I can't say enough good things about this amazing listing! We booked this location several months in advance and a few days before our arrival, we learned there was going to be freezing temps so were dreading the trip. We were traveling there for my BFF's birthday and decided to brave the freezing temps. The apartment was so CHARMING! We thoroughly enjoyed it! It is listed as a two bedroom but the second bedroom is actually the living room with a sleeper sofa ... this made no difference to us. My adult son traveled with us and slept on the sleeper sofa so each evening after returning from our revelries, we spent quality time in his "bedroom" laughing the night away. It was sooooo cold outside so we ubered most everywhere but had the weather been warmer, we would have chosen to walk most of the time. There is a homeless camp just under the overpass next to the apartment that is kind of sketchy but, then again, you are in New Orleans which abounds with homelessness, unfortunately. We were asking each other on the way home "What was your favorite part?" All three of us voted this VRBO ... adorable apartment! One more thing, to get onto the balcony, you must open the window and step through ... sounds crazy but this was one of our fav features LOL!!!

My VRBO experience, unfortunately, was not a good one. Upon arrival, the apartment was filthy. Garbage cans overflowing, dirty dishes in the sink, bedding on the floor. After travelling all day, we couldn't take a shower, because the bathroom was disgusting. I called VRBO's toll free # and was told the owner had 24 hours to fix the situation. I called the owner and was told that there was miscommunication with the cleaning service and that they would be there the next day. They did have a neighbor bring clean sheets, so we could at least get a decent night sleep and the owner did offer us a 50% refund.

Alligator Alley is as stated in the hosts description. Myself, and three others were very pleased with our accommodations and had a very enjoyable time. The backyard patio was our favorite area of the place. While the patio is small, the ambiance makes you forget where you are at, which makes it easy to decompress from a busy day of sightseeing.

My husband really enjoyed our stay at Alligator Alley. Everything was just perfect and exactly as listed. The host was very responsive and even provided little extras to make the stay feel like home. The neighborhood seemed safe and although they were doing construction on the cross street it did not affect our stay at all. Everything was easily within walking distance which was nice because then we didn’t have to worry about paying to park anywhere. We will definitely stay again if we return to NOLA.
