Terrible decision

Only the front desk staff is nice.

The first room I checked into exhibited numerous issues, including spider webs, a shattered mirror, a television on the verge of falling, and a tissue box stained with unidentifiable substances. Moreover, the bathroom was disorganized with misplaced toiletries, and the showerhead provided only a minimal water flow, making it inconvenient for use. This experience fell far below my expectations for a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Could’ve been a lot better if we were placed in a room on an upper floor.

Recently built

We were in a first floor room that was beside the outside door where people smoke. The smoke smell was very noticeable and made it difficult to sleep. Upper floor rooms should’ve been available because the parking lot wasn’t very full.

Excellent hotel (if you must stay in Elyria)

This area of Cleveland seems very depressed, and there are many empty strip malls and other signs of blight. However, if you need to stay in the area (we are parents of a kid at Oberlin), this is a *great* hotel among a number of hotels choices that are *really* grubby. Very clean, very safe, very new and modern. I've stayed at Courtyard Marriott hotels while traveling on business for years, and this one was the nicest I've experienced. Do stay here if you must be in this strange part of Ohio!

Not worth your night or money

Clean, modern room that was quiet while sleeping, even being next to the Turnpike. Bed was comfortable to sleep in. Easy check in and check out process.

Breakfast situation is asinine: completely unclear where to go or what to do. Staff do not track people who have included breakfast, for some reason, so you need to bring it up in booking. Even then, breakfast is the most disappointing thing, lacking even basic dishes. Staff seemed to not care about this at all. I basically wasted the money getting a reservation with breakfast. Location is sketch AF, next to an abandoned mall and a f-ing drug den that used to be another hotel. Yet they still charge you the same rate as a safe hotel. Legit thought my car was going to be stolen. Room was way too warm and AC did not cool effectively. Even the halls were way too hot. Water pressure in shower was extremely weak. Not enough trash cans. Or at least make them bigger. From this experience, I will not be staying at a Marriott hotel again. Hilton's or IHG's are going to be better.

I will not stay a another Courtyard!

There was only breakfast if you order off a menu. No Continental breakfast. The only coffee available was the stuff in your room. For the price I paid for the room I thought there could have been some some decent coffee in the lobby.

The room was clean and comfortable, and I slept like a baby on the king size bed.

I liked the room that we stayed in. It was clean and modern looking. The shower was huge and beautiful! The young lady that greeted us and checked us in at the front desk was very friendly.

The room could have been a little cleaner. The carpet had some dirt on it, and the bathroom mirror was a little dirty. The WORST part of all was the VERY NOISY housekeeping staff in the morning!! I woke up around 10 am to hear VERY LOUD talking and laughing from the housekeeping staff!! This was a horrible ending to an otherwise very nice stay.

The facility was great. It was clean and we were able to check in as soon as we arrived…well, as soon as they found our reservation that is.

Booking.com screwed up my name and the manager even had a hard time finding our reservation. WE ALMOST LEFT!! The only reason we didn’t was because booking.com would have still charged us the full amount of the room!!! We begged them to keep looking… It is in a very dilapidated area with not much to do around it. We had to figure out how to get through an old abandoned hotel just to get to the hotel we were staying at. I will be deleting the booking.com app and will not be using it again.

Not worth the price.

The bed was very comfortable and the room was a nice size.

The room was not clean, there was garbage in the trash (I don’t use axe), long hairs in the bathroom, and the shower looked like it could use a good bleaching because it had a brown stain on the bench and little black spots around the calking. Had I not been exhausted from driving all day, I would have noticed it before I fell into bed. When I checked in the person at the desk told me my credit card was declined and asked for a different one. I told her that I paid on a different app, and I showed her my credit statement with the charge. She then said, oh never mind, our credit system must be broken. It just seemed suspicious. The thing that annoyed me the most is that I asked to be in a room facing away from the highway and she said there were no rooms facing away, which isn’t true. I was just too tired to argue with her. So I had to have the fan running on high and a brown noise machine running all night to drown out the noise of semis jake-braking all night as they went through the toll. All of this is after you drive around an abandoned mall and an abandoned convention center to get to the end of the road, making it feel like a scene from The Last of Us.

I did not get charged the correct amount. The room was 139 with 12.8% tax, which is 156. When I got to the hotel, they charged me 180.

Good value and comfort for the money.

Very comfortable bed. Quiet room. Functional layout.

I think the room smelled of cannabis. The towels were somewhat worn. Shower head sprayed out on the bathroom floor.

Their Bistro snacks at night were delicious.

Pool was closed whole time here and that was the main reason we went there. TV issues in our room. No maintenance on duty, so we had to figure it out ourselves.

Good Hotel For The Money

Clean, updated. Friendly and helpful staff.

The shower leaks all over the floor no matter what you do. They did not salt the parking lot and it was a sheet of ice in the morning.
