I loved Catherine's flexibility and accommodation of our friend also coming to stay at short notice. The rooms are lovely and this would suit any couple and friends, or couple with children. The walk down to the restaurants gives you a little work out on the way back, and is scenic and easy. The facilities are great - Catherine is easy going and welcoming, and leaves out little notes about everything and where it goes. There are basic provisions, to be expected, but also books, maps and guidance about the local area so you can figure out what to do. The shower room is clean and really warm and bright. The power of the shower is lovely. The beds are comfortable and the main room itself is big and luxurious, with high ceilings and a great couple of chairs to just sit and hang out and read / relax in.

Truly I can't think of anything. You have to come with the expectation of sharing the shower room with friends / your children if you come, as there is only one bathroom and access to it is through the main room, but if you are a family that can easily be accommodated.

The room was large and comfortable and the use of the mini kitchenette in the adjacent bedroom enabled us to 'self cater' for breakfast. Street parking was available if not immediately adjacent to the property...Hastings old town was a 15min walk.

The location was good and a pleasant walk to/from the city centre, a charming neighbourhood. The rooms were clean, cozy and decorated tastefully in vintage style.

Liked everything, it's nice that the guests take the shoes off when they enter the house, meaning the premises are kept clean and tidy. Slippers are available upstairs. One small point is that it would have been more convenient if slippers were made available downstairs upon entry.

The location was ideal for the purpose my friend and I were there, which was a couple of days walking. The rooms were comfortable and clean.

Enjoyed the large room with it's style, outlook etc Good ensuite. And I liked being able to make cuppa tea or coffee in the adjpining room, as I'm usually up much earlier than my wife.

The owner was very welcoming and helpful, the room was big and bright, comfy bed, nice bathroom with choice of lighting, and there was another room to use for making drinks or reading. Relaxed atmosphere. No restrictions on parking. Quiet house (only one guest + owner) and area, handily located for Hastings old town and Hastings Country Park.

Lovely host, lovely place, very clean, comfortable and great value for money. Powerful shower, lovely reading room with extensive amount of cutlery, crockery and teas and coffee - very thoughtful and well suited to every need! Facilities also included an oven/ microwave. Will definitely stay again with this wonderful host. Catherine offers spinal realignment services too, a great bonus for anyone wishing to stay

Location was good. Room was clean and bright but cold. We were there in early April and the room was cold. There was no heating on. The shower was very clean. It worked well and the water was hot. Unfortunately though the bed was awful. It was uncomfortable. It creaked very loudly at the slightest move. Kitchen facilities were basic. Biscuits provided were lose in a tin so not very hygenic. Sadly, we would not stay again.

Extremely uncomfortable noisy bed. No heating so the room was cold. Tea and coffee making facilities had no milk or normal tea bags and would have been better placed in the room.

Location was nice & quiet, nice looking house with a very well appointed room & ensuite.

The property had a strange feel, and was run in a way which never really felt homely with guidance notes on things which felt school like.

Very disappointing for the price we paid which did not include breakfast. Tea and coffee was provided but there was no milk and not individual coffee sachets. The room was not heated and was cold at night. The bed was extremely uncomfortable and creaked and groaned loudly with every slight move. One of the worse we have slept in. Can't fault the shower or the products provided which were good quality, nor the room which was clean and tidy. A light at the front door would be useful as it was quite dark unlocking the front door at night. Unfortunately, we would not want to stay there again.

Catherine was an outstanding host, very helpful and her place is a really relaxing, well thought and decorated haven. from the colours and spotless functionality to the biscuits in the tin and your own sitting room complete with anything you might need, it was perfect for me and my 8yr old daughter. looking forward to staying there again if in Hastings.

As promised, the room was large, sunny, clean and well decorated with lovely attention to detail, a powerful ensuite shower and heated floor. The bed was very comfortable and roomy. Catherine was very thoughtful and keen to make our stay a pleasant one.

We didn't need it but there is no TV (which may be a problem for the technically challenged non wi fi users like us) .

Catherine was a wonderful host. The room was lovely, very clean, peaceful and comfortable and she provided everything one would need. I loved the decor and the fact it was only a short walk to the old town. Thank you, I would definitely stay here again. Lillian and Mike
