About the home “The Cape Escape” is a delightful double-storey family home in Cape Woolamai, just a few steps from the swim-friendly Cape Woolamai beach and a comfortable walk short drive from the supermarket, restaurants & cafés of Cape Woolamai. Some of the many features of this lovely home are detailed below: Indoor Areas Downstairs are all four bedrooms, a bathroom (with free-standing bath & shower), a separate Toilet & a Laundry/2nd Bathroom (with washing machine & shower) accessed via the undercover entry. Upstairs is the large open plan Kitchen/Dining/Living Room (with smart TV) that leads out to the front Deck. A separate building houses the second Living Room, a Kitchenette (with microwave), and another Toilet. Outdoor Areas The upstairs semi-covered Deck (with gas BBQ & seating for 6 people), overlooks the enclosed yard which is perfect for children and pets alike and also features an outdoor shower. From the Deck there are water views over the treetops to the close by Cape Woolamai swimming beach. By default, a booking at this home does not include optional linen (top & bottom sheets, bath towels and pillowcases). What is included are doonas (quilts) with covers, pillows without covers, tea towels, hand towels and bathmats. If you would like the optional linen included in your booking, please let us know, including which beds you would like it provided for. The additional cost would be a one-off charge of $30 per bed (some sites add a service fee to these costs) - and we prefer 7 days' notice prior to your arrival to get that arranged. Peak Periods Please note that during the peak summer period and other peak times, check in times are set as 3pm (unless by prior arrangement). Please also note that if you avail of the optional linen hire over these times, it may involve linen being left out but beds not being made up. This is an old beach house in a fantastic location 50 metres to the beach. Newly renovated bathroom (only one bathroom) and kitchen. Great views. In need of a little TLC.

The Cape Escape could be a really spectacular stay if some attention to small details was paid. The house itself is comfortable enough however, having paid a linen surcharge I would've liked some quality bedding and towels. Everything was a bit cheap. The doonas were thin and I couldn't find any extra blankets and there wasn't enough pillows on the queen beds (2 per adult would be perfect). With 7 people staying, an extra bathmat and hand towel wouldn't have gone astray. The bath towels looked a bit grubby, like they could do with a good soak. The upstairs windows could do with a good clean too! There is another building at the front of the house that would serve as a great rumpus room if it was decked out with a tv and some board games - could be a top spot for the kids to hang out but it's sort of wasted as is.
