About this house rental
**Sunday to Sunday Rental** New for 2022: New plush mattresses; new vinyl flooring on second level; new paint inside and out; new leather couches; upgraded WIfi; new spa cover; new charter cable TV. Nestled in the heart of Corolla in the Villas at Corolla Bay community, sits this luxury home. This is a traditional 3 story beach home beautifully decorated, and fully equipped and it is ready to be your home away from home! This is a quaint neighborhood, with streetlights and wide sidewalks providing a safe place to walk, run or bike during day or night. Friends and family can enjoy the large community sports area including horseshoes, basketball, shuffleboard, volleyball and more. The community pool (complete with restrooms) is just 100' away and can be seen from the great room. (Pool is open May 15 - September 30). We're only minutes from the beach via designated pathway (life guard stand located at access entrance) and close to a a large variety of local restaurants & shops as well as historical sites and many outdoor attractions/activities. First floor: Private Queen Bedroom and full bath, a bright family room with DVD player, SmartTV with Charter Spectrum, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, XBOX ONE, more than 30 Xbox games, board games, puzzles, and books! Two exterior doors open to a very large gated patio area with outdoor shower, full-sized dining table for 6, 2 loungers and 2 other high back chairs and a side table PLUS 6 person hot tub (open May 15 - September 30), and large propane grill. Middle floor: King Master Bedroom with DVD player, TV with Charter Spectrum, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, large bathroom, double sink, and large shower; 2nd King bedroom; Bedroom with 2 bunk sets. The latter 2 bedrooms share a full bath with double vanity and tub/shower. Hallway door opens to covered porch with "hanging" chairs for kicking back and enjoying that first cup of coffee. Laundry room with extra large capacity washer and dryer conveniently located on this floor. Top (third) floor is a spacious open floor plan with a fully appointed, light and airy, family room (including fireplace) with a 46" HDTV, Blu-ray player (more than 400 movies), Charter Spectrum TV, Netflix, Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. A sliding glass door leads to open air deck with Adirondack chairs. Fully outfitted high end kitchen with granite counters and stainless steel appliances, breakfast bar and dining table. Convenient half bath. Post photos, stay in touch with family and friends (or work if you must!) with high speed internet access throughout the house via two different network connections (one for you and 1 for your kids!). Sound and Sea Escape is family friendly and includes a pack and play, high chair, and baby gate. Beach equipment includes 10 beach chairs, several large umbrellas, 2 beach carts, 8 beach cruiser bikes plus a pull along child bike, tons of sand toys, ladder ball, corn hole plus much more available for your enjoyment. All beds have bed linens, quilts/comforters, and pillows. No bath or beach towels. One roll of TP and container of hand soap for each bathroom and one roll of paper towels in the kitchen are also provided. NOTE FOR GROUPS OF MORE THAN TEN: If your group is more than ten, feel free to ask us about other houses in the neighborhood to rent in tandem. You can rent two or more villas for less than many other single houses in Corolla!

Beautiful house inside and out! Beautiful floors! Great location and just a short walk to the beach! Close to the 4x4 beach and the wild horses! Great communication with renter and they added a lot of information about the house and area and was helpful with any questions and checked to make sure our stay was going great! Would definitely recommend and hopefully will be booking again in the future!!!

Our visit consisted of our growing family, my children and their budding families. Owner provided almost everything we could need regardless of age. Crib, baby gate, toys, games, ton of bikes and even a few beach wagons. The property itself is much roomier and convenient than the pictures suggest. Pool is super easy for a quick dip, just across the street and a sidewalk leads you right there. Beach access boardwalk is at the end of the street a then a couple of blocks from there. The place is clean and new beds are super comfortable, best sleep I've had in a long time!!
Every rental can have an occasional hiccup, it's just part of the equation when you rent an entire home. Our only hiccup was at check-in when the digital keypad stopped working. My daughter and her 2 babies were the first to arrive and they needed to get the kids out of the car quickly and into a place to change a diaper and nurse. When we called the owner, he had an alternative way into the house in a matter of minutes. He truly cared about his guests and their comfort. Attempts to revive the lock were unsuccessful during the week, but with the garage remote our vacation never skipped a beat. He did reach out a few times just to make sure that everything was fine during our stay. Great owner and a great vacation. Highly recommend

Lovely property with a full kitchen, beach supplies (toys, bikes, chairs and even a wagon). We stayed here with my wife, 2 kids and parents and were very happy. A few of the appliances could have been cleaner and in better condition, but overall everything worked just fine.

We had an amazing time. House had everything we needed, and more! We walked to the beach everyday, just 2 short blocks. Can't wait for next year!

Great place everything we needed was there except for towels. That would be the only negative thing I have to say. Enjoyed using the bikes, the beach chairs and the hot tub.
All and all it was a great vacation spot.

The house was very clean upon arrival and the homeowner checked in with us via text on arrival day. The house is in a great location and is an easy walk to the beach and close to shopping/dining. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home. There was plenty of beach gear to use so I’m glad we didn’t bring any. The homeowners have the house stocked with movies, games, and books as well as streaming services. The layout worked great for our family of six, but we could see being comfortable with a larger group too. The community pool was not open, but is very close and the kids enjoyed the neighborhood playground. Overall an excellent stay! We would come back in the future.

The picture of the house is very accurate. In fact, I thought the rooms inside the house were nicer and the house was more spacious they the pictures lead you to believe. The beds were new and very comfortable. I would highly recommend this house; it was a perfect location and exactly what we hoped for. The beach equipment was a fantastic bonus.

Close to beach with pool and private hot tub. Owner was very responsive to any inquiries. Property outfitted with accommodations for our toddler. Very clean property.
Located north of Duck in a quieter area of OBX but close enough to shops, restaurants, food stores by a short drive.
Our third visit to this community. This property was certainly this best so far.

Fun Beach Week!
We had a very enjoyable week! House was clean, had a well stocked kitchen, including a large pantry for storage. Mattresses were comfortable and it was great that the beds were made when we arrived. We really enjoyed the outside area including the hot tub, grill, picnic table, and corn hole. Beach chairs and umbrellas were nice to have on hand. The walk to the beach was over a quarter of a mile, so be ready to walk and carry the heavy beach chairs. There are a lot of stairs to get to the main public areas in the house, including the kitchen, so be ready to climb! Owner was very responsive and checked in to make sure all was ok. Thanks for a great week!

We had a wonderful stay at this property! The house was clean and in a great location. The hosts were very responsive and even agreed to open the hot tub up one week early for us. 10/10 would recommend.

We love this area of Whalehead Beach in Corolla. This is the second time we've stayed in this neighborhood and the homes are nice, it's relatively quiet, and not over-crowded. There is plenty of room for our family of five and we could have easily had another four or five people stay at the property. There are plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, entertainment options (movies and games), and the hot tub is nice too. It's an easy 10 min walk to the beach which is even easier with the complimentary beach cart. The chairs were nice as well.
With regard to communication, Ed was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions...he made the entire stay painless and very easy. I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it back to Corolla this summer (2022) but we will definitely be back in touch when we do return.

We love this area of Whalehead Beach in Corolla. This is the second time we've stayed in this neighborhood and the homes are nice, it's relatively quiet, and not over-crowded. There is plenty of room for our family of five and we could have easily had another four or five people stay at the property. There are plenty of bedrooms, bathrooms, entertainment options (movies and games), and the hot tub is nice too. It's an easy 10 min walk to the beach which is even easier with the complimentary beach cart. The chairs were nice as well.
With regard to communication, Ed was easy to get a hold of and quick to respond to questions...he made the entire stay painless and very easy. I'm not sure if we'll be able to make it back to Corolla this summer (2022) but we will definitely be back in touch when we do return.

We appreciated the well maintained community property (and pool.) We would have liked to be closer to the beach (a 5 minute walk, but a safe, low traffic journey), but we cannot complain due to the value we got with this location. 2 comments for improvement: 1. The beds were not comfortable...though I see in other comments the property owner/manager is replacing in this coming off season. 2. The patio area (including picnic table, outside stool sitting area and gate) seemed to be covered in cobwebs. Not sure if this is because of the bush in the yard or simply the ‘nature of north Carolina’, but this made it difficult to hang things out to dry.

Nice size house with nice clean hot tub. Has a community pool. Short walking/ bike ride to the beach. They have bikes and other stuff for you to use. Very nice home. Had a blast.

This is a great house for two families. It is about 3 streets back from the public beach access point. The house has clean and had extras such as bikes, corn hole and beach chairs. The only drawback was that the chairs were the heavy wooden ones that could not be carried without the wagon. I recommend bringing your own chairs., The wagon got really heavy with multiple wooden chairs, especially when going up the sand dune. The listing also boasts boogie boards and skim boards.
