Lovely Inn with a pub below. Unfortunately we arrived too late on a Sunday to eat in the pub, but breakfast was delicious and substantial. Our room had been updated and contained all we needed. Older buildings have no A/C, and we knew that, so were prepared and kept the window open all night. We slept very well. A fan was available, if needed. We were able to take a nice walk on the trail across the street and then through the local area.

Old pub so took into consideration certain things. The bedroom was small, also the shower room. Old building. The dressing of room was very good.

Liquid hand wash to shower with. No soap. No where to put your tooth brush. I didn't like it that all our toiletries sat on the top of the toilet. A small shelf could have cured that. Also although there were 2 for extinguishers outside on the landing there was only a tiny window with a big drop to get out should the fire be below us

Breakfast was superb, lady that waited on was very polite and attentive, all staff were very friendly and made my stay enjoyable

Chef didn’t turn up first day, but egg’s royal and scrambled eggs with smoked salmon on second morning were beyond expectations. The staff were excellent considering the problem on day one. We have always liked the position of the hotel and are glad it’s back.

Must check while booking because top rooms are difficult if you are older and shower room a bit low if you are taller but we coped and it didn’t spoil our visit.

Great location and lovely decor

Breakfast was amazing & very generous! Room was spotlessly clean and a high standard. We’ve been away on a few mini breaks and always been disappointed but this place was FAB!

From start to finish, the staff were friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and nicely decorated, with stunning views of the surrounding countryside. One of the highlights of my stay was the food. The hotel's restaurant serves delicious cuisine. I loved being able to enjoy my meal while taking in the picturesque scenery. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a peaceful, relaxing getaway in the countryside. The combination of top-notch service, comfortable accommodations, and breathtaking views make for an unbeatable experience. Five stars all around!

The breakfast was first class. The staff were so welcoming and friendly.

Parking a bit limited, we had to park in the road when we came back from a day out.

A beautiful setting and the staff were both friendly and professional. Dinner was delicious as was breakfast. We will be returning!

The Eliot Arms is outstanding Cotswolds accomodation. The rooms are excellent and there is a quality bar and restaurant within the hotel. The staff are very engaged. I look forward to staying again.

The hotel was nice. The food was outstanding, so much…. Nice setting, a few good choices of beers. Room was a little tired, but comfy…. Breakfast is very nice. Great staff too.

Close proximity to Cirencester.

(please see photos) Very dirty, dust everywhere. Smears on windows. Worrying stains on carpet. TV wasn't tuned upon arrival. Two tiles fallen off bathroom wall (and others very loose). Damp on ceilings and both window ledges. Handle on wardrobe missing (just a screw showing). One of the bedroom lamps broken. Carpet didn't look like it had been hoovered in weeks. Dirty shower screen. Shower was tepid at best.... the list goes on. I emailed the owners through Booking.com with a chance for them to explain but no reply. Avoid at all costs (unless of course you like dirt!)

Pub was quiet but that`s probably because of my comments below and most were avoiding it !

No soap in the room at all Coffee sachets , 1 normal and 6 decaff !!! It all gave the impression no one really cared These are small details which would take a few seconds to get right

lovely location lovely staff and great little pub beds were super comfy

unfortunately no food was available because of staff shortage room was very dusty and could do with a bit of work, tiles off in bathroom no bathroom window privacy but overall comfortable and value for money

lovely scenic area - true English surroundings, quiet, idyllic and relaxing.

quite run down inside - the room was basic and parts, not overly clean. the shower gel had run out and the bathroom was shabby.
