Located in Chesapeake Bay, this charming standard cabin for $311 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. There are special events that take place in our area thru the year, that are close to our property. If we can help answer any questions about events please ask!! Now about our Cabin Getaway: There is WIFI in the cabin. So you can keep in touch with family or work while you are on vacation in our relaxing cabin!! Also have made a driveway up to the cabin for easier access. Must be 21 years old to rent this cabin and show a valid drivers license if asked by the owners. We are 2 minutes away from Historical Yorktown and close to much more.We're minutes away from the beautiful Colonial Parkway going to Historic Williamsburg,13 miles from Busch Gardens Amusement Park, Water Country Water Park,close to Historic Jamestown, Williamsburg Pottery Factory, 11 miles from an Airport, Great Golf Courses all around, 1 hour from Virginia Beach, Great Fishing,1 mile to Boat Ramp and launch, Historic Guided Tours, Living History Tours, Wine Tasting Tours, Festivals on the beach, July 4th Fireworks and Celebrations, Market days at Yorktown, Great shopping, Restaurants,Seafood Festivals, Daffodil Festival, and concerts. So much to do for every taste and so close to it all. Our 1 bedroom Hilltop Hideaway on the York River is the perfect place for a Romantic Weekend or a great place to stay for the week and be so close to many FUN THINGS to do. So bringing the kids would be great too. There is Historical Yorktown just 2 minutes away, Colonial Williamsburg and all its glory, Jamestown, Busch Gardens Amusement Park just 13 miles away and Water Country USA Park 11 miles. There is great shopping, with the Williamsburg Pottery factory 18 miles away, several Malls, and my favorite, Walmart. Restaurants, Wine Tasting Tours, Historical Guided Tours, Great Golf Courses, Virginia Beach only an hour away, Seafood and Daffodil Festivals, Concerts on the Yorktown Beach all summer, 4th of July Fireworks on the York River that can be enjoyed from the beach. There is room to park a trailer for whatever you bring. So much to do that a informational booklet will be supplied inside. AS OF 4/1/2019, New living room furniture. Replaced the sleeper sofa with a new recliner sofa and added a rocker recliner as well. Have a very comfortable memory foam cot for an extra guests, along with the couch.The sleeper sofa needed to go. This furniture is so much more comfy!! The cabin was renovated in 2010, with vinyl siding, windows, french doors leading out to screened porch, king size bed, stone fireplace, with electric logs, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, coffee maker, and blender. The outside is a continual work in progress by us, weather permitting.But the cabin is cozy with a beautiful stone electric fireplace,that can be used year round for ambience.. Exposed log beams in the tall a-frame ceiling. Front porch looking right out to the beautiful sunsets over the York River and even a closer view from the outside deck.Your own beach down below the deck, just a few steps away to enjoy, with a view across the river to Yorktown Beach. ***SWIMMING IN THE RIVER IS AT YOUR OWN RISK!***We also suggest swim shoes, because the York River is a Tidal River!! There are lots of fishing boats and jet skiers to watch going by and occasionally navy ships to see go thru the bridge. And the most beautiful Virginia sunsets you will ever see right out your front door !!! You will need to supply all food and beverages for your stay. There is a Food Lion grocery store approx. 2 miles from the cabin. Please bring your own beach towels also. SINCE THERE IS NO LAND LINE PHONE IN THE CABIN, A CELL PHONE IS A MUST, FOR EMERGENCIES, OR TO CONTACT US DURING YOUR STAY FOR ANY PROBLEMS OR QUESTIONS. Fishing license not needed on property, with registration # that can be done over the phone.We will supply the telephone number for your convienence. Again SWIMMING IS AT YOUR OWN RISK and we suggest, for safety reasons, that everyone please bring water shoes, if you plan to go in the water. It is a tidal river, so things/objects are always washing in and out.

I enjoyed my stay so much. It was exactly as advertised and the owners were great. The views and sunsets were amazing. Even though a storm came thru one of the days I was there I still found it peaceful. A great get away at a cute little waterfront home!!!

My family and I enjoyed this property so much we will definitely be returning in warmer weather to take full advantage of the beautiful outdoor surroundings. We loved the Christmas and winter decorations that made it feel like a home away from home. It was the perfect cozy cabin get away for our family adventures in Colonial Williamsburg and Busch Gardens.

We had the best time at this lovely cabin!!! Communication was amazing and the view was amazing!!! The location is great if you are looking to visit historic Yorktown/williamsburg. Our pup loved running on the private beach. Definitely can’t wait to come back

Cute cabin style cottage! Screened in porch and 2 level deck to sit a take in the tranquil view! Comfy King bed and the kiddo loved the fold out cot! Ample hot water, I am fan of that! Great breakfast diners nearby and yummy Italian for dinner take out! Soft and comfy couch and lots comfy chairs. I would definitely stay here the next time I'm in the area!
There are stairs up to the house so keep that in mind if that's an issue for you

We absolutely loved this charming cottage and can’t wait to return! It was perfect in so many ways. We really enjoyed the screened in porch with spectacular views and beautiful sunsets. The location is ideal and close to Yorktown and Williamsburg. A great option too for those that travel, like us, with their furbabies. The host Sheila was a pleasure. We look forward to visiting again!

We loved our stay in this adorable cottage. The house is bigger than it appears and was perfect for the two of us. The outdoor space was so relaxing and even though it was rainy the first day, we enjoyed watching the water and pelicans. Close to Williamsburg but far enough away to be away from the traffic. We just wish we had stayed longer.

We thoroughly enjoyed our time at the cabin. Sheila is a wonderful host and met us when we arrived. This is a perfect place to come relax ,enjoy the quiet, and the awesome sunsets with a beverage on the deck. The cabin comes equipped with everything you could need, including beach chairs we used when we visited Virginia Beach. Close to all the historical places, great restaurants ,and not too far a drive from Norfolk and Virginia Beach. We highly recommend the river tour out of Yorktown beach, one of the highlights of our week. We would definitely book again.

This is a lovely cabin with a great history. I really enjoyed meeting the owners.
I love cabins with stone fireplaces and this one is great. Everything about the cabin has so much character. The deck, screened in porch, fenced run for dogs were all, especially, nice.
The VIEW and sunsets were so breathtaking and serene.
To top this off, I got to spend time with family and make great memories.
Thanks so much for all the provisions and all the added extras that you provide to make your guests comfortable.

We enjoyed our stay at this Cozy Cabin by the river. It was just the right size for my husband and I. Sheila, the property owner couldn't be more responsive, accommodating, and friendly. The furnishings inside the cabin are clean and comfortable. Outside, the view of the river is top notch and the property owners have made it easy to sit outside and enjoy the view and the wildlife. We loved beginning our day with breakfast outside and ending it with a cool beverage, a friendly game of cards, and taking in the spectacular sunset on the perfectly situated deck. The property is located in a quiet, tranquil environment and is the perfect spot if you want a break from the usual hustle and bustle of modern day living. We won't hesitate to book this property again the next time we plan to visit the area. Thank you Sheila!

The Cozy Cabin was exactly as described yet it still exceeded anything I could have hoped for. The atmosphere in the cabin as well as the tranquility outside with the amazing view and beautiful sunsets left us in awe. My senior dog also had more pep in her step while there and it was evident she had peace as well as fun. It was an honor and privilege to meet Sheila and Larry who are two of the nicest and friendliest people I've met. It felt like coming home instead of being a stranger.
Anyone thinking of staying at the Cozy Cabin, my advice is do it!! My only regret is I didn't book a longer stay. Definitely looking forward to returning!

Our stay at Shelia and Larry's cabin was perfect for our visit to the area. We were able to help my daughter settle into her apartment in Williamsburg and enjoy the riverfront amenities of the cabin. I love how the steps, boardwalks, decks and the sunroom all flow together to create an inviting outdoor space. The cabin was very comfortable and has everything one would need to have a relaxing stay.

The cabin is so sweet and comfortable. The River access was especially nice! We watched a juvenile dolphin our first day on the River’s protected beach. I watched a bald eagle circle in and out of a nest in the neighbors pines. After a heavy rain, the frog singing in a hidden pond across the driveway. Truly comfortable and convenient.

We visited from Upstate New York for some warmer weather and to see the sites in the historic triangle. I cannot say enough good things about this rental. The hosts were outstanding, the cabin was cozy and a great place to relax in the evenings with some outstanding sunsets, and the best part was the fact we could bring our lab with us. Our dog thoroughly enjoyed the water (still a little cold for us), walking through the neighborhood was great as it was nice and quiet, and it was an easy drive to all of the historic areas. We hope to be back in the future.
