Within 45 minutes: Ft Myers beach and Sanibel Island. (If you're boating, it's 10 minutes to the river, and about 90 minutes to Sanibel and Ft Myers Beach). Ft Myers airport (RSW) is about a 35 minute drive, Ft Lauderdale and Tampa are about 2 hours and 15 minutes, and Orlando is about 3 hours.
