Great price. Comfy bed. No remote for the tv and bed sheets weren't fresh but there was a back up set aside. Overall it was a great deal and i would stay again.

I was born and raised in Cleveland for 21 years. I came back for 3 years, so a total of 24 years. I'm aware of the neighborhood.
I had no problem with the area. I had issues with the landlord. We had called, emailed, and texted the landlord for some issues that we needed to get taken care of, and had ABSOLUTELY no response from them. I would not go back!

Location was perfect for weekend agenda. Would have been nice to have stoppers for sinks and tub. As a result, couldn't take a bath (shower only) and had no way to fill kitchen sink with water to wash dishes. Could have used a wash basin for kitchen sink but none provided.

On the positive side, the property appeared to be very clean and the neighborhood was quiet, but a little run-down. Nice tv and Wifi access. Plenty of hot water and the kitchen had sufficient pots, pans, and dishware for our needs.
However, after having made my reservation, I had to contact the owner the next day for details about key codes and additional information about the property. It was an older, multi-unit home and for what it's worth, the interior left a little to be desired. The entry door to the apartment was so ill-fitting that huge gaps were evident both top and bottom. The bedroom closet had no door and the bed had no box springs. The cleaning supplies, ( broom, mop, bucket), were stacked in the corner of the bathroom in plain view, giving the appearance of a utility closet.
As for the parking, there was a long, single lane driveway to serve the multiple units of the house. When I sent a message to the property manager inquiring where we should park, I was informed that we could either pull up all the way so as not to block it for others and hope that we didn't get blocked in ourselves, or that street parking was allowed. But for the three days we were there, it was always fully parked up, as it is a densely populated inner city neighborhood with few parking options for the residents who live there.
I might have tolerated all this without comment and simply chalked it up to a bad choice on my part were it not for an incident that occurred on our last night there. We had brought various packaged foodstuffs with us and, in hindsight, perhaps foolishly, had left several bags on the kitchen table. Halfway through dinner, after retrieving some items from one of the bags, I saw that a mouse had chewed through some of the packages and left many mouse droppings inside the bag and subsequently on the kitchen table. To say that this is unacceptable would be an understatement. I have no words. I immediately sent a text about the event to the property manager and have yet to receive a reply.
This experience will certainly give me pause before choosing HomeAway services again.
