About this villa rental

It was once owned by the ancient later noble Florentine families Cavalcanti and Filippo Strozzi Jr. Confiscated from the first Duke of Florence, Alessandro de 'Medici, the property was sold in 1599 to the Spedale di Santa Maria Nuova in Florence, before coming back into the possession of the Strozzi family This detached country house is beautifully located on a hill, in a completely quiet location surrounded by olive grove, a vineyard, and a large garden with stunning panoramic views of the Tuscan countryside. Archipettoli has been restored to a comfortable and well-appointed country house. The pool is located in the middle of 14 acres of land, between olive trees Vineyards and a spacious garden landscape. Several outdoor terraces will invite you to have a meal al fresco and enjoy the sunsets. It is ideally located to explore the cultural attractions of Tuscany.

This property was absolutely charming! I was impressed with the restoration of the property and the amount rooms available for our family. The outside sitting areas and pool are beautiful and the sunset and sunrise are breathtaking. We enjoyed the wine and olive oil produced on the property and the hospitality from Giampaolo. The kitchen is small to prep family meals but there are several local restaurants to have dinner. We want to go back!

We had a wonderful time at Archipettoli. It is a truly unbeatable location set at the end of a track with amazing views all around. Every bit of the garden is beautiful and well thought out with plenty of places to sit and enjoy the Tuscan countryside. The pool is sparklingly clean and surrounded by lovely planting and plenty of loungers. Several spots are ideal for eating al fresco and comfortable chairs for reading in. The house itself has elegant bedrooms with nice furniture and clean generous bathrooms. The only bit of the house that was a little underwhelming was the kitchen which, due to the layout of cooker/dishwasher etc was a bit tight for more than one person to cook in, and the sitting room, which wasn’t very inviting to spend an evening in when it was too cold to sit outside. These would absolutely not stop me from visiting again! Everything else wonderful and I very much hope to go again soon.

Archipettoli is a place full of wonderful rustic charm. It is very clean and comfortable and the pool is a really good size for a group of people. Giampaolo the Villa Manager is extremely helpful and nothing is to much trouble. The views of the surrounding countryside are breathtaking especially at sunrise and sunset. The property is well located for visiting places such as Florence, Siena and San Gimignano and the local town of San Casciano has some good cafes, restaurants and shops. We can't wait to return!
