We had a good week in Christchurch and it was great to have this clean, warm, comfortable and well equipped home as our base. Rose is very helpful and responsive. Second time staying in Strowan and would definitely return.

Close the property was to a busy main road. It was quite noisy outside but fine inside. Very well equipped and comfortable. Would have liked some wine glasses and there wasn’t a coffee machine which had been listed - however these weren’t anything major. Overall good value for money and a really great option for us as a much more homely alternative to a hotel. Thanks so much Rose!

Close to nice set of shops and cafes, great off-street parking, comfy beds and well-appointed house - including SKY and wifi passwords on arrival making for happy teenagers - nothing at all to complain about! Rose is a great communicator so plenty of opportunity to ask if something was required. Highly recommend this house for a comfortable city stay.

We had a very comfortable stay here at Rose's property and it was easy access to activities. While on a fairly busy road... there is no street noise inside.
We left behind our daughter's tablet and Rose was very accomodating in terms of quickly sorting that out. .. Thankyou.

Very modern and comfortable
Rose's communication made things very easy. The place is very modern and warm, with heating throughout, which was appreciated in June. The Sky TV and Netflix was ideal for relaxing in the evenings. The location, while a little outside the town centre, is handy for all parts of Christchurch by car and there is a very nice pub / eatery just down the road, as well as some pretty cool shops. Highly recommended.

The perfect place
It was our sons wedding .... we were able to book both properties...and they were the perfect place to stay for the event ...they are both so well presented.. comfy beds, lovely linen, generous number of luxury towels, good iron and ironing board and great array of basic provisions in the pantry ..... thank you for letting us stay .... we would definitely book again.

Clean comfort
An easy to find and extremely well kept property in Christchurch. A little too far to walk downtown, but an easy drive to three hour free parking at the botanic gardens. Definitely one of the better cottages we've used over years of travel.

Just fabulous
Our stay in New Zealand has been just fabulous starting with a fabulous property with everything you would want or need. Very handy location with access to all areas. The beds were so comfortable, it was difficult to prise ourselves out of them. Our hosts were always available if we needed them (which we didn’t). Thank you so much for making our stay one to remember with very fond memories. Will definitely be back.

Don’t go past this place it is awesome.
Our experience was a wonderful one. Rose and Graham were great people, friendly helpful and Strowan House was a warm and exceptional place to come home to. A real home away from home. We highly recommend this place.

Home from home
We have stayed in many places but this one tops them all. Warm, well stocked with things you would need for your stay along with extras like a cupboard full of toys, soft comfy beds, Netflix, Sky, wifi, toiletries etc etc. Highly recommended. Great value. Gracious hosts.

We had such an amazing Holiday in Christchurch staying at Strowan house, Rose & Graeme we’re very helpful and very easy to communicate with, the property was warm, clean, comfortable and had everything we needed for a home away from home, very central to everything.
