About this house rental
Nestled in Mountain Village, this charming house for $2,105 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Renovated in winter of 2019, this expansive home has excellent slope access, two master suites, amazing views, hot tub, pool table, games, 100+ DVDs, and so much more that will make you feel right at home. It is the perfect escape for a large family or a group of friends wanting a fun-filled ski holiday. Secluded and luxurious, this beautiful mountain home situated on over an acre of aspen and pine, has incredible views of the surrounding mountains, evoking a ski lodge feel. The large home is two miles from the Mountain Village core, where guests will find shopping and dining. The Dial-a-Ride service offers free transportation around the area and you can also ride the free gondola that runs from the town of Mountain Village to the town of Telluride. Just a few homes off the slopes, we recently made the 200 step walk from Lower Galloping Goose to our driveway this summer in 90 seconds (in gym shoes and not ski/snowboarding gear). On snow days you can ski down the berm to the run. Excellent ski access for Mountain Village! The lower (ground) level showcases a huge family room with sectional sofa, a pool table, and a smart TV with cable. There is a DVD/BluRay library of over 100+ movies, 200+ children/adult books, and all the board games that you love. The laundry room is nearby and has plenty of room for ski gear storage. Head up a flight of stairs and you will find the great room that is absolutely perfect for a group of 2 or a group of 18! An open floor plan that features the great room, dining area and kitchen all in one space so you can gather with your family and friends. All new furniture with a sectional couch and sitting chairs to enjoy the fireplace and 60" smartTV. Lodgepole pine beams grace the ceilings and walls and San Miguel River Rock dominates one wall, making this home truly feel like a mountain cabin. The vaulted ceilings and hardwood floors continue into the open dining room, which has seating for 10 with a fantastic view out the windows and countertop seating for another 4 people. The open and airy kitchen features wooden cabinetry, stainless steel appliances (including two ovens) a griddle, grill, and granite countertops. A back patio features a Weber gas grill and a small picnic table for those wonderful summer meals. The front deck near the great room has multiple spots to enjoy the amazing views along with an inviting hot tub to enjoy during all seasons! There are two master-style suites with king beds and en-suite bathrooms, two bedrooms with queens, another room with a new full-over-full bunk bed and a bunk room upstairs with a full/full and twin/twin with en-suite bathroom. We also have two pack n plays, high chair, as well as baby and children's toys for groups who are bringing their young ones to enjoy Telluride! Pets are considered! A pet fee will be applied for the extra cleaning - please ask for more information while booking. Situated at the base of Telluride Ski Resort, Mountain Village is a skier mecca with easy access to some of the best runs in the country. It is not just about skiing here, however. Guests can ice skate or enjoy the firepit in the middle of the Plaza. During the summer, the town sees an influx of hikers and bikers due to the wonderful San Juan Mountains. This is also a fabulous rental for guests coming to some of Telluride's great festivals, including Telluride Mountain Film, Telluride Film Festival, Telluride Bluegrass Festival, and Telluride Blues & Brews. It s a true year-round recreation destination. Mountain bikes are waiting for your use in our garage! Please note that while we do our best to regularly maintain our bikes, they do break down at times and we rely on guests to let us know if there are any issues that need to be fixed. Because of this, we cannot guarantee the condition of every single bike upon your arrival. We ask that if you are looking to do some hardcore mountain or planning your trip around the trails that you bring or rent your own bike for your stay with us! Safety is always our main concern, so please make sure to check the bikes before heading downhill and we recommend bringing/wearing your own helmet so that you are safe and comfortable. If any issues do arise with a certain bike, please set that bike to the side and contact us. We will then do our best to get it fixed with one of the local shops. This house was perfect! Our group of 14 had plenty of space during our stay. House was fully stocked with everything we needed. We did a "Fridge Fill" order prior to arriving which I highly recommend. Just a short walk to the slopes. The dial-a-ride was outstanding, never waited more that 10 mins for a ride. Communication with the host was great! Highly recommend!

We had a great time at the house. It’s located high-up in Mountain Village and you can walk down the road a bit to ski out instead of going to the gondola, so that was a plus. House had lots of space for a big group. We had a little trouble with the driveway and ice/snow with our rental SUVs, but the management company was responsive and sent people out to clear it.

Overall, the home was as described. The two queen mattresses and master king mattress were less than comfortable. After bringing this to the property manager's attention they were very responsive and did bring memory foam mattress pads that helped. For a home at this price point, at least the Master bedroom should have a high-end mattress. The upholstery and carpeting needed cleaning. The home has had a lot of use and could benefit from some extra TLC. But nonetheless, we had a lovely stay in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. Loved the hot tub!

We had a great stay at this property. The house was spacious and very comfortable. We had a couple minor maintenance issues, but the owner was very responsive and repairs were made. We would definitely stay there again!

This lovely cabin was big, clean, and comfortable! The kitchen is open to the living room so you can cook and still be with family. They have humidifiers in each from, fans in each room, great towels etc etc! I would highly recommend this beautiful home.

The property was just right for the 12 of us. Facility was laid out so that everyone had their own section. We were not at the house much during the day but the kids enjoyed the game room at night. Bikes were also used. Good time.

An AMAZING time and WONDERFUL hosts!
We had a wonderful time at this property. The owners were kind, responsive, and accommodated a very odd and last minute request which we appreciated more than we could ever express. The home is spacious, clean, well built, and in a great location. Dial-a-Ride made it easy to move our large group around Mountain Village. The management team was amazing and responded to all our questions immediately. The hot tub was perfectly hot and maintained well. We used the kitchen multiple times a day every day. The views were beautiful. We could not have had a better stay for our group of 15 ranging from ages 8 to 52!

Amazing!!!!
As a fellow rental property owner, our experience with this property and trip met all of our relatively high expectations. First off, the house was absolutely perfect for a 4-family group with teens for our annual ski trip. (side note: If you've never been to Telluride - well worth the additional travel, an idyllic town and setting, we may be looking to buy!!!) The home was exactly as described, very comfortable, with excellent amenities. Although we decided to rent a single vehicle for our group as a precaution, the free transportation around Mountain Village and into Telluride makes a vehicle unnecessary. While not ski-in/ski-out, the close proximity to access a green trail was super convenient and our entire group (beginner to expert) had no issue making the short walk in full gear. Communication from the property owner/s both prior to, and during, our trip was impeccable with prompt and informative responses. Highly recommend and we look forward to a return trip. Thanks so much!!!

We had a group of 14 and the home was well supplied for a large group. Clean and plenty of seating. Our favorite was the large great room that we all count fit in. Many homes are large but never enough seating and supplies. This home had it all. We will be coming back. Mountain Village is always a great location

Ultimate Family Accommodation
The Rocky Road house is perfect for any family fun get away. It was even more than our expectations for those 3yrs to 90 yrs old, and everyone in-between! Communication was a breeze and location is prime. Our only issue was leaving. Everyone wanted to stay another night, and couldn't stop taking pictures!
Bonuses were the buckets of toys and books for the little ones, vintage books for the older ones, heated floors, ample space to sleep the 16 of us, plenty of fridge space, plenty of parking, backyard picnic table, cozy living rooms, and over all ambiance!
