Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac just one house back from the beautiful mangroves of the Barwon River estuary, this modest French inspired cottage has recently been renovated keeping all of the original charm but integrating it with modern and luxurious style. The kitchen and bathrooms have recently been renovated and are bright, airy and include modern appliances. The living, dining and 4th bedroom overlook a massive outdoor BBQ and entertaining area. All bedrooms are spacious and include built-in robes. Two of the 4 bedrooms have en-suites and the main bathroom, which includes a bath, services the other two bedrooms. The house features split system air conditioning as well as hydronic-heating throughout. A double lock-up garage ensures vehicles can be stored securely. The house is situated on a large 1000 square metre block with a beautiful fully-fenced cottage-style garden for you to relax in. There is ample room and plenty of shade for your family pets. The outdoor entertaining area is a feature of this property and the massive decked area features both open and undercover areas - perfect for a quiet and relaxing get-away. Enjoy walks with the dogs along the Barwon estuary boardwalks or take a short drive to the designated dog beach just past the 13th beach lifesaving club. There are activities a-plenty in Barwon Heads as well as a thriving cafe and retail strip on Hitchcock Avenue - which is also within walking distance. The property has such a wonderful welcoming feel about it. Plenty of space both inside and out. Great backyard for enjoying a warm evening and it was perfect for our dog. Tim was a fabulous host and responded to a couple of queries straight away. Couldn’t recommend the property any higher, we had a wonderful week in a beautiful community.

We had a great stay. The house has good sized bedrooms, a really nice entertaining space/kitchen and a nice deck that catches the afternoon sun. Our whole family really enjoyed the space and loved hitting up different nearby beaches each day. Would definitely visit again.

The property had everything as listed plus so many little extras. Heaps of room for all of us. From check in to check out the communication was excellent. Great yard for the fur babies. 5 star Barwon Heads Christmas.

We absolutely loved our stay here! There was plenty of room for our two families and the location was a nice walk in either direction to the river. The adults appreciated the quality of the kitchen appliances, supplied utensils, pantry basics (such as oil and sauce) pillows, excellent heating and the large deck to enjoy the patches of sunshine we got. The kids enjoyed the enclosed yard and the table tennis table! We are looking forward to booking again and bringing our dogs next time.

We recently stayed at this beautiful home for a family wedding. So incredibly functional, we were 5 adults and a baby. We were never on top of each other, all family units had their own toilet and shower facilities. The bedrooms are huge. It was much better than the photos could depict which is surprising because it’s often the other way around! We will be back to stay again and again.

My family and I stayed for 2 nights to celebrate a milestone birthday. A wonderful playground was within walking distance and it was about a 30 minute walk to the ice cream shop with small children. The amenities and appliances were first class and the owners were readily contactable when we needed them on a couple of occasions. Would definitely stay here again. Thank you Tim and Georgia.

We really enjoyed our stay in this property. It was very roomy and had everything we needed. We marked it down on location because it was a 22 min walk into the middle of Barwon Heads to get to the cafe, which was a bit far on a wet weather day. The only other criticism we had was that the building was cold and we had a lot of trouble with the hydronic heating and the air conditioning. Neither seemed to work 100%, and so it was a bit chilly. But other than that we really enjoyed staying here and would stay again.

This house is not one to be overlooked. The photos definitely do not do it justice but it is a perfect getaway home for friends and family and the space is great. The house renovations give it a nice modern touch but still sustains the honey cottage style too. Definitely recommend booking this house and Tim is a great host! DON’T THINK TWICE!

I can’t fault anything about our stay at this property. From the moment you open the door and walk down the hallway you feel at home and relaxed. The house was extremely clean and the owners were easy to contact when we needed to. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in Barwon Heads.

Gorgeous renovated cottage with large garage and garden, perfect for groups and dogs! Owner responded promptly and helpfully to questions. I’d suggest a coffee machine or plunger and maybe some soap/body wash in the bathroom which I think is reasonable given the rates. Overall, highly recommended
