Located in Big Pine Key, this charming house for $239 per night is a great option for your next break. PEAK A BOO BAY VIEWS & QUICK ACCESS TO THE OPEN WATERS; GULF & OCEAN. We’d like to share our home with you. It’s a very spacious and clean 2 bedrooms, 2 bath home with an over sized master bedroom & bath. Cathedral ceiling in spacious living room that includes a queen size sleep sofa. Home is bright & airy. Wide, open covered deck with wrap around walkway. Home is on a 50ft wide canal and is just off of the Bogie Channel with easy access to the Gulf and Atlantic. Great fishing, lobstering, kayaking and diving. Concrete dock, fish cleaning station & fenced in yard. There are many activities and lots of fun in the sun for the family, i.e. Dive or snorkel off of Looe Key Reef, great fishing, lobstering and spearfishing. Visit Bahia Honda State Park or even take a ride to Key West, which is only 31 miles away. Enjoy Kayaking, Canoeing & Paddle Boarding too! National Key Deer Refuge is also in Big Pine Key, you will be greeted by our tiny island key deer which you will see roaming around everywhere, so please be careful of them as they cross the roads. Also be sure to check out the beautiful white sand beaches at Bahia Honda State Park and the National Key Deer Rescue. There, you can see the tiny – and very cute – wild deer known as Key deer, about the size of a large dog. The kids will love it and so will you. You will also enjoy our seafood and you'll find some of the nation’s best seafood restaurants here and on nearby keys. While we have some toiletries and pantry items for your personal use, please plan on supplying your own. There are 2 international airports that you fly into; either Key West International which is approximately 30 miles away or Miami International which is approximately 100 miles away. If you decide to fly into Miami International Airport and drive the 100 miles thru to The Florida Keys, expect the travel time to be approximately 2 hours. We have 1 road (Overseas Highway) that goes thru our Beautiful Keys with a speed limit of 45 to 55 the majority of the way and sometimes 35 if your driving thru Big Pine Key at night. Although the trip will take you some time, it will be a very breathtaking trip as you travel thru the different keys with the view of our beautiful blue/green waters. Be sure to make some stops at the different gift stores that we have, i.e. Shell World in Key Largo, Lunch at Key Largo Fisheries in Marathon, the Lobster Rueben is delicious and don't forget to get a piece of Key Lime Pie for dessert. As you make your way thru Marathon, there is a Publix Grocery Store & a Kmart if you need to stop for any necessities, fishing license, etc. There is also a Winn Dixie Grocery store just down from your rental too. As you enter into Big Pine Key, please be careful of the Key Deer as they do roam the key freely. You'll find relaxing, water-borne activities. So Come dip your toes in the water and have some fun in the sun!!

Every time I visit Big Pine Key, I stay at this home with friends and family. We enjoy the fabulous location for walking to the park, bicycling all around the neighborhood looking for the key deer, we visit Bahia Honda State Park since it's very close and most important Bogie Chanel is right off of the canal and no fixed bridges. We had a few manatees visit us during our stay, which was really cool to see and we also enjoyed going to No Name Pub - there were so many key deer around. And although only a 2-bedroom, the living area is quite big that we never felt overly crowded, besides there are so many different seating areas anyways. We look forward to our next stay.

We were there as Ian passed west of Ft Jefferson. Noisy and windy, but the storm and surge were manageable. Hosts were very supportive throughout! Thanks, Janise and Ray.

The checkin information on VRBO was inaccurate, so check in was a bit rough. The owner was available, so the issue was resolved and there are a few cosmetic flaws in the home that will be addressed shortly. After talking with the owner and relaxing, we began to enjoy our stay and found it to be a great location with a community park close by that was great for biking. The boat ramp is fairly close and the boat dockage was convenient. We enjoyed our stay and would return again. I would give it 5 stars if the cosmetic features were repaired.

This home was located on a quite street, with great dockage on canal with quick access to channel leading to Gulf or Atlantic. Fishing and lobstering were just minutes away, so definitely bring or rent a boat. Home was nicely appointed. Grocery store and several restaurants were only a few minutes drive away. Plan on returning next year.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, this home is clean and we'll kept, with a true florida keys "feel". The owners are very informative and offer some good ideas on things to do, as well as being very friendly, they even told us some of their favorite places to fish. I will definitely be back next year.

Good clean house, GREAT dockage and canal. Big boat no problem.Loved the well-furnished porch overlooking the canal with views of the harbor. We met a couple of neighbors and they were nice. Owner is friendly and responsive and I would definitely rent this house again. My only gripe is that the house should have been supplied a little better. I've rented a lot of houses over the years and have come to expect at least a weeks worth of trash bags, dishwashing soap and laundry detergent, coffee filters etc. Most keys houses also have a freezer downstairs since you go through lots of ice. This one did not.
