Spent a wonderful 2 weeks at this property. Such a peaceful and beautiful setting.

We had the best week relaxing and recharging from work and school, the perfect way to kick off our summer! It was very quiet and peaceful. The pool and grounds are immaculate and you truly feel like you’re in paradise. Great way to unplug and read, rest, relax…and we enjoyed watching all of the sea life off of the pier. Alex was the best host and truly cares that you enjoy your stay. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again!

We loved the property and enjoyed morning coffee sitting at the little Tiki bistro table on the beach and evening drinks sitting in the Adirondack chairs. As for any problems, no major ones. It is an old home and always will be in need of some repair. The only concerns we had were the following. Outside pool was too cold to use much. A few miner repairs to be done in the house. A need for some new pots and pans. As I said these are mostly minor things and we will return next year. We have friends who are interested in the property as well. We stayed for a week and didn't want to go home! Picture perfect sunrises, clean property, close to the grocery store. Great setup. We enjoyed watching baby nurse sharks and a baby hammerhead off the dock. Hammocks and the pool were awesome for lounging. Islamorada Brewing is right down the road along with the tiki bar at the Postcard Inn. Lots to do nearby, perfect property for the days you just want to chill. The property and location was inviting and relaxing. We had such a great time and Alex is a superb manager! We will definitely return to Islamorada and rent this property.

The outdoor space was absolutely paradise. The house had everything we needed. For reference only, the twin beds and queen bed were on the softer side. The master bed was on the firmer side. Would definitely return!

I've always wanted to know what it was like to live on the ocean and that's exactly what we did at this fantastic house. The ocean is literally your backyard. We had a fantastic stay and already planning our next trip back. -Communication with Alex was fantastic. He provided valuable information and recommendations prior to our arrival. We had an issue accessing the house when we arrived. While very frustrating, Alex was great and provided appropriate service recovery. -Pictures of the house are very accurate, although you have to see the pool/grounds to fully appreciate how spectacular they are. We are a family of five. My wife and I had plenty of room in the master bedroom and private bath. Amazing views from the bedroom. The updated master bath was very nice. -Living room had ample seating for our family and stayed very cool with A/C and fans. We did spend some family time in the living room, but honestly spent almost all our time outside. -The guest bedrooms were fine, our kids loved them. The only complaint is those rooms stayed much warmer than the master bedroom and living room. Plenty of fans were provided to help keep those rooms cooler. No issues with the kids sharing the one other bathroom. -Kitchen was fully stocked, we cooked several meals at the house. Fridge kept drinks cold and really appreciated the ice maker. Laundry room was also great. -Cannot say enough great things about the pool and grounds. We spent so much time outside. In fact, our kids did not want to leave the house for dinner, treats, etc. We loved just staying at the house and enjoying outside. The artificial grass around the pool was perfect, great for your feet and the ambiance. Tons of outdoor seating. We ate several meals at the picnic table. -The rest of the 'yard' is sand and fun to explore. We all took turns in the waterfront hammock. -Fantastic dock. We really enjoyed it at night with the breeze and stars. Lots of lobster off the end of the dock. -Really appreciated the two kayaks - a 2-person and a single. We used them daily. We also rented a SUP for the week, perfect for the calm waters off the house. -We did rent a boat for 1 day. Next time, I will rent one for the week. You would need to confirm, but I think the water is deep enough off the dock to keep the boat at the house. -Fully-stocked rocery store is directly across the street. -Pretty decent amount of road noise, but that's to be somewhat expected based on geography.

This was our second holiday at Russell Estate. We loved it the first time, before the pool was put in! Now it is even more spectacular! The house is spacious and always spotless when you arrive. The pool and grounds are maintained weekly. If you have an issue the owner Alex responds within minutes and takes care of it. Of all of the VRBO rentals we have had over the years in the Keys, this is by far the best we have ever experienced!

My Family and I had a wonderful experience. The property was extremely clean and the view was spectacular. It was quiet and peaceful and a great way to unwind and relax. The pool was perfect and the view from the pool was awesome! We also enjoyed the kayaks and all the sea life we were able to see from the pier! I would recommend this property to anyone!

Our stay was wonderful. The highlight of the property is the views from the back yard of the ocean, palm trees, pool, etc.

House was great, property and location are great for exploring the keys. We only wish we could have stayed longer.

The Russell Estate lets you step back and take a breathe, you leave the Russell Estate with a keen, carefree enjoyment of life; my family had continuous nature in their eyes and spirits "each beautiful day", thank you Alex for wonderful linens, super comfortable very clean house, your excellent attention to us, we shall see you down the road again! Overall, we had a wonderful stay at this lovely house. The pictures are quite an accurate representation of the house and property. The traffic outside on highway 1 was more than we expected but manageable. Please note though that we did not hear any traffic noise while were in the house or on the beach part of the property. Overall, it was a bery lovely stay and I highly recommend it for families in the future

I can't say enough great things about this property and home! The property is massive, with plenty of space for all kinds of activities: there is a basketball hoop, a volley ball/badminton net with balls/ racquets provided. 3 sides of the property are sand and the beach front has shaded hammocks and a wonderful long dock for boats and lounging to watch the spectacular sunrises and sunsets. We took our 2 Rhodesian Ridgebacks and they had the time of their lives...the entire property is fully fenced and so we felt the dogs were completely safe...they even learned how to ride in a kayak (there were 3 or 4 provided, plus life jackets) The house is far larger than it first appears upon arrival, and was spotless! The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you might need to cook meals for a large group. It was extremely hot when we were there, and the AC, fans etc. made it so comfortable day and night. This was the best rental property we have ever had in the Keys. We always look for a place for 2 weeks each summer and this rental was a dream location. Aside from the wonderful home and property, it is situated to groceries, and so many options for shopping restaurants/bars and everything you might want to do! Like I said, the best place we have ever stayed in the Keys, and Alex (the owner) is on top of everything and completely responsive for questions or concerns. BEST RENTAL EVER!

We had a good week at the Russell Estate. The backyard is phenomenal ! We kayaked, saw lots of marine life off of the dock, and relaxed under the palm trees in the back yard. There were hermit crabs at night and iguanas during the day. The volley ball net was nice, the hammocks both had a few strings broken on them but still functioned. There was a bit of seaweed but this is everywhere right now. I loved how the Publix was across the street. The house is older but taken care of and everything worked properly. I really liked the shower in the master bathroom. This house is right down the street from Theatre of the Sea and a wonderful restaurant called Wahoos. We also went deep sea fishing and cooked our fish there on the grill.

Perfect location. Wonderfully quiet private beach. The house is well stocked and Alex has been very attentive. Looking forward to our return!
