Locally in Xonrupt, there is a bakery, excellent Alsatian caterer, grocery store, pharmacy, post office, ATM, and of course, restaurants. Les Jardins de Sophie, the luxury hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant in Xonrupt-Longemer is 500 meters away on foot in the forest. In winter, the ski resorts are less than 10 km away: La Bresse Hohneck, Lispach or Gérardmer, and the small local piste of Poli, ideal for beginners and children, is 5 minutes away. In summer, the Longemer lake 10 minutes away on foot allows swimming and canoeing, unless you prefer to go to Gérardmer for its various nautical activities. And the Belbriette in the garden is a very pleasant option for sunbathing and cooling off. The area is full of hikes from the chalet, on foot or with snowshoes / cross-country skiing in winter.
