Our stay was very comfortable and perfect for our new year stay. Giraffe theme was very tastefully done. Additional features e.g. toothpaste, cotton buds, cooking oils and spices added to the thoughfulness of the host. Breakfast in the back gatden was lovely. Didn't get ttime to use the front shared seating area apart from taking photographs. Safe neighbourhood with many homes decorated for Christmas which gave it a festive feel. Shops in walking distance, plus buses and trains to get to and from San Diego Bay. Visited friendly local Baptist Church.

Pictures don’t do this place justice! It was such a cute 2 bedroom. This place with fully stocked with kitchen supplies, spices, toiletries… full size shampoo and conditioner… extra toothbrushes… everything! There was coffee & tee available to make. The beds were so very comfortable! And the couches were so comfortable, so many nights where one of us fell asleep on the couch! TVs in all the rooms, plenty of parking and a washer and dryer WITH DETERGENT! Also cleaning supplies and extra supplies If needed in their garage. The backyard was cute as well as the front. I know people mentioned the neighborhood looking sketchy but NEVER once did we feel scared. It was actually super quiet!! It was just us two moms with our two 9 year old baseball boys. We met the neighbors: next door, in front and one on the side with the pool (we stayed for 7 nights). If you rent a Tesla there is a super charger station very close and a lot of restaurants near by! We also met and were in constant communication with MariCarmen our host. She was also so very very sweet and open with communication.
We asked for an ice-chest and she had one available in less then 30 mins. I cannot stress enough how wonderfully our stay was. We travel a lot and this was by far my favorite little place.
I hope to come back to visit!

Our stay at the Giraffe House was a very enjoyable one. The home is beautifully decorated and furnished quite well. We were very impressed by our host and her home, and we do intend to stay there again if we’re ever in the San Diego area. We are a family of four and this was a perfect fit for us.

Our hosts were great. Communicated well with us and provided what we needed. The home was well kept and clean. The neighborhood made us a little uncomfortable. We could smell marijuana coming through the windows a few times at night and one evening we came back to a group of men gathered down the street that made us a little uncomfortable. But the property itself is back behind homes and secluded enough that we weren’t overly worried.

We had a great stay at Giraffe house. We loved how comfy and spacious it was, and the cute decor. The property was as described. One person was in a wheelchair and the house had enough room to maneuver. There was just two small steps at the front door. The hosts were able to address any problems that arose. The area was nice and close to many stores, restaurants and sites. We had a fantastic time.

The Giraffe House provided perfect lodging for a little family vacation over Christmas. The property was clean and comfortable, and it was clear the owner has put effort into maintaining and updating the rental. We found the kitchen and linens to be well stocked, adding to the homey feel. Maricarmen communicated needed information regularly and responded promptly to questions.
If in the area we would stay at this property again.

We were not disappointed in our selection of the Giraffe house. It was as described, the host was accommodating and easy to contact if needed. I treated my son and daughter to thanksgiving dinner and fell in love with the smart appliances. Everything you would need was available. Good location and access to all San Diego attractions. One note if staying in “winter” colder temperatures no heat in bedrooms, comforter and blankets were suppled and put to use by me. Everyone else was fine lol. I would recommend and return if needed again

I believe we could've enjoyed the place a bit more if we wouldn't have ran into some plumbing issues. We woke up to water leaking under the sink into a bowl but the bowl was already full and it spilled onto the floor. We shut off the water for the owner and we didn't use the kitchen for the rest of our stay. We had gotten groceries so we could cook and use our rental to it's full potential. The irritation and frustration led us to leaving for a couple of days to my brother's house. The owner swiftly got it fixed but we didn't feel comfortable after that due to the lack of communication with the sink damage before we booked our stay. We didn't feel safe having to take the bowl out from under the sink where there was an electrical extension next to the bowl of water we had to empty out. I can't give a full and proper review of the property due to the fact that we didn't get to enjoy it's actual full potential.
The backyard and the front yard are beautiful and the Giraffe house gives you a homey feeling. A home away from home. Our stay felt too short

Great secluded property!
The Giraffe house was an adorable secluded property. Everything was super clean and the host was very responsive. It’s 15 minute drive from most SD tourist destinations. The family had a wonderful time relaxing and enjoying the backyard and front fire pit area. We will definitely stay again when in SD.

Beautiful home away from home!
Maricarmen is by far the best host I've had. She is very clear and makes check in a breeze! She is considerate of her guests and communication is excellent! I wish all hosts and homes were like the Giraffe house. Its clean, roomy, very cute, and had everything we needed. She even had toiletries available for us in case we left something. She originally didn't have toddler accommodations listed on the listing, so I asked if she had a high chair and/or pack n play for our little one, can you believe, Maricarmen actually got what we needed for our stay and had them set up when we arrived! Super sweet and thoughtful of her. We will DEF be back next time we are in San Diego and if your staying in San Diego, I would recommend the Giraffe House!!! Thank you Maricarmen!

The interior of the facility was impeccable. Mericarmen was easy to work with and very accommodating with any concerns or needs we had while there. However, the house is located between several houses that have multiple dogs in the backyards. I love dogs and understand they bark sometimes, however, these dogs barked excessively and throughout the night. The neighbors had no concern in quieting their animals at all. I understand that Mericarmen cannot control these animals as they are not her animals, however, I feel that reports to the Animal Control or the city may cause contact with the owners and maybe they will care to quiet them, at least when people are trying to sleep.

Clean & Comfortable
Property is very clean and all furniture/bedding is comfortable and soft. Linens are soft and new, TV's in all rooms, closets are newly remodeled and spacious (as is all the indoor space), kitchen is fully equipped with everything necessary to cook (new stainless appliances), bathroom is also fully stocked with soaps, body wash, toothpaste, shaving cream etc....My husband and I forgot our toiletry bag at home and were pleasantly surprised that the home already had these items waiting for us. There is air conditioning, but it was not necessary because there are ceiling fans in all rooms and a nice light breeze that came through when windows and doors were open. Just super comfortable all around....
The immediate outdoor space (front and back) are cute, with firepit and seating for 10+.... Host was very friendly - answered all questions and was helpful with any issue we had within minutes (even after hours). Home is centrally located in Chula Vista - close to all shopping and amazing local eats, 15 minutes from downtown SD and 10 minutes from IB and Bonita. We will stay here again when we visit our family in the future. Big thanks to the host for being so accommodating and personable on such short notice - well worth the price.

Great weekend getaway!
The Giraffe home was so very clean and comfortable. We had a weekend stay to visit family. Plenty of space, kitchen necessities, blankets and linens. We felt very safe, and neighborhood was quiet. We will stay there again in the future without a doubt. Maricarmen was very accommodating in every way possible.

I felt just like I was walking into my own home. I was delightfully surprised at every drawer, which opened to find the exact something I needed. The condo is spotless, and looks like I was the first one to ever enter.

I enjoy cooking for family and friends and the kitchen at Giraffe House was the best well-appointed kitchen I could have wished for. The owner went over and above to provide everything we could possibly need. I threw a family bbq one evening where my daughters boyfriend planned on proposing and the owner went out of her way to make it extra special for us!! I would highly recommend Giraffe house in Chula Vista for any of your out of town housing needs.

Check in was very easy, the place was very cozy and comfy. Although it was too cold to go outside, the backyard was cute & inviting. Our Host had it stocked with anything we might have needed.
