A great place to stay. Clean, plenty of space, nature, comfortable. Wonderful location. You wont be dissatisfied.
This was our 3rd trip to Oregon and our second to Cape Meares. If you like nature, seclusion, the convinience of a nearby town and the stunning visuals of the oregon coast you cant go wrong here. It was a short walk to the beach but had a beach view, which was perfect for a windy November. The house was very comfortable and homie with an updated kitchen, bathrooms and lots of lounge space to look out the many huge windows. Bird watchers will love the surrounding wetlands and maybe youll see some local blacktail deer. Its 5 stars, easy, and we'd go back here again.
Thank you for the stay.

This house and location exceeded the description, photos, and expectations! We wanted a place with easy beach access, away from anything commercial, and a clean, comfortable house. We made use of the super clean hot tub, the outdoor grill, the grassy yard, and all the wonderful areas of the house.

Pros: Nice house amazing view therapedic beds if you like them. Well equipped kitchen sparkling hot tub. Nice bathrooms Privacy. Easy beach access.
Cons: Check in was a hassle. The house electronic lock code didn’t work and the cell service is bad outside. Finally walked out up in the yard and the first and second code didn’t work. Ended up getting in through the emergency lock box with the key. We got there late would advise you get their earlier. Also toilet paper holders fell off and curtain rod loose. Keep an Allen wrench handy. Lots of house rules also

The views from this house are beautiful. There is a lot of privacy as well. We were appreciative of all the board games and books for the kids to keep them entertained while we weren’t doing anything. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of space. I highly recommend this home for your vacation. You won’t be disappointed!

The views would be all you need but this place has so much more to experience. In August we watched deer eating blackberries and caught a glimpse of racoons on the deck. Oh, and the beach - spectacular!

We loved the layout of the house and the space for the 5 of us. The hot tub was recently cleaned and the kitchen was well stocked. And the beach was only a five minute walk. Plus the weather was wonderful.

The house has no next door neighbors so it's very private. The living spaces are wonderful, plenty of dishes, hot tub and a nice small grill outside. Only 2 bedrooms and bathrooms but a nice sleeper sofa my 22 yr old sob comfortably slept on. The only downside is the shower downstairs has no light so is very dark. Upstairs shower head is barely 5'6" high. All the furniture is very comfortable and the views are amazing. You can't see the ocean a block away but you can hear it!

House was great. It was clean had plenty of room for 6 of us including 4 teenagers to spread out. Kitchen was great had everything we needed. House is in great location, secluded and close to the beach. Hot tub was a nice feature and was great. If you like being away from the hustle of larger tourist communities this is great.

Sandpiper's location is quite private and quiet, and has views on all sides, including a view of the waves and of the marsh surrounding the house. (If you're there in the summer, bring bug repellant, because marshes!) If you want to "do the Oregon Coast," the tiny town of Cape Meares might not be for you—it's got no services and it's tucked quite aways from the highway. If you want to stay in place—relax, walk, read, watch birds, spend some quality time with a loved one or two—this is the place. As with many homes on the Oregon Coast, few of Sandpiper's main-room windows actually open to the breeze. There are a few that do, however, and the bedrooms and upstairs bathroom open completely. It's an older house, and the second floor is lofted above the first, so sound carries. If quiet isn't a concern for you, just skip this paragraph. :) If it is, I wouldn't recommend taking more than one or two other people. Sandpiper is very comfortable, so pleasantly decorated and laid out. We loved it.

Simply put this is the best rental property we have stayed at. The location is perfect for both seclusion and walks to the beach; the amenities are top-notch (fully-stocked kitchen and a great DVD library); the entire house is designed for maximum comfort. A perfect spot for those that want to stay in all weekend or use the house as a jumping-off point for exploring the coast. We plan to make this a yearly visit.

The home was clean and comfortable. The location is great if you love quiet getaways. We walked with coffee to the beach every morning and enjoyed watching the storms roll in over the ocean.

Had such a wonderful week at this house! It is an ideal location, nestled amongst nature. It is just a short walk to the beach and we kayaked on Cape Meares lake! We cooked all of our meals in the spacious kitchen and enjoyed the views from right inside the house. We had a deer visit several times during the week along with birds and other wildlife. We witnessed several unbelievable sunsets and one evening in the hot tub saw a shooting star! Will be back for sure!

Beach getaway
Our family has a lovely experience in this home. Apparently there was a brand new hot tub, with fewer chemicals, which was fantastic! The location is amazing and so out in the middle of nowhere, yet conveniently located near groceries and forgotten items. We all felt the bedding, chairs, couches were comfy and encouraged lounging. I highly recommend this house and we hope to return.

Amazing Location and Amenities
This was an amazing property to stay at-especially during the Age of Covid. We are a family of four with two young boys ages 6 and 8. They need a lot of room outside to run, play, be loud and be kids and this place fit the bill for that, among other things. Not having close neighbors on any side was awesome. This would be a great place to stay with another couple as well - such as grandparents who could be on the lower level. The beds were amazingly comfortable (our sons even commented how well they slept together in the downstairs bedroom) and views and the light in the house were awesome - I don’t think we ever put the blinds down. Having the two front decks, the back covered dining deck and the picnic tables were bonus for meals outside. The Guest portion of the garage supplied chairs, boogie boards, nerf launchers and croquet which we all had so much fun with. The beach was an easy two block walk away and we drove to a little put-in with our kayak to take the kids out. We saw elk in the meadow, bats while drinking wine outside at dusk and a baby male deer eating berries, all from the house. The hot tub was a bonus on the days when the marine layer stayed put and the kids loved the movies and game selections. (It was their first time playing Twister!) The bathrooms were a little funky with outdated showers but they were more quaint than anything and the master bedroom could use an empty dresser like the one in the downstairs bedroom - we didn’t have anywhere to unpack our clothes which would have been nice as we were there for 5 nights but hey, it just made packing easier when we left. The kitchen is spot on and there is a TON of counter space though a little bit lacking on some supplies we’ve come to depend on at rentals, like plastic bags, smaller Tupperware and spices, but certainly no hardship, we’ve just gotten used to not packing when we rent. Wishing this location were a little closer to Eugene but it’s definitely at the top of our list. It was great to explore Tillamook and Garibaldi - taking the kids to the lighthouse, octopus tree, tallest spruce and on the Oregon Coast Scenic Railway made for an all-around memorable place, with this beautiful house at the heart of it.

Great spot
Just what our family was looking for as a quick getaway. Super easy beach access, hot tub, lovely views of trees and marshy lake, and lots of peace and quiet. The house is well setup with lots of areas to hang out inside and out. We will be sure to return.
