The condo was a bit older than expected but the location was amazing

The location is great, beach access is great. The condo was well equipped with games, puzzles, movies, etc. We even had a light bulb burn out and they had that ready too!

The unit it self was spacious and offered a great view of the ocean. The pool was a nice addition for our kids who don't love the beach as much as we do. A few items to note: The pool gate is a bit cumbersome but nothing owner can do about that. More of a personal preference but a suggestion none the less is remove the multiple appliances(microwaves, coffee pots) Add a Keurig for ease of coffee/tea making and less fuss than a traditional coffee maker. Better Blender for frozen drinks. Better balcony furniture/more comfortable options. We loved to sit out and watch the ocean but the chairs made it tough to stay out long. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would come back in the future.

Neighbors were pleasant and thoughtful on the noise issue. Our rental was tastefully decorated, and had all the kitchen items needed to enjoy our stay. Would like to see better mattresses in the kid's bedroom, but room was plenty big for 2 adults to share. This unit fit 2 adults and 2 kids comfortably...loved the porch, this was used alot. Pool was refreshing and clean!! Although I didn't purchase the early check-in, thought it was ridiculous that the keys weren't handed to me until 3:55 when they had been available way before that! When you pay this kind of money for a week's stay would it really hurt to let the family in a bit early as long as it had been cleaned?? Had a great time with my mom and kids!

The view from the deck for the Avalon pier 4th of July fireworks was fantastic - no traffic to fight. There were two flight of stairs to climb to get to the unit, but with only 15 units it seemed mostly uncrowded. Only complaint was several other properties had some loud late night parties.

There are two bathrooms and one has a tub, I think in the listing it says there is only one bathroom.

Location was great—no traffic and beach was not crowded. Lifeguard stand right there if you have teenagers who want to be on their own. Close to what you need, but felt a little off the beaten path. Pool was great—clean and not too cold. Washer/dryers are gross—rusted and no hot water to wash towels.

Property was clean and I think the owner made some upgrades. Areas that still need work—shoddy wi-fi, balcony furniture/carpet is stained, those MUSTY cabinets (owner should replace with open cabinets—IKEA??), sofa and bed covers are in desperate need of an update. Otherwise, as expected, but I think the rental fee is a little high for what you get.

I gave the rental company a 3 out of 5. First, I have never used them, so I might be biased to how other companies do early check-ins. I think over a $140 fee for a early check-in for a two bedroom condo excessive. Usually, we arrive around 10 am and let the company know we are there and waiting. They typically give us the keys and we fill out the paperwork. Then, they text us as soon as the place is ready. In some cases, I have been in a unit before noon. I’m not sure if it is their philosophy to have people wait or if they don’t have as streamlined communication with their cleaners, but our place wasn’t ready until 1 pm on the dot. I find it hard to believe it wasn’t ready before then. But, maybe it wasn’t. Additionally, we had a A/C issue that took awhile to address (5 hours) and they didn’t even call to check if the issue was resolved.

Overall, I would probably book again.
