Spacious 4 bedroom, 2 bath custom built log waterfront cottage! This property provides island privacy! In true Muskoka fashion experience a 2 min boat ride (boat provided) from the designated mainland parking lot to the large private dock located in front of the cottage. If need be we will happily meet you upon arrival. Bring your own boat and launch for free to access cottage and lake amenities. Waterfront escape on McVittie Island - Lake Muskoka! Located 10 minutes from downtown Bracebridge. Cottage memories will begin on this island paradise boasting 220 feet of sunset exposure 4 bedroom+loft, and 2 bathroom log home retreat with wrap around covered porch! This cottage is fully stocked and comfortably furnished. All bedroom, bathroom and kitchen linens are provided for your stay. We also have basic spices, olive oil, tea and coffee provided with compliments. This is a family friendly cottage, and is not suitable for party weekends. Enjoy the large dock surrounded by shallow water, ideal for young kids and deeper water off the front of the dock. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space for playing, entertaining, and relaxing. Main floor laundry, fully equipped kitchen and various water toys (2 paddle boats, 2 kayaks- one single and 1 double seated) 2 SUP boards to explore. The property is level and private; complete with all the amenities such as: propane BBQ, fire pit and lots of outdoor seating to name a few. Soak up the sun all day on the dock, enjoy fishing, swimming and boating on Lake Muskoka, Rosseau and Joseph. Evenings around the fire, a sunset sky each night await you! Boaters bringing your own boat have access to the beautiful Muskoka Lakes via the free boat launch located at the same parking area with ample parking for trailers. Boat Rentals are available at Matchless Adventures 705-710-1900, Northern Lakes Marina at 705-706-7096 or Muskoka Boat Rentals at 705-687-1400. Open fires in fire pit only please & check burn restrictions for area before you arrive. Fireworks are not permitted. Please leave the cottage as you found it, tidy and with all garbage disposed of per the check-out checklist. The initial cleaning fee pays for professional cleaners to prepare the cottage for you. A check-out clean may be arranged for an additional fee; otherwise you are expected to leave the cottage as you found it, clean and in tidy condition. Check-in at 4pm. Check-out at 11am. Sleeps 8-10 people. Ideally for families or 8 adults Max. Bath towels, Linens and Wifi included. Please brink your own beach towels. Cottage is on lake water. Please bring your own drinking water. We do supply various size lifejackets however, you may prefer to bring your own lifejackets to ensure proper fit - as per boat bylaw. No Bachelor/Bachelorette Parties, no events. No smoking Family Dog welcomed with fee All potential guests must complete a rental agreement. Please specify when booking if you have a boat licence and/or if bringing your own boat. Any questions can be answered by phone, email, texts at any time. We will greet guests upon arrival on check-in date, however won't interact with our guests during their stay unless it is necessary. Exterior surveillance camera on premises. 100% refund is provided for travellers cancelling at least 60 days before check-in. A 50% refund is provided for travellers cancelling between 30 and 60 days before check-in. Otherwise, no refund will be issued.

Great stay, weather wasn't great but thats in no ones control. Hosts were wonderful. There was a slight delay in the check-in process which was slightly frustrating but otherwise everything was great.

Me and a group of friends stayed at the cottage and had a great trip. The cottage was clean and had lots of equipment for lounging or water recreation. Andria was very helpful and communicated quickly to support us with any questions we had as well as during the check-in and check-out processes. Would highly recommend this property.

My friends and I had a wonderful time on McVittie Island! Andria and John were extremely welcoming and helpful getting us checked in and were quick to respond with any questions. The cottage was clean and tidy and we got tons of use out of the provided kayaks and paddle boards! Location is perfect as Bracebridge is a quick 10 minute drive away for any shopping or exploring the town. We will certainly be looking to return!

More storage space would be appreciated in the kitchen fridge and cupboards. Fridge/freezer had a lot of leftovers from previous renters and most cupboards were full which made it difficult to locate space to store food. We had a great cottage getaway. Great place to stay!

We enjoyed our family Thanksgiving weekend surrounded by all the gorgeous colours of the leaves. The cabin had all the modern conveniences and exceeded our expectations. It was well kept and clean. We enjoyed the proximity to the town. It was very quiet and a great place to rest and relax. Will be back!

We had a lovely stay in this quaint cottage in beautiful surroundings. The location is perfect for having fun on the lake and the added firepit in the garden area is great for comfort as you stargaze.

The cottage is lovely... it's a log cabin with no bells or whistles. Its fully stocked with all of the basic necessities like linens and dishes. It is smaller then it appears in the photographs but there are 3 good size bed rooms and one enormous master suite. There was nothing luxurious about the cottage... most everything is old and there are many things that could use repairs. There's also some safety concerns about the property; the stair case had a railing but no spindles and at the very top a small person could easily fall and seriously hurt themselves, the staircases going into the lake are slime covered and VERY slippery.... multiple people in our group fell, and the dock is uneven and looks like its sinking on the one side. The lounge chairs on the dock are very old and torn, we couldn't use them, but there are 2 kayaks and 2 paddle boats that are in great shape and we used them often! The 'beach' is not sand... it's muck and weeds. The shower in the cottage is awful! The cottage is boat access only which at first seemed really cool but the charm quickly wore off as you needed things from town or simply needed to get to your vehicle... ultimately the cottage is a true 'camp' like experience... we had a wonderful time there and truly enjoyed the atmosphere. One thing to note is the traffic on the water in front of the cottage... it sits directly at the mouth of the access to lake Muskoka and boats are constantly passing by... its definitely not private for being on an island! All in all I'd rent the Harvey cabin again but wouldn't bring my 2 year old back there...

This cottage has it all!!! Our two families with 4 young kids had a lovely stay at Andria's cottage this summer. From their kid friendly lakefront, large dock (with shade), large flat property for playing sports with kids (soccer, volleyball), evening fire pits, deer sightings and that doesn't even cover the interior of the cottage. It is beautifully decorated, clean and spacious all with a warm cozy muskoka feel. Thank you Andria for a great vacation. Looking forward to booking next summer again!!!

Very enjoyable family vacation spot. Kids loved kayaking. Enjoyed fishing too. And the cottage was spacious and kitchen was stocked with anything required for cooking, just bring food! We loved every minute at the cottage and loved lake life!
