Nestled in Hilo, this charming house for $265 per night is a great option for your next vacation. Three bedroom remodeled family home close to downtown Hilo. Three bedroom, two and a half bath. Open Living Area (Living Room, Dining Room and Full Kitchen.) Large backyard and plenty of parking. Great for families, close to everything. Amenities: high speed internet, wifi, washer/dryer and basic television. Very close to golf course, parks, beaches, airport and shopping. Excellent starting point for seeing the sites in the Hilo, Puna, and Volcano National Park. Daily price is for 4 guests, additional guests, (up to 6 total,) $25 a night. Maximum 30 night Stay.

This home was everything we needed for a work trip in Hilo. The rain had our project delayed, and the property managers were so helpful and communicative to try and be as flexible with us as possible to accommodate our situation when it came to extending our stay.

Great house, awesome spacious backyard with fruit trees. This house was the best stocked home we stayed in. Everything was nicely updated with everything you might need for your stay, they even had a small rice cooker. My kids loved the spacious backyard and they loved picking fruit in the mornings. The only negatives are the trash situation which you have to take your own trash to the transfer station but I guess it’s expected for the area. And you must clean up before you leave and strip all bedding and still pay a cleaning fee. But that wasn’t a big deal for me because I’m kinda a clean freak. Overall, I would highly recommend this house. It’s very spacious, it also has a covered laundry area and a covered patio. Vaughn was also quick to respond to any questions Don’t hesitate and just book it!

Entire process was pretty easy. Stay was goid. Only negative was the shower....although nice and stylish, it was a small walkin type with no doors/curtains so the entire floor outside of the shower was wet.
Other then that, stay was good.

Home is very clean & nice. Big backyard. Neighbors across street have big dogs that bark off & on. We enjoyed our stay here a lot. Mahalo.

It was conveniently located with a supermarket nearby.
We received a reminder about check-out procedure including sheets and towels which we did not see in the manual received in advance. It would have been better if it had been included in the manual sent before check-in.

Some mention road noise as an issue, but it was not too noticeable most of the time. The real noise issue in this neighborhood are the sixty or seventy dogs that live across the street and bark all evening, but it turns out, this is something you can get used to. Sometimes a rooster wanders into the unfenced backyard around 3-8am and calls loudly as well, but also not a major issue for us.
All of the check-in and check-out protocols are clearly defined and uncomplicated. No AC, of course, but even during a relatively hot stretch for Hilo, the ceiling fans kept things manageable. Would recommend against only for those highly sensitive to (dog!) noise, otherwise this is a solid rental.

Had a wonderful time. The property was centrally located close to shops/restaurants/beaches. The house was clean and spacious with a well stocked kitchen. The garden was huge and provided us with yummy bananas and oranges. There was only a minor inconvenience-no closet/dresser in one of the bedrooms

The property is exactly as shown. Vaughn responded swiftly to any concerns. The house is quite close to a major roadway resulting in some traffic noise sporadically during the day, sometimes well into the evening. But this roadway is also the main route to much of the shopping and restaurants in and around Hilo, so we were OK with the trade-off. Vaughn also offered us some fresh fruit from trees on the property, which was very kind of him. Our thanks to him for allowing us to use the property for our extended winter stay, it was a trip we will long remember.

The property was everything we could have asked for. Quite possibly the BEST stocked kitchen we've ever seen in a VRBO! We loved our stay and have added this place to our short list for our next trip to Hilo. Mahalo nui

The accommodations at Vaughn’s were perfect for us. It was conveniently located with easy access to supermarkets and local food options. We were able to travel up and down the Hilo coast to enjoy so many nature activities, marked and unmarked hiking trails, waterfalls and secluded beaches.

Property is very beautiful, house is upgraded with nice walk in showers, exception to the water splashing out of shower, gas stove is awesome.
I did send a message when I noticed that the microwave did not have a glass turntable.
I'm sure in order to keep this property well kept, guest need to follow the rules, unfortunately for me the check out reminder procedures were a little too much. I believe I left the property looking exactly how we checked in. But, Why did I have the cleaning fee? especially if I needed to take the pillow cases and linens off the bed. Emphasizing "Put back everything in it's place", Not all guests are the same. I also noticed that an additional fee was also charged for 4 adults and 2 children, is that a normal additional fee that is charged for 6 guest? Although we only had 4 adults stay, but not sure why the extra charge.
I fully understand the House Rules is put in place so the property is well taken care of, but I was feeling a bit stressed on following check out procedures. Also when stating to put all recently used dishes in the dishwasher, which I did. All others were washed and put away after each use. But to instruct to put dishes in dishwasher and run it, sorry there was no instructions on how to start and what soap or where it goes. Not all guest know how to use a dishwasher. So I hope I don't get an extra charge for this.
The yard had delicious oranges that we enjoyed eating.
Other than that, it is a beautiful property and may look into future use again, and hopefully we can spend more time there.
We came back late in the evening and left early the next day.

Quite neighborhood
My family stayed here for two weeks during our vacation and the house was very comfortable. Vaughn was super helpful, friendly and quickly to respond. Would definitely stay here again!

The property is large, clean and quiet, with fast wifi, so all we needed for our stay. There isn't anything within walking distance, so a car is a must.

Vaughn created a very easy experience from our original conversation regarding his rental property. Check in with smooth as per instructions listed as well as check out. The house has a nice modern approach to their interior upgrades. We enjoyed having the fresh fruit in the backyard and the laundry on site was a double bonus for us!

Super clean/ location
We had a great stay. The place was super clean. We had thanksgiving dinner/ and all we needed to do what provide the turkey and fixing. Well equipped kitchen.

The place was clean but noise was a problem. Also, removal of trash was not an easy task. Since we are unfamiliar with Hawaii's recycle program we needed more specific directions on how to recycle. I would rather be charged more than have to make a run to the trash place.
