Woodland Vacations Little Owl Chalet is a charming small home with a stunning view of Whiteface Mountain located in Wilmington, NY. This new construction vacation rental is minutes from Whiteface Mountain and Lake Placid. We provide a cozy rental near all the wonders of the Adirondacks. Little Owl sits in a quiet area that is walking distance to some of our popular local spots. Close to skiing, hiking trails, mountain bike trails and fishing. Walking distance to local chocolate treats, to the beach where you can swim and kayak or just walk across the street to the local pub to get food and drinks. Ironman race passes right by our rental property and is also minutes from the Poormans Mountain Bike trail. Little Owl Chalet is a two bedroom and one bath home. The master bedroom has a queen bed with a balcony that has a stunning view of whiteface mountain and the sunset. You will be greeted by our two wooden owls on the railing with Adirondack chairs to sit and enjoy the surroundings. Our second bedroom has a full Adirondack bed with wooden view. The house has plenty of outlets for all your plug in needs. Little Owl accommodates 2-4 people comfortably. The first floor has an open concept and allows the space to feel much larger. The kitchen is stocked with the basics and includes fridge, oven/range, microwave, toaster, coffeemaker to make a quick meal to enjoy there or on the go. The large windows in the livingroom provides wonderful light and awesome views. The bathroom has good space and rustic charm to it with the wine barrel sink. Our home is equiped with wireless internet. Little owl is non-smoking and pet friendly. Each room has a flat screen tv's for your viewing pleasure. Each room includes air conditioning and is well heated for the winter. The chalet is fully furnished by our own Woodcutter Rustic and Woodland Designs. You will find our tiny home has all the Adirondack charm throughout. The Little Owl grounds is an open but wooded area. It has a great space for parking. Off the deck you will find a charcoal grill for that summer BBQ. Next to the house is a five person hot tub. In the middle of the property sits a large fire pit with Adirondack seating. You will not be disappointed in this relaxing atmosphere with stunning views.

Fantastic little cabin. Very close to everything in Wilmington. 15 minutes from down town Lake Placid. Had a wonderful relaxing time! Will be back!

Little owl was a cute little place for our fall getaway. Beautiful views and close to a lot of trails. Only 20 minutes from Lake Placid. Looking forward to our next adventure there

The short version. Dust and dog hair everywhere. Everywhere. In her defense, she offered to send cleaner right over, at our convenience. That was laudable. I said we had already cleaned. We hadn’t. We were just leaving. More to come, on our time. And in our time. Stay somewhere else. Maybe all these good reviews came when they used to care about this place. Maybe they need new cleaning. What was their problem became our problem. Look under the Little Owl reviews and you’ll see more Little Bear reviews. My husband will be back on when we do post, with all his pictures. “They” are right. As a former journalist, I know, a picture is worth a thousand words. We can back our words up.

Great spot! Even better that they allowed our dogs. 💙 Comfortable easy location to everything. Easy check in and out. Hope was very responsive and a great host. We loved the fire pit and view. And of course the hot tub.

The cabin was very cute, perfect for two people. Location was great, hosts were very responsive. Really enjoyed the hot tub and the fire pit. Only complaint was the mattress, Very Uncomfortable....Needs to be replaced.

We were very excited for our stay since we try to go up to the ADKs yearly & this year we could bring our pups along with us. The house was fine, as long as you weren’t stuck inside. We were also hoping for privacy which there was not. There’s a house literally right next to you and we could hear them all weekend, and it’s very close to the road.

- very close to other people & road(not advertised)
- hot tub was dirty inside
- the door knobs weren’t dog friendly, my dog was able to open the door to the outside very easily just by hitting the knob
- firepit is in the front when there’s more privacy in the back
- very tiny, it was cramped with just the 2 of us and our pups
- expensive for what it’s worth
- on a very busy / fast road

Family of four for a summer stay, the location was perfect. Close to whiteface and a quick 22 minute drive to lake placid. Wilmington beach is cute and loved the chocolate shop on the corner. My kids named it “the owl house” and gave a name to each owl!

We had an incredible stay at the Owl Lodge. Our dogs loved it and so did our son. Beautiful cabin, amazing location and incredible yard. We look forward to coming back in the fall.

We absolutely loved our stay! It was perfect for the dogs as well. And the hot tub and the breath taking view was the best! And it was so close to Mt.Whiteface

Another great stay at this cabin! Homeowners are friendly and responsive, and the property has all you need and more. Despite some VERY cold temperatures at the beginning of our stay, we were toasty warm inside. Once it warmed up a little we were able to use the hot tub and hike nearby. Great location.

Adirondack getaway
We loved the location and the cute cabin. The owls and wood carvings were beautiful. The cute touch of the owl shaped chocolate was also appreciated! The furniture (couch and bedding) were worn and uncomfortable and the hot tub has seen better days. We did use the hot tub though and enjoyed it and the mountain views were so beautiful. We enjoyed all the many hikes around the area - so this cabin was a great location for outdoor fun.

Perfect Location for Everything we Enjoy
We had a wonderful stay. They host actually provided a lot of items I brought from home. For example, laundry soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap, and trash bags. Everything was quite perfect for some much needed wireless family time.

Lovely peaceful getaway!
We loved staying in Wilmington and enjoying the beautiful natural surroundings. Gorgeous hikes and great restaurants are all very close and it was wonderful to have a hot tub to relax in at the end of the day! Enjoyed many mornings taking in the view of the mountains from the balcony. We are hoping to be back soon!

Very clean, cozy cabin. There are beautiful views of whiteface mountain, a great fire pit, and a hot tub. Very close to everything you need but also is private. The host was quick to respond and is very knowledgeable about the area with good hikes, restaurants, and activities to do. I highly recommend this place!
