Good sized unit with modern interior. Fan and blankets for guest use when needed. Friendly bar staff when collecting unit key. A short drive to hokitika township.

Didn't eat here. Location nice and quiet. Loved listening to the birds early morning before leaving. Saw a weka walk through property

A microwave or hob in room would be a good idea.

No bedside lights. WiFi didn’t work - not their fault

Free parking. Good wifi. Very clean. Comfy bed. Fridge, hot water kettle, microwave and toaster in the room. Free coffee and tea. Restaurant on site.

Quiet location, and handy to the hotel if you're after a meal and a drink or two. Nice glow worm dell by the roadside a few hundred meters up the road. Good shower.

The room stunk. Reeked of mould or mustiness that made me feel sick. Others have mentioned this too but the owners either don't read reviews or don't care. The rooms are quite modern but this really makes them unpleasant. Drain in bathroom was full of smelly gunk. No sink to do dishes either. Poor design disgusting smell. Left early to escape it.

Great accommodation and Woodstock Hotel has lovely meals. Really nice country community pub. Quite clean and comfortable accommodation with a huge bathroom.

the bathroom in the accomodation is really clean and massive could do cartwheels in there. the amenities are very good. has everything you need for a good stay pub right across the carpark

Wifi was terrible I'm afraid, and this was important as we had to get up early for an online job interview.. And the unit we were in had a bit of a moldy smell in the carpet.

Property was modern, clean and comfortable

Excellent facilities, great staff. A bonus of beer and good food too. Better than expected.

It is a motel hence, we were not expecting much, but it is a nice transient place as it is charming from the outside just how booking.com pictures showed online. The shared balcony and parking right in front of the room are important to us. We can see our rental car and were able to move our luggage in and out of our room easily. The bathroom is spacious. Surprised that the bed is comfortable especially for a motel. We also like the Woodstock Restaurant as it served as the reception area :-) We had a couple of drink right after check in. Relaxing al fresco right outside the restaurant. The West Coast treetop walk is not far from this motel.

I would say the location, as we did miss our turn and we had to go around in circle finding the place. It is about 10-15 min away from the center of the town if you like to eat out. The motel restaurant is an option and it has a nice city view if you sit outside.

Had all we needed. Big room. All the basics were there so no complaints. Bar next door had food and beer so that was handy.

About 10min drive outside town - not major problem as bar and food onsite was fine.
