About this cottage rental
Tastefully furnished this delightful cottage offers the perfect mix of heritage charm, contemporary design and modern convenience. The property enjoys a central location just two blocks from the CBD allowing an easy stroll to shops, cafes, restaurants, country pubs, parks and attractions. Douro Cottage is a fully self-contained 2 bedroom house. Both bedrooms comprise of queen size beds with wool quilts, electric blankets and all linen is provided. The cottage is ideally suited for two couples or a family of 4, however the fold-out sofa lounge allows up to 6 people to stay. The living area is open in design and features a reverse cycle air conditioner for all seasons. The kitchen is spacious and modern with stainless steel appliances. Stroll to the local farmer's market and purchase some fresh produce. Enjoy drinking a local Mudgee red wine with friends or watch the children play in the enclosed backyard. Late check outs are available on request at no extra cost, allowing you to sleep in and enjoy the morning before packing up and heading home. All linen is provided. Please note pricing is based on 2 adults sharing 1 room. The use of the 2nd bedroom &/or sofa is an extra $50/night.

Great location. house is charming. Needed more knives and forks, kitchen towels, items for cleanup in kitchen.

It was -1 degree outside when we were there so not much opportunity to use the outdoors there this time, but good space available for kids. Inside had the older cottage home charm with the new style kitchen and bathroom, everything you need to re-charge for the next days adventures. The bed are comfy and the electric blankets were greatly appreciated.

The cottage was very comfortable and exactly as advertised. The property manager, Emma was very helpful prior to our stay. Small problem with the outside bins that were stinky and needed emptying. Some road noise if you're a light sleeper like me. But all in all, a very comfortable stay and great location. Would recommend the property

Great base to explore the Mudgee region from

The property was excellent in been tidy with everything ready for us. Kitchen had everything you would need for your stay.
Beds comfy. Plenty hot water for showers and washing up. Easy walk to CBD, restaurants ,pubs etc. Hope to return next year.

Well located to the markets and The Paragon Hotel (great meals - large). Easy walk to town centre. Well insulated from road noise. Shower nice. Kitchen has everything you need. Emma (host) was very responsive. Small things: I Couldn’t work out the radio. Beds a little too hard.

The only issue was Stayz gave us a 3 didgit code when the lockbox required a 4 digit code. An email to the owner on arrival was promptly answered allowing us to enter the property.

We loved staying here as we can park the car and walk to town. Lots of things to see. Book a bus trip to the wineries - lots of fun too! Thanks Emma for your hospitality.

Nice cottage close to town
Comfy beds and well equipped accommodation.
Would be good to have wifi and better access to off street parking. Also fly screens on the doors so they can be open for ventilation and avoid use of aircon.

Great Little Cottage
We booked Douro Cottage for our family of 5 for the Flavours of Mudgee, and it was great! The cottage is well equipped and large enough for us all. Easy walk into town for dinner or a quick coffee, or the skate park which keep the kids entertained for hours! Look forward to returning in the near future....Thanks Emma

Fabulous Stay
We were only in Mudgee for 1 night passing through and Duoro Cottage was the perfect stop over. It was well equipped and close to town.

Well appointed, enjoyable cottage. Would be better if the front bedroom had double glazing due to being on a highway. Then it would be perfect.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very cosy cottage and everything is there that is needed for a weekend stay. Location close to everything so we walked to restaurants etc.
