This place was absolutely perfect for what I wanted. Located in the humble quiet village of Bentuyung you get the peace you’re searching for, but easy access to Ubud via taxi, scooter or walking (40 mins). I personally was avoiding the chaos and chose to stay away from it all. I found the beauty in that! Lovely restaurants only seconds from the driveway and gorgeous locals greeting you with a smile every morning. The rooms have a surreal jungle view. It really immerses you in the tropical elements of it all. Beds are big and comfy and the bath is deep and with a little essential oil- you’re in heaven. There are some minor maintenance works to attend to like regulating temps on hot water systems, and tiny aesthetic blemishes (that are undoubtedly a result of covid periods of no visitors) but to me, that gave it even more good character! Honestly, lovely. If you are after a secluded peaceful experience with the option for exploring the beautiful bustle of Ubud, than this is the place for you. I’ll be back. 100%!

Swimming pool is amazing. Rooms are comfortable with nice jungle view. It's located in very nice and calm part of Ubud. Having scooter is recommended. Stuff helped us with bags since there are many steps to the part with rooms.
We didn't order breakfast. Not many options, but that's not a problem.

The stuff was so kind and helpful like really even the manager took me to center of Ubud. And they were helpfull with everything. In the room was mini bar with beers, cola and other drinks. Staff cleans room everyday.
I had a room at groundfloor and I think this was the problem. There was a lot of humidity. And the whole woom was filled with that and kind of smelly. Also the room was filles with lot kind of bugs. But I believe if I got room upstairs it could be much better.

this location is amazing.
My first time in SE Asia, first time Bali, fist time Ubud, and Manah Shanti is the best possible choice I could make.
it’s a dream.
the pool area is also a big plus.
the rooms are very nice and spacious.
it’s classified as a 3 star , but it should be at least a 4 star.
I will for sure be back.
nothing. everything was great.

The pictures do not make justice to how green this place is. A really nice place, just 7 minutes away from the center of Ubud.

The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, they helped us to organize a scooter which is very useful to explore all around Ubud. They always checked on us to make sure that everything goes well and they can give you good tips and recommendations.
We had a very good stay at this property but we were a bit disappointed with the cleanliness of the room. The toilet was dirty (stains of mold), strong smell of humidity and we had to wait few minutes to get hot water in the shower.

View and location
The strong smell of mold, and the humidity inside the room. It feels uncomfortable, especially during rainy days. Breakfast was not that satisfying. Because of the humidity in the room, the pillow and the blankets were humid.

Wonderful resort! Small, authentic, glorious facilities and the staff were so friendly and accommodating! Rooms were HUGE! Bathrooms were also enormous and lovely garden area backing onto the jungle. Truly wonderful!

lovely staff - comfortable bed - large room
lovely place to stay - however it could do with a little TLC and also a shame that they have a bar and kitchen but only serve breakfast, they don’t serve any drinks or snacks by the pool etc, would be great if they started doing

Room with jungle view was big and nice.
The structure itself is very beautiful.
Location is next to other hotels and restaurants but very quiet.
The staff was very kind and helped us the best they could.
The room was not clean and very humid.
There was mold in many corners of toilet, shower
was dirty and pillows on sofas and carpets were stained.
We had booked 3 nights but left after first night.
We explained to the staff and they agreed for us to pay that one night.
This hotel probably suffered the lock down during Covid19.
With a very exhaustive cleaning, we believe it will be a great place.

SCAM!!! we had to pay 50.000 IDR per day for the scooter and had it for five days, so we had to pay 250.000, but instead they took 2.500.000! it was via credit card and i guess they just added one zero after showing us the amount on the machine. they always typed it in manually, as almost everywhere in bali. back home when we noticed i contacted them, and the experience was the same as the experience there: nobody understands anything, they send me screenshots of their account movings from a completely wrong month first, then the right month, but clearly not the right account (because for example also our payment for the room itself wasn’t shown on that one). i will contact my bank now and try to get the money back in some way. also when we were there: we say and write explicitly three times that we are vegetarian and get sausages on our breakfast, all the dispensers in the bathroom are empty and they fill up only a little bit so it’s empty again the next day and some of them they don’t even fill up at all, when we arrived they couldn’t find our booking and despite of having many free rooms they let us wait in the lobby for 1,5 hours while we were very tired, almost only children seem to work there and they don’t ever say hello back to you or anything, but according to their looks they must really really hate the guests, but the worst thing really was the combination of not understanding most of the things you say and not really caring. i was on the phone with the manager a lot of times when he was not at the hotel (but the manager is almost worse than the staff), and overall i had the feeling that i was doing the staff’s work. for example i also went up to the lobby a few times to get towels or toilet paper when they had forgotten it. we even wrote them lists for the room service what they should do (very basic stuff like new toilet paper, new bed sheets, take the empty dishes, etc.), and they still forgot several things every single time.

The location is pretty good, it's not in the main road of ubud, so it's not crowded. The room is pretty big, and there're also a bathtub to relaxing in the night
Maybe because it's pretty close with the forest, the room is so humid that in the morning, the floor will be wet, and it will be pretty dangerous when we just wake up from the bed. And there's so much ant, the big one and the small one. The veranda is also not good, maybe because the pandemic, it's dirty, both the sofa and the table chair in veranda, so we can't use it.
And the refrigerator is smelly, seems like someone used it to save durian before, so the smell is so strong and not good

Definitely NOT a 4 star resort. The first day we arrived the bathroom and toilet were very dirty and the room did not seem to have been cleaned / prepared at all before our arrival. They do not provide hand towels or hand soap. And for the slippers you have to ask for them (even if it is stated in the reservation that they provide).
The daily cleaning service is terrible. They do not pay attention to what is missing in the room. For example, we always asked for basic things like a toilet paper.
Breakfast not good at all. They need to improve it.
Very disappointed with this hotel.

the setting and the size of room
This hotel could be exceptional however the rooms were quite unclean toilets stained and dirt in the sink. Covers on the chairs especially in the balcony were stained and covered in ants so couldn’t use that area. The shower sprayed everywhere and so we had to use the shower in the bath which was uncomfortable. The towels that should have been white where worn and almost brown in colour. The umbrellas for sun outside were brown/ green and had looked like they had been left out all of covid but then it put you off lying under them. I think covid has effected a lot of hotels in Bali and the standards so hopefully with time this will be back to the standard that previous reviews gave it.

One of the best beds and pillows! A had an amazing sleep. The room was pretty cozy and vast, too. The ambiance was awesome–the sound of the river was soothing. The air-con was top-notch!
When I checked in, I was welcome who seemed to not be the front desk clerk, or maybe a trainee. He didn't explain anything about the room or the hotel, nor did he reconfirm my booking. At a later time, I had to go back and forth to the reception to ask for things and knew that the phone connecting my room and reception didn't work.
Walking into the room, I loved it. But I then soon found out that there was no complimentary water, no other amenities in the room, not even a dental kit. Though, the bathroom has a hairdryer (which was a plus).
The breakfast was just okay. I had a somewhat American breakfast but they used a cheap sausage and had cooked the plastic that wrapped it.
