Staff are super hospitable but it lacks detailed oriented cleaning. The place could be such a gem if it was in better conditions

We were expecting a higher standard for a 9.5 review hotel and the price. The room is big and spacious but it lacks cleaning standards. The curtains were super stained, the toilette hasn’t been properly cleaned which looks brownish (this would be a simple fix with Clorox or baking soda) and the shower curtain seems like it’s not cleaned consistently and it’s accumulating bacteria’s at the bottom (hence pinkish color) The place is Fran from everything… so unless you have your own transport or willing to spend more money on cabs than the actual price of the place, then we would not recommend people staying here

Quiet and clean place, supermarket around the corner, two nice dogs, comfortable beds and we got a free upgrade, wifi is good and air condition works perfectly, there was a mosquito net in our room:)

Curtains in sleeping room and shower curtain need to be cleaned urgently, there are no bigger restaurants around-you will need a scooter or take a grab taxi

Such a nice place. Very friendly staff. Calm neighbourhood with enough facilities. Close to night market and Sukawati. Owner helped us with scooter rental. We had a great time!

The staff was super friendly and helped us whenever they could. There are three friendly dogs and super cute puppies. However the dogs bark sometimes which didn’t bother us too much. The breakfast was nice, you can choose the night before. The pool is spacious and clean, the sunbeds are comfy and even in shade. The location is a bit off the touristy parts of bali which we really loved. We rented a motorbike for 80k/day so you can easily get to all beaches and restaurants.

The family at Graha Madesimon are wonderful, friendly and welcoming. We felt right at home from day one. Their dogs are friendly and cute- we were also lucky enough to stay while there was 10 day old puppies around and they were so adorable. Definitely felt like a good place for backpackers to come together. The rooms were simple, but very clean and had wifi and aircon. The pool and garden area were beautiful. The accomm was quiet at night. About a 20-30 min walk to coffee and the “town”. The immediate area has very few tourists and the locals are super friendly. loved it.

The family and the staff are exceptional. What an amazing experience to be so warmly welcomed and cared for. The free coffee and tea is a great bonus - they even invited me to use the kitchen if I needed to. The room was quiet and peaceful, and the view of the garden is amazing. Speaking of gardens: The garden is divine. Such a hidden pearl! The owners have created a quiet little haven where you can relax and listen to the wind through the trees while you're chilling by the pool. The son drove me to Seminyak after my stay, and we had a great conversation. He is also so friendly and helpful. All in all a wonderful experience. And they have really funny dogs!

If you're not used to Bali dogs barking all night and the traditional prayers that occur in the villages every day at 6, 12 and 18, then you should bring earplugs - it's not the owner's fault, but it could come as a little shock if you're used to staying in tourist areas where this does not occur.

Madesimon is a paradise in the middle of the authentic Bali culture. Far away from the tourist crowd one is able to reflect on the magic of this wonderful culture, people and environment. The pool is 10 meters long and five meters wide, surrounded by grass and an immaculate garden. The staff treated me like family and I loved it so much I extended my stay for a month.

Wonderful stay there, great room, beatiful garden with swimming pool, quiet, very friendly, you can feel like at home. We really recommend. Also recommend Pizarro warung if staying there, great fresh fish different every day - delicious!

Quite far to the bigger shop...

The house keeper Komang, is very cool and very welcoming, we had a long conversation together, he helped me on the planning of my Trip, and gave me good tips to explore the maximum of bali. We talked a lot about life, culture and everything. The house owner is very welcoming, she's very cool, and treat her guest as family members. It was the most important stay in my Bali trip, here I learned a lot.

Good base for exploration of the island, comfortable room, pool in the garden, very friendly owner and staff :)

Poor internet connection

Everything about Graha Madesimon was beyond amazing. Made has perfected the 5 star resort and villa service with the homestay feel. We were able to stay at Graha for one month, and we’d do it again in a heartbeat. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, and exceptionally clean. We were also there when they cleaned the A/C units for the rooms. It was also our honeymoon! Which we got the most beautiful welcome display for as well. Also! Because of this location, we were perfectly in the middle between exploring the northern parts of the island in Amed, exploring the more coastal side to catch some surf waves, and we were a 20 minute scooter ride from the Sanur harbour to catch a fast ferry to NP. All while avoiding the tourist areas and inflated prices! You seriously can’t beat it. Oh and if you love fur babies, they got ‘em. 🥰 The breakfasts were the cherry on top, and you can’t find more caring, thoughtful staff. Graha truly became our home. We can’t wait to come back.

Pack some earplugs! The roosters go crazy in the neighbourhood. It isn’t usually an issue, but some mornings they get pretty lively. But that has nothing to do with the stay.

Everything was just perfect. The room is very big and perfectly clean. Very nice swimming pool. Quiet place in town. Tasty breakfast. Everyone is so kind!

The Host, the family and workers are so friendly. The pool looked amazing and welcoming unfortunately i did not get a chance to jump into the pool either it was raining or i was busy... The room was very clean. Organic fruits from their yard😋

The location

We absolutely loved staying at Graha Madesimon. Staff were very friendly, helpful and always made us feel at home. Nice, quiet location, lovely outdoor area with the swimming pool. Even wifi exceeded my expectations! It was faster than the one I have at home :)

I expected to have towels changed but only later I read that it’s an additional service. My bad I didn’t notice.

Beautiful well-maintained property. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and super clean. The staff, especially Komang, are wonderful and make this feel like home. He also cooks a great breakfast and goes above to help with anything. The pool and garden area are gorgeous and peaceful. You can use the kitchen to cook and store food. There is a communal lounge and dining area where you can eat and hang out. This was the private home of Made and her family and was turned into a homestay when the children grew up and moved out.

These aren't necessarily negatives, but items of note: -There aren't a lot of options for eating out/food/getting a drink in the immediate area. You will have to take a ride or order food delivery, which was fine. -This place is operating as a long-term stay at the moment. Four of their six rooms are for long-term guests who "live" there. Of the two available rooms, one is less desirable as it is on the ground floor next to the kitchen and lounge where people hang out. You may get that room even if you book the one in the photo, which is upstairs with a view. Also, because it's for long-term guests, people stay here all day every day working on computers, etc. It's just a different vibe vs a short-term tourist place to stay. -Most of the people here smoke a lot of cigarettes and there is no designated smoking area, so this was a big issue for me. I kept having to move to a different spot to get away from the smokers.

AMAZING PEOPLE, super friendly, super breakfast, super pool, super guests, super dogs, easy to park bike, supermarket just outside, air conditioning in every room, coffee included all day long anytime you want. you can also use kitchen if you want to cook something by yourself. there is barbecue you can use. Owner and staff are awesome and kind people. Will be def coming back when I’m in Bali again 🙂 EVERYTHING WAS EXCELLENT 🙂🙋‍♂️ Thank you ALL
