Situated in Upper Matecumbe Key, this attractive villa for $378 per night is a great choice for your next break. Bayside is a first floor apartment overlooking the water. Bayside is located on a small resort property nestled in a native hammock on Florida Bay. An easy 90 minute drive from Miami International Airport, this property is located in the heart of Islamorada, directly on Florida Bay. Bayside is fully air conditioned and there are ceiling fans throughout. The kitchen is modern and equipped with all the necessary appliances. The property is a nature lovers dream with resident fish, lobster, an octopus and an occasional manatee in the marina, iguanas that sun themselves by the boat basin and pelicans, egrets and osprey that fly in for periodic visits. Our boat basin can accommodate boats up to 26 feet in length and dockage is included in the rental. The property is private and secluded, away from traffic and noise, yet is convenient to many of the best restaurants and attractions in the Keys. A variety of shopping is nearby. Sunsets over the water of Florida Bay are breathtaking. Well behaved pets are welcome, please inquire. Bayside has a master bedroom with a king size bed and it's own bathroom. There is a second bath. There is a new queen size Murphy bed in the living room. The living room and dining area are bright and sunny. The kitchen is fully equipped with oven, range and microwave, dishwasher, icemaker, coffee pot, blender, dishes and pots and pans. A barbecue is provided to grill your fresh catch. The entertainment center has a TV with cable services, a DVD player, and stereo should it rain one afternoon. A clothes washer and dryer are provided. The marina has electric service and water, and has automatic lights at night. A boat ramp is available for boats up to 17-18 feet. Trailer parking is available. Included in the rental is admission to the Islamorada Founders Park, just a short drive north to Plantation Key where you will find an olympic size pool, tennis, ball fields, and other amenities. You're minutes away from the best back country (bonefish, tarpon, permit, snook, redfish), blue water (sailfish, dolphin, wahoo, cobia) and reef fishing (grouper, snapper, yellowtail) in the entire Florida Keys. Fishing off of our jetty in the evening is a lot of fun for the kids. Magnificent snorkeling and scuba diving sites abound in the local area. A wide range of boating activities are available year round since our area of the bay is well protected. Sea Kayaking and canoeing along our shoreline is popular. Of course water skiing and knee-boarding are a hit with the kids. Local shopping for clothing, souvenirs, and fishing and boating needs is plentiful. Grocery stores are convenient. There are several local attractions if you need a day out of the sun and there are several . Key West is a day-trip away. Bayside is an unique place, and the people who visit, both owners and guests, feel very special about the property. The privacy is wonderful, the accommodations are new and clean, the property peaceful, and the access to the fishing is the best in the Keys, indisputably. We LOVED our stay here. As advertised, this is a very clean, and charming cottage. The location is peaceful with great waterfront views. Close to everything in Islamorada - We enjoyed watching the sunsets, boats, and wildlife. . Great host with excellent communication! Would definitely stay here again ! :)

This villa had everything we needed and more! Cozy, clean villa. We began each day exploring the sealife within 100 feet of our door (manatee, octopus, shark, etc). Ended each day with a beautiful sunset! Quiet beautiful spot with excellent restaurants within walking distance. Lovely vacation!!

What a wonderful time we had. Weather was perfect and sunsets were from a travel guide. This was our forth stay at Bayside and the upgrades were really nice, especially the bathrooms. The Murphy bed came in handy as I am a noisy sleeper and my wife would go to bed with me but end up in it to get a good nights sleep. The location of Bayside is excellent. Shopping and restaurants are all within walking distance. When we first stayed in the unit, about ten years ago, it had vertical blinds on the slider allowing a panoramic view of the bay when they were open. The new horizontal blinds can only open half way which eliminates our favorite part of Bayside, the view. One thing that surprised us was that three of the dimmer switches were missing the plastic toggle which left bare metal protruding into the rooms. This detracted from the overall excellence of the unit. In regards to the dimmer, it appears nondimmable light bulbs were used which affects the functionality of dimmers. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. We would like to thank the owners for their prompt response to questions we had. The bottle of wine was a very nice and appreciated welcome to Bayside.

Location location location! We loved being right at our boat. From the marina bay we saw tons of fish and even manatee. Lots of restaurants nearby. Very comfortable bed and shower. ALL of the neighbors were friendly and helpful making for a perfect week.

The property is old Florida charm. Very nicely kept but not overdone. Got to villa surprised with a great bottle of Merlot . Which was perfect with sunset. You immediately realize that you are in the heart of everything and along way from everything. Room for your boat in a protected basin. Great fishing and beautiful views , all right out the door. We have stayed here many times , but the new owners have certainly done a great job upgrading the units. Very nice. I would recommend this place for anyone.
