A decent enough hotel, with friendly and helpful staff and at least one super comfy bed

The bed was huge and really comfortable. I had a tremendous night’s sleep. The staff were helpful, relaxed and courteous. It was clean, apart from the staircase. It is about a kilometre out from town and up a hill, so unless you fancy the hill, you will need a tuk tuk. When you see how polluted Kandy is, you will realise that being a little out of the city centre is not a bad thing at all.

One of the steepest staircases I have ever encountered in a hotel. The breakfast was not particularly imaginative. It was okay, but functional, rather than tasty.

Good looking hotel on the pics but reailty is a bit different rooms are stinks from smell of food!

-big rooms -good brekkie -very helpful restaurant manager -we booked on a good discounted price (did not worth more though)

-we did not get the room what we booked, but the restaurant manager was very helpful and we could move to the originally booked room on the second night. -we stayed in 3 different rooms, one on the top floor was very loud as 2 different machines were humming alternately until late night and from early morning. The other two rooms’ bathroom windows were facing to the hotel’s inner corridor and food smell from the kitchen was coming into the rooms from 6am - even when the bathroom doors were closed our rooms was stinky from food. Also conversations from the lobby area were echoing in the rooms. -There are no chairs and a table on the balcony. -Hotel is quiet high on the hill, not an easy and short walk from the city, and you cannot really see the lake too. -Hotel looks better on the pictures then in real, quiet used, stained curtain, dirty walls and tiles.

Une étape courte mais réussie

Chambre très spacieuse! Le lit est très confortable. L’hôtel est au calme, niché pas loin du view point. Facile à trouver, et l’hôtel envoie un petit message avant l’arrivée pour ne pas se faire arnaquer par les Tuktuk!

Grille de l’entrée fermée à 23:00 et compliqué de trouver une sonnette ou un numéro auquel téléphoner… merci à mon driver PickMe d’avoir fait le nécessaire. Présence de petits insectes un peu partout dans la chambre et surtout sur le bois.

Great staff

Staff was amazing. When checking in a refreshing fruit drink was given to me. When I checked out I accidentally left a shopping bag behind. The staff gave me a call to tell me. After returning to retrieve my items the staff had safely hidden it away. I had a great experience.

Perfect

This hotel is perfect. We stayed four nights. The staff was incredibly helpful, the rooms were large and clean, the breakfast, which was slightly different every day, was consistently delicious. I would stay here again for sure.

TV signal was sometimes weak.

Das Zimmer war geräumig.

Die Lage war für uns zu weit außerhalb. Es gab keine Bar.

- nicht sauber, Haare im Raum, Bad nicht gereinigt (inklusive Reste in Toilette…) - Duschen ging nur entweder kalt oder kochend heiß, nix dazwischen - Abfluss von anderen Zimmern im Bad laut hörbar

Nice and spacious place to stay in Kandy, would recommend!

- nice and helpful staff (We changed our booking from two nights to one night. After some language issues it was no problem at all and we didn’t have extra fees) - spacious room and bathroom - good shower - nice view especially in the morning - good breakfast

Didn’t order food. Mosquito in room Room up many steep stairs. Room had bad aroma Shower cold then scalding hot 2* at best. Probably won’t trust site again

Favourite hotel of our trip

Room was big, bed was massive, shower was amazing. Good, central location. Breakfast was probably one of the better we have had in Sri Lanka. Staff were attentive but not excessively so. Also they quickly sorted laundry for us (within 24 hours) There were no negatives to our stay

Not a 4 star hotel

Nuwan has been very kind and available to help with all requests, in person and via whatsapp, providing suggestions for tours around Kandy as well as drivers. Rooms are big and bathrooms were clean. Location is nice though not walkable to the city center.

Not a 4 star hotel. All personnel is nice but quite helpless, they all depend on Nuwan who’s the only one who really helps and takes decisions. One of the staff was not able to get us a not extremely overpriced tuktuk to the center. First night our rooms got infested by flying ants - after notifying this to Nuwan he told us just not to turn on all lights during sunset and this hasn’t happened again, also the rooms got cleaned from all ants. Hot water in one room was not guaranteed and towels are small. Bed sheets are stained, one room had a lot of food rests underneath one of the beds. Haven’t notified all this to the reception so not sure if this could have been changed. It’s a big 3 stars facility in a nice location with poor maintenance and mostly helpless staff. With same price and less stars, score would’ve been higher. Only one keycard per room but this seems common in Sri Lanka.

Ok. Reasonable . Not too great

Room was nice n comfortable. Staff was pleasant.

The hotel is located at a considerable height and it is difficult climb if it is done 3-4 times a day. The hotel restaurant was not operational and access to public transport is very limited. Hot wster in our bsthroom was not available snd we had to use another rooms bathroom.

We had a great time! The staff were excellent and the rooms were comfy and clean.

It was a family reunion where there were nine of us. We all had an excellent time! The breakfast was excellent and the location was convenient. The premises were very clean.

Hotel did an overbooking and couldn’t provide us with the room we booked…

They made an overbooking of double rooms with lake view, so upon our arrival we received a triple room with joint beds, no balcony, no lake view. We could negotiate a 6USD discount but it is still poor given that we booked a nice room with a balcony and views and we got something totally different. We had to go to complain cause the staff wouldn’t tell us about it by themselves, offering breakfast or another gesture by themselves. Disappointing…

Terrible

The location is OK. But you need a tuc tuc to get there.

Our room was right above the dining area and kitchen. Our room smelled like food all the time. It was extremely gross. Staff was very indifferent and did not seem to register any feedback whatsoever. They combine indifference with humility, which does not equate to hospitality at all. This was our worst hotel by far during our three week (!) trip around Sri Lanka.

Okay for 1 night

Staff were attentive and the view from the room was nice, the shower was powerful but no temperature control

Ants in the room, not the most clean room and some stained bedsheets, breakfast was mediocre, the shower was hard to control it was either too hot or too cold. The kettle in the room was the wrong type of plug and the lid for it was broken

Friendly and very helpful staff!

The staff are so friendly and lovely, giving us great advice and recommendations for Kandy. They helped us book whatever we needed, and gave lovely food for breakfast. Prasad went above and beyond to help us every step of the way! Very lovely trip.

A little TLC to the room would be great but nothing really to complain about!

호텔 방에서 바라보는 경치가 너무 좋습니다. 그리고 청결한 방과 침대 그리고 친절한 직원까지 매우 만족 스러웠습니다.

아쉬운 점은 없으나 굳이 찾자면 주차 공간이 넓지는 않습니다. 저희는 주차 했습니다만

Personnel sympa

Personnel sympathique, les chambre sont plutôt spacieuse et l’hôtel n’est pas très loin du centre

Le lit était fait avec une couette et un drap plat à la place d’une housse de couette ce qui fait que ce n’est pas hyper agréable de se retrouver directement sur une couette dans la nuit
