breakfast came quick upon ordering. food was fresh and tasty

breakfast room was set downstairs with no windows and quite dark. food was average and the crockery was not clean. you have to walk across the road from your room outside though a access gate which is difficult to unlock.

We were well looked after.

The landlord was very kind and professional, the bed was extremely comfortable with good quality bedding and we had an excellent breakfast. I just wished my scrambled eggs were that good 😁.

The room paintwork needs a little freshening up but apart from that it was fine.

Dogs in the kitchen, very dated decor, it all felt as if it could do with a good clean and a bit of a makeover. I would not recommend it to friends or family.

lovely spot.

lovely cosy cottage in ideal location, 5 minute walk into town. lovely decor and loved the bath in the bathroom.

had a few temp issues as was very hot and cosy when we arrived. it was immediately turned down for us though, however same happened again the next night but instead of being turned down it was turned completely off so was quite cold in the night. would say this is down to miscommunication though so not really a dislike.
