I would highly recommend this house for families and kids. Have being coming to Claddaghduff area for last 40 years and this is by far the best house yet. I’m glad that I got he opportunity to use the house this year. I wish Gail the very best.

This is a beautiful house in a lovely, quiet location. Very well equipped kitchen and comfortable bedrooms. We didn't need to use the log fire but sure that will be fantastic and make the place very cosy in the winter months. We had a great stay and look forward to hopefully staying again.

Walking, visiting local features and attractions. Eating well in Clifden. The house is well designed, well-maintained and exactly as advertised. Strongly to be recommended.

A home away from home with everything we needed for a holiday. Wonderful location for walking - seaside, laneways or Connemara. The home is cosy and a great place to relax. A great host, responsive and helpful.

House was great and in good condition. 3 good bedrooms and a separate area for the kids upstairs. It was great sitting by the fire listening to the wind outside. 2 min walk to a little beach (Anchor Beach) which the kids loved exploring at low tide. We swam on 3 days in November! Recommended host and property

Wonderful isn’t enough to describe this house near the nice village of Cleggan located few minutes walk away from dreamlike beaches and the most beautyful nature.
House itself is outstanding and features everything you will need.
Galway is bit over an hour to drive, the surrounding area is stunning.

We had an amazing week. Beautiful house. Very homely, cosy and spacious. Our three kids aged 11, 8 and 6 loved anchor beach which is a walk away. Bedrock has everything needed for families staying. Only one recommendation is an outdoor tap after beach trips. We plan on another trip. Highly reccomend xx

Perfect getaway
We are a family of 5 and have stayed here a number of times.
We love both the house and the area. The house has been updated since our last visit and is very comfortable and well equipped. It is near a beautiful, small beach with lots of local walks and a pub/shop nearby in Claddaghduff. Omey Island, Inisbofin, Clifden and Letterfrack are within easy reach. For us it is a perfect and peaceful getaway.

We had a real good time at Bedrock. Perfectly located for beach and dog walks. Only 10’ drive from Cleggan where you can enjoy perfect seafood at Oliver’s. We only missed WiFi at the house but the owners said they were looking into this in the near future.

A wonderful holiday
By far the best house my family have stayed in, in the West of Ireland. Very well equipped for all weathers and a wonderful design that makes the most of the landscape without being flashy or inappropriate. An absolute pleasure to stay in this lovely home.

A comfortable house with excellent facilities in a truly idyllic setting.
we had a really enjoyable stay. the kitchen was exceptionally well equipped and the wet room looks brand new. the location was perfect for our needs. only down side was that some of the chests of drawers in bedrooms were dusty/ dirty/ damp smelling inside and needing cleaning out. there was also an odd smell in the bunk bed room which I could not locate the source of. Neither of these issues would stop us from staying there again.

Beautiful Bolthole
Bedrock is the ideal place when you want to get away from it all. Stunning scenery, beautiful walks, and excellent cottage with everything that you need. Cleggan Village is close by and Clifden a short drive away,. We had a fabulous few days away, and already planning when to return.

Great House
We had a great time at this property - It has a great location north of Clifden with a beach very close by - the house is very well stocked and the accommodation is very comfortable - the bathroom at ground floor level has been completely redone since our stay last year - I would highly recommend this property!

Should have been fantastic!
“Bedrock is in a fantastic location with a nice beach nearby. We were disappointed that the house was not clean or tidy when we arrived and it could have been much better presented. We also experienced problems with the sewage system and the boiler. The owner tried to help with these issues from a distance as the caretaker was on holiday.
A final resolution was reached with the owner after we returned home at the end of our holiday. Hopefully our experience means that future holidaymakers have a much happier stay with all the issues we raised no longer apparent.”

Lovely vacation rental
We stayed mid April at Bedrock - six adults - and there was plenty of room for all of us without feeling like we were stepping over each other! There was plenty of kitchen items which allowed us to make coffee, breakfast and dinner and not run out of utensils. Gail left instructions on how to turn on hot water, and there was plenty for all of us.
Our only suggestion would be to make sure your GPS system has the address correctly so that you are not driving in the dark, trying to find the gate name "Bedrock" as there are no addresses or road lights and the house was not lit up. But it was a nice location to find in the day time!

Great house
This property really impressed us. The location was great - very scenic - with a lovely small cove / beach close by. We brought our two dogs so the outbuilding was wonderful.
Its location close to Cleggan and Omey beach really suited us as we did not wish to stay in Clifden .
The house was very very comfortable - and very well equipped with good quality equipment.
The lady who manages the property was most helpful and only a phonecall away - we will definitely be renting this property again next summer.

Great family get away.
The house is large and only seconds to the beach. It has everything you could ask for and if you have forgotten something Sweeney's is only a few minutes away with pub, restarant and market. An absolute must for the quiet getaway.

Warm Modern Clean Cosy
We had a wonderful stay in Bedrock during July14. The house is superbly equipped and very clean – we had an infant with us so this was paramount – we has no worries at all in this house. A real comfy yet modern building that is laid out with great thought and attention to detail. The table tennis room is good when weather turns wet. Unlike a lot of houses in area (of which we have stayed in many over the years) this house really feels like a nice holiday home - and not an overused/rented investment property. Really looking forward to getting back to Aughrusbeg next year – we will be booking this house/home again. A great spot in a wonderful part of the world.

Great house in a great location
Lovely house with a very comfortable feel, plenty of space and all you need provided. The location is beautiful and peaceful with great sea views and is just a short walk to some small sandy beaches. There is a well-stocked shop in Claddaghduff and plenty of life in Clifden. The owner was very helpful and easy to deal with - we would love to visit again.

Gorgeous cosy and modern cottage
This is a modern house with a real cottage feel to it, really nicely finished and furnished, it has a very homely feel to it. The owner was very pleasant and easy to deal with. I'd highly recommend it whether it's for a family summer break or a place to hide away and watch the wild Atlantic winter storms outside.
