Situated in Indian Lake, this charming house for $457 per night is a fantastic option for your next vacation. Located on one the most beautiful islands of Indian Lake, this property is a perfect vacation spot for those wanting to relax and enjoy an escape from the everyday. This lakefront home is perfectly situated on the northwest corner of Seminole Island, providing an excellent open water view of the lake. During the day, guests will be able to enjoy a fun and relaxing swimming and fishing experience as the home is located away from heavy boat traffic. In the evenings, spectacular sunsets can be enjoyed from the property's shoreline. After the sunset, possible activities include relaxing around the firepit, eating toasted marshmallows, and gazing at the stars! Recently updated with complete bathroom and kitchen remodel (completed March 2024), along with new exterior finish and interior flooring (completed March 2024), this home includes a dramatic lake room with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking Indian Lake, as well as a complete kitchen. Sleeping accommodations consist of 3 bedrooms and a sleeper sofa, plus 1 1/2 baths. This home can accommodate 8 guests. Indian Lake is located about 1 hour 30 minutes from Dayton, Ohio and 1 hour from Columbus, Ohio.

Would have liked outdoor lights entrance and back. Kerrig pot doesn't work also.

I don’t even know where to start. The house was very clean, beds were comfortable, lots of outdoor seating and amazing views. We spent the entire weekend swimming, jet skiing, boating and grilling out. Thank you Mark, Gus and Archer for being great hosts.

Wonderful experience at Virgil's Cabin. The cottage is right on the lake with its own boat dock and concrete sitting area. It was clean, convenient, and reasonably priced and located in a quiet and peaceful location on Seminole Island. Look forward to coming back here in the future.

Our stay at Virgil’s cottage was lovely. The cottage was very clean and as described. It has a perfect Grandpa’s family lake house feel.
We were able to dock our boat at the open slip.
When we arrived we met one of the owners,Kirk and some of the family at the family house next door.
The view and sunsets were lovely. Very relaxing to sit on the patio and read while the kids played in the water. We brought our own paddle boards and the kids enjoyed the calm water around the cottage.
We would definitely stay again.

Great location, clean, neat and comfortable. Had everything we needed and expected. Would have easily worked well for 2 couples, but would have to share shower. Walkable neighborhood and to Cranberry Resort, easy drives elsewhere. Not sure if swimming off the dock is ever great, but nice to have the option, and would work well for kayaks. Overall very happy and relaxing weekend.

Virgil’s Cottage on Seminole Island was just the perfect place for our May Getaway. Right on the lake, gorgeous sunsets and a beautiful view. The Saugeye catch was an added bonus. We really enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere and all of the amenities. The hosts are very responsive and we met one of them in person right before checkout to chat a bit.

We had such a great time at this property. The location cannot be beat and having a dock right out the back door was a huge plus. The house gave us the cabin vibe we were looking for. Rooms are a little small but were more than adequate for the 7 of us. Kirk was amazing helping us find all the restaurants and navigating the lake. Great Owners! We appreciated having Mark & Kirk right next door. Wish we could have stayed longer than the weekend.

The house was easy to get to & had easy access to the lake. The sunsets were pretty & love all the flowers in pots. We used to own a condo not far from this home. It was great that we could rent it & be familiar with all the stores, restaurants, boat storage etc. Mark & Kirk were very accommodating. We are so grateful that our dogs could come too. Hope to rent again.

We live in Powell, and my wife and I were looking for a close-to-home getaway while our youngest was away at camp. Love the house and the location! 8 minute walk to Cranberry's, which was awesome...ate almost all our meals there. Spend a Day Marina has reasonable weekly rentals and brand new boats, so having a nice dock at the house was a real plus so we could enjoy the water every day. Mark the property manager was terrific...all in all a great experience...we will be back. Thanks!

This was the perfect property for our mini vacation. Very quiet area of the lake with almost no boat traffic allowed for the kids to kayak, paddleboard, and swim without any worries. The cottage is the perfect size for a family of 4 and big enough for more to be comfortable too. The property is well stocked with everything needed for a stay. The lake room is a great feature, very open and airy with fantastic views of the lake. Mark was excellent to work with and answered all of our questions promptly. We will definitely be back.

We absolutely loved our stay! Virgil’s Cottage was super cute and had everything we needed. The owners were right next door and were so friendly and helpful. The adults and kids enjoyed the outdoor space and had a great time fishing off the dock. We will definitely return!

Great location and beautiful view. The sliding doors all along the back of the house allowed for great views from inside. The wood was provided for the fire pit and the gas grill was nice. We used the dock for a rented boat. The beds in the two queen bedrooms were very comfortable. We were glad that there was a washer/dryer. Only surprise was the room listed as two twin beds is actually bunk beds not suitable for adults because of how low the top bunk is (can't sit up on bottom bunk). One sofa in the living room was a sleeper but not real comfortable.

We had a fantastic Labor Day weekend at Virgil’s Cottage. Kirk and Mark were wonderful hosts. Great Location.
They even sent one of our granddaughter’s toys back through the post which we were very great full for.

This is the perfect spot for a family to come together. The bedrooms are large enough for queen beds and the bunk room is fun for kids. Both bathrooms are conveniently located and it's nice to have 1.5 with a family. The kitchen, dining and family room are close to each other so people can spread out and still enjoy the conversation. There is a wall of sliding doors, which can open to let the lake breezes in, or stay closed and still allow full view of the beautiful open water and outdoors. The concrete patio by the lake is perfect for just sitting, watching boats, sunsets and birds or for climbing onto a raft to float. We were lucky enough to see eagles several times, as they soared overhead and dipped into the water for fish. The owners were friendly and available if needed, yet respectful of our space.

The house was the perfect size for our family of 5. We loved the fact that it was pet friendly and we could bring our dog. The house is very clean. Having a dock made boating very easy. The only negative is the kitchen doesn't have a dishwasher. Otherwise everything was great. Will definitely stay here again

Our stay was mid April, 2021. The weather was nice enough to go fishing in the lake. The boat dock out the back door was great and also the patio lake wall!! The yard between the houses was nice for kids to play with a football and soccer ball. We enjoyed the fire pit and wood provided each evening. The cottage has several seating areas for everyone and nice view of the lake from the sunroom.There is no dishwasher but we managed. The cottage windows could use a cleaning, imagine window washing is done closer to summer time.The three bedrooms accommodate six and the queen pull out and couch in the living room worked well.We enjoyed our stay on the lake!!!The cottage manager was great with communication and information.

We had a good, relaxing weekend getaway here. We enjoyed fishing, biking, and sitting by the campfire. The living room has a great view of the lake. The house was clean and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Definitely would visit again!

Spent just as much time on our boat as we did at the property. The home was VERY clean and many updates have been made. The furniture was in very good shape and comfortable. The WiFi signal was stronger than expected and we could stream tv shows. The biggest and best thing for us was the outside deck area. The concrete was impeccable and the boat dock was in the wonderful shape for us to use for our boat. The fire pit and free firewood were also great in the evening! The tap water isn’t so great, but I don’t think that has anything to do with the property as much as the community. I’d recommend grabbing some gallons from the store or bringing a filter if that’s your drink of choice.

Mark and fam were so nice and welcoming during our stay! The house was lovely, AC worked great, beautiful view of the lake, stocked on firewood etc. highly recommend!
