About this house rental
Located in Mattituck, this lovely house for $544 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Idyllic, secluded setting for a quiet getaway from the City. Main house (1500 sf) has two bedrooms with king & queen size beds, kitchen, two full, completely renovated bathrooms. Den has pullout couch with queen mattress. Pool cottage (1500 sf) includes kitchenette, recreation room, screened patio, full bath, large tv room and area to spread out. The house has central air; the cottage has window air conditioning. New gas grill, beautiful new pool and "cool to touch" stone deck for private sunning. Wooded lots on three sides, with 6 foot fence around the entire back yard. Bocci Court, Ping Pong table and inside games for rainy days and quiet evenings. Large screen TVs with access to your Netflix, Hulu, etc. accounts - TV in the den has most cable channels. Kitchen stocked with plates, glasses, flatware, pots and pans, etc. Bath and pool towels, sheets, etc. all provided. Perfect for family or three couples. Three minute walk to private beach in one direction. Five minute walk to a full service marina in the other direction. 90 minutes from Manhattan, but a world away from the hustle and bustle. Perfect spot to relax, spend time with family and friends and enjoy life the way it was meant to be. Enjoy the dozens of North Fork wineries within an easy drive. Minimum two-week stay required by the Southold Township.

Although only 90 minutes from the city, Shawn and Colleen's home felt like an oasis many miles away. Our family ranges in age from 4 to 75 and we were able to hang out together comfortably to bbq or watch a movie, or spread out for a bit of quiet time (or a nap). The pool was also a life saver during a late summer heat wave. We can't wait to return next year!

We had an awesome time at the property. Beautiful pool in the backyard and very close to a private beach. Also easy to walk into town (~15 minutes). Would love to go back next time we are in the North Fork!

Lovely change of scenario
Me and wife needed to get out of the city. We took our laptops and flip flops to work and play on the north fork. Great markets for food to cook, restaurants, beaches, horseback riding in montauk, and an awesome house to chillax.
Will come back again with friends to stay in the separate mother in law suite over the old garage.

Really Nice Vacation Spot!
Very nice house, spacious, great kitchen, seconds from the water. This was a great base to bike around the North Fork and to explore the beaches and parks. The North Fork is a beautiful area, and this was a great way to stay there!

Fantastic family getaway
We had a terrific time at Shawn’s and Collen’s lovely home. We all enjoyed the gorgeous outdoor area with pool and grill, enjoying the fresh air. Nice beach. The kitchen and house in general were well equipped. Excellent location close to groceries/supermarket. But above all, fantastic hosts, always available. Everything was Perfect. We look forward to coming back!

However, the bocce court and ping pong were alot of fun! The kitchen was well stocked for cooking along with the outdoor grill. The home itself is spacious and beautifully decorated. The location is great. Just a quick walk to the private beach and short drive to several public beaches. Mattituck, itself, has nice restaurants, grocery stores, CVS and other conveniences. Be sure to check out Mattitaco and Magic Fountain for homemade ice cream. We would definitely stay here again and hope to very soon.

My family truly enjoyed our stay in this home. It had everything needed for comfort and entertainment. It is May, so we were unable to use the pool. In the garden a second cottage is a spacious two level facility with a well appointed and comfortable upstairs area that made for another spot to relax or work. The property is also set at a distance from any neighbors and on a very quiet road with a two minute walk to the beach.The host was very responsive throughout our stay, was flexible and helpful, and was able to rapidly and easily get back with answers to any questions and queries. He was a pleasure to deal with. While we were not staying during pool season, the swimming area was very open and nice, and the BBQ and outdoor areas clean, tidy and easily accessible from the house. The backyard itself is also spacious and able to be seen from the patio and many of the house windows which is important if staying with kids. Overall, we would happily return and stay here again, and have had a great time in North Fork. Mattituck is central and able to access all the local towns, bush walks and beaches with only a short drive. Would highly recommend this property!

Great Getaway with Friends
A small group of us rented this property for a weekend of wine tasting in the area so this property was an ideal location. It also had a lot of space to hang out in which made our stay more enjoyable and relaxed. The property overall was well-kept and tidy. If we ever visit this area again, we will hopefully be able to book this place!

Good stay but a little warm
The property was convenient to the wineries and stores with sufficient room for dining and relaxing. My deposit was returned promptly.
My only criticism would be the adequacy to the air conditioning. The property was described as air conditioned but the kitchen, dining and living room were not air conditioned. Only the den and bedrooms were air conditioned and the unit in one bedroom was broken. We only found out about the broken unit a few days before our visit were not able to make other arrangements. However. Our stay was in Late September so it was not too hot just a little uncomfortable. I think that if the house is described as air conditioned then the whole house should be serviced not just some of the rooms.

This is a nice house, very close to the beach, with a great back yard. The owners are very responsive to questions. It is on a quiet street. We have two small kids and this house worked well.

Memorial Weekend 2019
We Rented this lovely home for a short holiday weekend with our teen daughter and college daughter. The pool and patio turned out to be our favorite place to relax together as a family. We did visit the private beach area, which was pretty and plenty big enough for the few who braved the windy day. The accommodations were very comfortable for our family and we enjoyed the decor which was modern and beachy. The house was equipped with everything we needed for cooking and relaxing by the pool. The local grocery was very nice and we also spent a few hours browsing the Mattituck Village shops nearby. It was a great place to stay if you like peace and quiet, like us. The owner was very responsive, informative, and accommodating.

Wonderful stay!
Our family of 4 stayed in the main house and found it even lovelier than the photos. There was more than enough space and it was suitable for both our 6 year old boy and his 89 year old grandmother. The grounds are spacious and beautiful and Love Lane is just a short walk away. The beach is a 2 or 3 minute walk with a gorgeous view of the bay. Shawn was very helpful and accessible and a most gracious host. We would highly recommend this property and hope to visit again soon!

We enjoyed a great fall weekend on the north fork here. The house is spacious and beautiful. It had everything we needed and Colleen and Shawn could not have been more gracious. Looking forward to coming back in the summer!

House was exactly what we were looking for for our relaxing weekend with friends.
Property was clean and very cute and the pictures online were exactly what we got. The owner Shawn was very nice and responsive when he needed to speak with him. The house is close to town and in a very cute neighborhood. It slept 6 of us comfortably and we really enjoyed our time there.
