About this cottage rental
Nestled in Brewster, this lovely cottage for $291 per night is a great option for your next break. Welcoming 2024 guests! We have had an incredibly wonderful experience with all of our guests. We look forward to seeing some familiar faces, and always enjoy new guests, that love the Cape, and love and peaceful spot to relax. The calendar is up to date, we maybe adding availability, so just ask. Private 4 room freestanding cottage, all on one floor, with 2 separate sleeping areas. The master bedroom with a queen size bed, and the reading room with a full-size feather topped futon. We do-not advertise a 2 bedroom; we have a 2-guest maximum policy, and we cannot accommodate pets. We encourage our past guests, friends and others to reach out directly to ensure the best rates. We advertise on other free forums, we are not that hard to find. The cottage is located "Outback" behind the owner's main residence...we enjoy our privacy and respect yours. Free Standing Single Cottage, Private, Secluded, Huge Beautiful Outdoor Space. Great Convenient Location / Quiet/Private/Immaculate WIFI/Comcast Cable 46" Smart TV Full size fridge, microwave/convection oven, 2 electric countertop burners, coffee maker coffee grinder, blender, kitchenware….etc. Indoor & Private Outdoor shower 1 ½ mile to closest Cape Cod Bay beach 1/2 mile to closest fresh water swimming pond Outside your door: A stone & gardened walkway, outdoor patio with furniture/Weber propane grill/open custom built fire-pit with firewood on site A groomed path to an immense manicured back field bordered with an old cranberry bog with woodlands & plantings. Across the road from Cedar Pond (fishing) and conservation area. The cottage is located "Outback" from the main house. Both dwellings are designed to insure privacy for ourselves and of course our guests. Great location for travelers wanting to see the most of the Cape with timely day trips. Great location to bring a book and disappear in the field for a rest. Surf cast, fish the jetties, or charter your own excursion. Catch lunch or a sunset cruise, all of these wonderful activities just down the road at Sesuit Harbor. Great location to enjoy a variety of wonderful locally owned restaurants and pubs only minutes away. Great location to swim in pristine Cape Cod Bay, Northside beaches 4 minutes’ drive. Southside beaches 15 minutes away (Nantucket Sound) National Seashore 25 minutes away Cape Cod Rail trail 15 minutes away. Great economical value without compromising quality Pack Light...linens included, all bed, bath, and beach towels...beach chairs, umbrella, coolers included. Indoor storage for bikes. There is a $200.Fully refundable security deposit. (we have never withheld any security deposit) There is also a $50.00 payment processing fee. The property was exactly as we expected. The pictures on the VRBO site are perfect. While we were only there to get dressed for a wedding and then to sleep afterward, we did manage to meet the lovely host Anne and also take a short walk around the beautiful property before heading out in the a.m. I would highly recommend this spot!

"Outback" is a lovely, secluded property with places to walk on lush grass amid beautiful flowers and gorgeous landscaping. There are stone benches to sit on beneath aged shade trees, perfect for contemplation. It is quiet and peaceful, ideal for anyone looking to get away from the noise and stress of daily life.
The cottage is bright and colorful, decorated in an eclectic, whimsical style with lots going on. There are tons of books on a variety of subjects for reading on a rainy day, or on that bench down in the shaded area they call Jurassic Park.
We loved our stay there. Ann, our hostess, was very personable and fun to talk with. Her husband does all the landscaping. The cottage is in a central location with easy access to anywhere on the Cape.
I would recommend this location for retired couples, or those who want to relax, especially anyone who wants to take a break from cooking, as the kitchen is small and not fully equipped. There is a convection oven and a hot plate, but no stove. This will allow you to take advantage of the many nearby restaurants and eat authentic Cape Cod food, guilt free! Ann can recommend some good places.
This location would be difficult for handicapped persons or anyone who likes "spread out." The bathroom is very small, with no counter space. There is a one step change in floor levels between sleeping areas and the bathroom. It was easy to trip over, even though it was well marked. The cottage is cozy, but definitely not open space style!

Very clean, wonderfully decorated cottage with every amenity we could want. It is close to the public beaches, restaurants, and shopping. The National Seashore is just up the road, too. The property is close to everything without being in the crowded areas. It was so cozy, quiet, and relaxing, we loved everything about our stay. The outdoor shower was fantastic! The gardens were so beautiful! Ann and Peter were perfect hosts. We had the most relaxing, wonderful vacation!

Beautiful property, was perfect for my girlfriend and I to get a weekend getaway in the Cape. The property was well kept and clean, Ann was very helpful and provided great recommendations for how to spend our time there. It's nearby to just about all you need by car in less than 15 minutes max!

The quaint cottage felt incredibly homey - there are throw blankets galore, an awesome lending library shelf, and some interesting resource books for guest use. The bed and couch were both very comfortable. While there isn't a traditional full kitchen, the hot plates were really easy to use and more than sufficient! We were visiting to attend a wedding so unfortunately didn't get to experience the area as much as we would have liked, but we loved the space so much that we plan to return again to get the full experience. Fully recommend you give the Outback a try!

this is the best and most private cottage just heard birds . East Dennis is close to all the places we went to . We have been to the Cape many times and this is by far the besst place. Hostess was very attentive and would email us if we needed anything.We sat outiside on patio The whole experience was perfect .I can warmly recommend Outback!

I grew up summering on the Cape and Outback is the quintessential Cape cottage. From the outdoor shower to all the amazing books on Cape Cod and chic rustic Cape decor, Outback, will have you living like a true Cape Codder. Ann and Peter are simply amazing. Knowledgeable , friendly, quick to respond, and just genuine good people. Location can’t be beat. Brewster is central to all things upper and mid Cape. The cottage is private and the grounds are beautiful. If you see this cottage available - book it now - you won’t be disappointed 😄

Awesomely Beautiful Sunlit Nature Sanctuary!!
Even though my daily commute to the Cape Cod Institute was nearly an hour each way, it was worth it for the beauty*serenity and wonderful comforts of this sanctuary-space and the friendly responsiveness of the owners.
I wholeheartedly recommend this wonderful place—hope to return and stay 2 weeks next time!

An Absolute Gem!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Outback! This place is a gem! Such a cozy cottage, beautifully decorated, and gorgeous landscaping. We especially enjoyed the privacy, using the fire pit and outdoor shower. Ann and Pete are fabulous hosts, willing to help with anything, but still allowing their guests privacy. We’ve been vacationing at the Cape for many years, and have rented several houses, but this one is special!

Ann goes out of her way to make sure that every thing you could possibly need is stocked in the house and even adds fresh flowers from her lovely gardens. The outdoor shower is amazing (we never took a shower inside), the bed is super comfy, and there are plenty of towels, pillows - every thing you could possibly need. Plus, Dennis is in the middle of everywhere! The beautiful bay side beaches were about a mile away. The restaurants (both fancy and walk-up) are less than 5 miles away. If we needed recommendations, Ann knows absolutely everything about the cape and can tell you what are "must sees" and which things are "once and done."
If you are looking for a quiet and comfortable escape or you are super adventurous (or maybe both), there is so much to do within a short drive of The Outback. I can't say enough nice things about the owners and the property or Cape Cod at the end of the season!

Idyllic Haven
My brother and I needed a place to lift our spirits in a difficult time and this was absolutely it! The grounds are lovingly groomed with a gorgeous combination of native and non-native plants. The private patio with a fire pit built into the garden was a delight. Everything inside the charming cottage was convenient and spotless! We lacked for nothing and our hosts checked in with us more than once to make sure we had what we needed. Ann was exceptionally kind with a wicked sense of humor and more than ample know-how and wisdom. I highly recommend a stay here and look forward to returning when we're in the area!

A Cozy Cottage in a Lovely Setting
If you want to explore all that Cape Cod has to offer, you can't go wrong with the Outback. It is a cute cottage nestled in a park-like property. And your hosts, Ann and Pete genuinely do all that they can to help their guests feel at home away from home. In addition, they are great tour guides to help you explore all that the Cape has to offer.
The cottage is cozy and has all that you might need. The only thing, in my opinion, that keeps this from being a five star experience is the slightly funky layout of the cottage. The kitchenette is a little small and the toilet and sink are in one room with the shower in a completely separate room. But these are only minor inconveniences.
Unless you simply have to stay within walking distance of a beach, the cute cottage, its idyllic setting and its wonderful hosts will enhance your experience of Cape Cod.

Private and peaceful cottage
My friend and I rented this lovely cottage for a week Cape Cod adventure. Ann, the owner, was gracious and very helpful with any questions. She helped with advise on our day trips which was greatly appreciated. The cottage is delightful! It is just perfect for two and is situated in a beautiful setting. The grounds are very private and beautifully maintained. We had fresh flowers on the counters upon arrival. The cottage had everything we needed for our stay and lots of extras that Ann thoughtfully left for renters. The outside had a flagstone path leading to the firepit, the outdoor patio seating and an outdoor shower. The inside was immaculate and comfortable. We had a wonderful time and would definitely love to return!! Thanks you Ann and Peter for letting us share your lovely cottage! BEST ADVENTURE!!
