Location perfect, view perfect, but I requested a tree be trimmed hit my new car everytime I entered and exited the parking area, I was told it would be done but never was path to beach not maintained truly a tripping hazard This house has great bones but was not as clean as it should be ceiling fans were nasty baseboards not wiped down and under the beds were not clean....overall maintenance of this little house is lacking and it is a shame because it is a great house that needs TLC neighboring homes are getting more maintenance it is very evident by just comparing the outside of each property oh and a rat was seen on the deck, and it is due to overgrown landscaping parking area didn't look it has been swept in a long time....

We had a wonderful time! The location was the star attraction being oceanfront & the house suited us & all our needs! Would definitely come again!

The house itself was more spacious than it looked in the listing. The location was great as we could see the fireworks from the deck and the beach. It's nestled in the middle of a row of houses so not many people from the condos want to walk that far down. It is close to a few ice cream shops and restaurants though which was nice.
The house itself was slightly challenging as the only entrance is off the back deck. In desperate need of some newer beds and couches. We did purchase a hose and a clothesline which came in handy would have been nice to have already been there. The way the rooms are arranged made it hard to use the dressers because you couldn't pull out the drawers with the bed or a chair too close. There is lots of parking but the greenery on either side of the house needs trimmed as it sticks out quite a bit and could scratch your car.

The best thing about Casalona is the location. A well-maintained walkway directly to the beach with amazing sunrises in the morning. Walking distance to downtown CB and restaurants. I never used a rental company through VRBO before, but the experience was great. Great communication and a seamless process to check-in and check-out. The property can really use some updating inside and out, some things are dated and worn. It would not take much to fix it up, but good experience all around.

Place was great. Only problem was when at 1 am a young man pounded on the door asking to be let in, that this was his rental. I sent him away by calling 911 and he never came back - although he did break the gate and leave his shoes there :)

Perfect location with a small 3 minute drive into town. Private boardwalk directly to the beach. We loved the rocking chairs lining the porch. Spacious enough for me, 5 teenagers and a medium sized dog. One of the only beach houses that we have rented that still had plenty of hot water for the 6th person showering! Just a cute vintage beachfront house.

Perfect location!!!
Having our own private beach access was superb. The house was located close enough to walk to most places. While it could use some minor updating the layout, deck, and parking were perfect. I would rent this place again.

It's a nice property, great location on the beach and within a short bike ride to the board walk. Ideal if you have a family and want to let them ride up to the arcade without having to worry about crossing a busy road.

Casalona was perfect
We throughly enjoyed our stay at Casalona. It was very convenient to restaurants and only a short drive to the boardwalk. It was the perfect place to take my dog. He enjoyed his first visit on the beach. Only thing that would have made it perfectly would be to add a nonstick skillet for breakfast and a baking pan for biscuits, if you chose to cook breakfast there.

Disappointed. but friendly people resolved my issues
The property is in need of major repair in the kitchen area the back wall is beginning to rot.. The painting is in need of detailing, the furniture is in need of replacement, the refrigerator is rusting, the bottom of the kitchen cabinets needs cleaning and cabinet paper put down. With the kind of money that is being asked for to stay a week, you would expect more.

The porch was good size😊
Only issue was the leaking air conditioner overhead on the back porch. Because it made the porch wet the whole time.
Great views and walk to the beach. Nice kitchen and family space.

Good family & pet house.
Great week. However I feel we should advise of one problem that will shortly cause major damage to the house. The drip pan for the A.C. unit located in the attic over the porch has rusted through & dripping through the ceiling of the porch. If not attended to immediately there will be major structural damage. The dripping was annoying but did not disrupt our enjoyment of the house. But we would like to be able to rent again! Also the dishwasher didn't clean the dishes after 2 cycles on same dishes we had to hand wash. Still enjoyed our stay!

Loved the location right off of the beach, the decor of the home is nice and all the odds and ends like pots and pans etc were provided. The home needs some repairs. The outside shower does not work properly, wall paper is bubbling off of the wall in pretty much every room and it is Very large areas, practically could peel it off. Cabinets in kitchen are very old dated and falling off hinges, rust Everywhere and the bathrooms and windows... wow.. need a total redone and in very poor shape... couldnt open the windows in the kitchen.

Great porch view
Overall, the house is nice and very convenient, but some areas of the house could use some better upkeep (e.g., water stains on the ceiling). We enjoy the ocean-front porch and were glad to see the new boardwalk to the beach. We hope the owner's would consider adding wifi.
