Or, you may choose to park your 2 wheel drive vehicle at the top of the road and take the 5-minute walk down to the cottage. Parking is free. 2WD VEHICLES ARE REQUIRED TO PARK AT THE TOP OF OUR DRIVEWAY ~ NO EXCEPTIONS CLEATOR ROAD SHUTTLE: $40 For our 2-wheel drive guests…You may be interested in the assistance of our Shuttle Driver to help you with your luggage and groceries. We were a group of five women. We hadn’t all been together in 25 years so there was a lot of tears and laughter. The accommodations were wonderful. I think we all slept so well. The kitchen was well stocked. The view was lovely. We spent a lot of time sitting out of the deck watching ferries, the birds and talking. The road had some big potholes which I was told were going to be fixed soon. That was the only issue we had. I highly recommend this place.

My family travelled from Vancouver to stay in this property for 5 nights at the end of June. Here is what was great about this property: very close to Vancouver, the kitchen was great--modern, clean and well stocked, the views and deck space were second to none--exceptional in fact, bug screens on every window and door, comfortable beds (although very soft mattresses) and bed linens, pet-friendly (huge plus), quick responses from owner, lots of fans (ceiling and portable). We were happy to have been able to bring our own kayaks and paddle board and use them on the public beach/dock. We also enjoyed chatting with the friendly neighbours/locals. Things for improvement: websites and emails had inconsistent/inaccurate checkin times which caused confusion, the bathroom is dated and just "ok" but the owner is renovating the bathroom in 2022 which will be a great improvement, high number of decor/knick-knacks on display (I personally prefer cleared surfaces, less is more when it comes to cleanliness and decor at vacation rentals), lastly, I found myself quite on edge trying to remember the numerous rules to comply with, but I think we succeeded! All that being said, overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay on Bowen Island! Thank you Jan!

Splendid place
This is the most beautiful of locations. Just a stones throw from the rocky beach. My wife was able to paddle board along the coves every day. House was the perfect size for our family. Well equipped, clean and very comfortable. The views are wonderful from the big deck. Highly recommend! Oh...and Bowen is gorgeous!

We just returned from a weekend celebrating a friends' 60th Birthday. From start to finish everything went perfectly. I initially contacted Jan, told her what we would like to do, and she provided great information regarding possible tours, restaurants, hiking, and really importantly - connected us to Murray who hauled all our bags & groceries up and down the driveway. Although the driveway is a hike, we all enjoyed the exercise and this was not at all inconvenient. We rented the whole house and found this to be the perfect spot for 8 women. The view is spectacular, the kitchen beautiful and really well stocked with pots, pans, utensils and anything else you might need. Although our intention was to go out for dinner, we opted to stay in and enjoy the cozy wood burning fireplace and lovely surroundings instead. The bedrooms were very nice, some with spectacular views, and the mattress I slept on was exceptionally comfortable. We appreciated that the sleeping areas down below were located right under the bedrooms upstairs. Those that went to bed earlier were not disturbed by the rest of us who stayed up late. Whether you rent the whole house or either unit separately, both were really lovely. Fantastic views, great decks, and very private. You won't be disappointed!
