About this villa rental

White Cottage - Point Rendezvous 4 Bedrooms | 4.5 Baths White Cottage is a beautiful villa on the south shore of St. John. A mulitude of colorful bougainvillea line the entranceway, inviting guests to enter. Once there, a cool, deep blue pool provides a centerpiece for this gorgeous villa with a crisp, meditteranean feel. Beyond lies the crystal Carribean, from Fish Bay directly below to St. Croix on the distant horizon. Located in upscale Pt. Rendevous is close enough to Cruz Bay for convenient dining and shopping, yet away from it all! The home itself offers 4 master bedroom suites, all with a/c and all designed and located for optimum privacy for guests. Each bedroom has a beautiful mahogany king size bed, and is decorated in a warm tropical motif. The kitchen and great room are welcoming and comfortable, with an open design kitchen that flows into the living space. With an overstuffed sofa and rich mahogany accents, this is the perfect place for catching up with the world or catching up on a good book. Better yet, get lost in the twilight and watch the sky and sea as day fades to night, and the moon rises over Bordeaux Mountain and lights up the ocean below you. White Cottage is a non-smoking villa. Keywords: Villa, House, Home, Rental Villa, Rental Home, Vacation Villa, Vacation home

This was our first time renting White Cottage on St. John. We have been renting villas for many years on the island along with semi annual stays at Caneel Bay. It really is a nice house in a great location very private and not too far from Cruz Bay. There are four large private masters all with King beds we invited 2 other couples for the week and had plenty of space. The kitchen has every thing you need to prepare meals and plenty of serving platters etc often missing on other properties. The house has a laundry with brand new top of the line washer dryer so no need to over pack your suitcase. The pool is small and in a bit of a precarious location between the main house and a up stairs bedroom suite. The management company Destination St. John in my opinion is the best on the island we expect top notch service and always receive it. From the pick up at the ferry dock to the gourmet lunch basket in the fridge they make sure every thing is perfect for your stay. White Cottage is an excellent choice for a property in this price range and we would consider returning.

We spent a week at White Cottage in August 2015. The home is in a great area, about a 10 minute drive to town. We were happy to have a private pool and lovely terrace to relax on. We found the kitchen to be well stocked and the home had plenty of beach towels for us to use, as well as beach chairs and coolers, which was a nice touch. It would benefit from more seating around the kitchen table and the living room area as there was not enough for our entire group at once. Fortunately, we spent much of our time on the terrace outside so it wasn't a big issue. We initially could not log into the Wi-Fi, but that was quickly resolved and we had no problem with the Wi-Fi after that. We had 5 adults and 2 teens in our group, so we used all the bedrooms. I think we all enjoyed having our own private space to retreat to at the end of our action packed days. If you have young children you need to know that except for the main bedroom, adjacent to the kitchen space, you must go outside to get to the bedrooms and use an outside staircase to access the ones downstairs. The bedroom adjacent to the living space is the largest with a sitting area. As another reviewer mentioned, the morning sun is strong. Take a sleeping mask if you plan to sleep-in. When we visited St John, the island was in a severe drought, so we were instructed on arrival to take very short (1-2 minute) showers and not to flush the toilets unless necessary, etc. This was unexpected, but we did as asked but still "ran out" of water the night before we left which was inconvenient. We were not told this could happen. I understand the entire island has these restrictions and they have water delivered to fill up the reservoirs under the homes. Anyone travelling to St John should know that these water restrictions are in place.

We were a group of four couples and rented White Cottage thru Destination St John. We could not find many reviews and our only other stay in St John was a condo for two of our group at Grand Bay. We were very pleased with our stay and the value we received. The villa is perfect for four couples to have privacy and common areas. It was clean, fully stocked and our only issue was the Internet which we could no log into. This was resolved with replacement of the router and a minor inconvenience. The villa was well stocked with beach and bath towels, fully air-conditioned and kitchen fully equipped for cooking in. We enjoyed a full moon the week we were there and enjoyed our simple grilled dinners on the veranda more so than any restaurant we visited. The villa was private and away from town a bit but easy to find and access. The only thing missing was a sunset view. The only thing I would suggest they add are black out drapes for sleeping in. The sunrise hits right into the east facing bedrooms very early. We spent our days at the various beaches and did not stay awake very late so we were awake early but could have been an issue if you want to sleep past 7:00 a.m.
