Just want to say this was our very first trip to Hawaii and on top of the experience our stay at Kaanapali Shores was amazing. Exactly as advertised, the view from both the balcony and the master bedroom literally breathtaking. On our last day our beach was visited by seals which were viewed right outside the window, so cool! The cleanliness of the condo was good but, the pull out bed from the couch can use a little vacuuming, and the top bedroom bed skirt as well can use some cleaning, otherwise everything else seemed great!? Thank you Vacasa for your service!

It’s a great view at a moderately priced condo resort close to restaurants and shops right on the beach. The place was very clean. The only thing I did not like was the master bedroom stays pretty hot due to the windows facing the beach and sun all day so it’s hot in that room but the rest of the place is cool. It was a nice place and well decorated. Beds were hard and not comfortable but we did not care becsue the views are amazing. I would stay here again no doubt. It was worth the price.

You could hear the ocean as you fall asleep. Perfect for a family of 5 with plenty of room to spread out. Kitchen was nice with basic utensils etc. clean! Decorating was a little dated, but for the Hawaiian Highly recommend

We took the family to Maui to celebrate a couple of big birthdays and a special graduation. Waking up to the beach directly below us was paradise. The unit and property had everything we needed. The beds and bedding were adequate but could use an upgrade. Regardless we are planning to return soon.

This stunning location is perfect for a traveling family. We loved have 3 king beds. The AC was ice cold and the water capacity, perfect. The kitchen is a little cramped and my designer instinct was to draw up plans for a new more open design, hahahaha, but hey, we are on vacation. We would love to return again sometime.

Where do I begin? I loved the extra beach chairs, endless towels, view, location and so much more. Snorkeling right outside our balcony was amazing! It was a a great place to stay and I would stay here each time!

The views were spectacular! A few things in condo needed fixing and the Vacasa team was on it! The pull out mattress was terrible. Need to replace it!

The condo was great! The view amazing. There was a lot of space, the balcony was awesome. We saw some whales from the balcony. The only thing we could say is the fridge needs the shelf added where it is missing, the freezer is covered in condensation and leaks, there needs to be more Silverware and more pans.

Amazing Location, perfect for families
This condo is right on the beach. It worked perfectly for the 2 families (2 adults and 2 kiddos in each family). Since the patio overlooked the beach, we could keep an eye on the kids while relaxing. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, utensils, plates, etc.

You just can't beat the location, right on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing as a constant reminder of where you are. That and a parking lot right by the elevator. Close to all the restaurants and stores. We can't wait to stay here again.

The stairs going upstairs would be challenging, so don’t assign anyone that would have trouble climbing those stairs, especially because there isn’t a bathroom up there. Full size kitchen was great! Walking distance to the grocery store, some restaurants, and the food truck park. Away from the big touristy spots, so it was pretty low key and quiet. Loved this room. It was clean and comfortable. The stairs going upstairs would be challenging, so don’t assign anyone that would have trouble climbing those stairs, especially because there isn’t a bathroom up there. Full size kitchen was great! The view was unbelievable from the living room and the master, we saw whales everyday. Super close to the little private beach and pools. First Maui 2022 trip
You just can't beat the location, right on the beach with the sound of the waves crashing as a constant reminder of where you are. That and a parking lot right by the elevator. Close to all the restaurants and stores. We can't wait to stay here again.

Best Vacation of our Life
The room is absolutely fantastic. The large open doors that lead to the unobstructed views of the ocean are indescribable. Room was better than advertised: Bed and furniture were so comfortable could nap anywhere in the room after a day in the sun. Kitchen had everything to make your own meals and save a couple buck from eating out. Location is perfect. Beaches were never crowded, few steps to resort pools which were a blast. Bar/restaurant at resort had a great happy hour. This room/location had everything to where you didn't need to leave or go far to experience everything. Will def stay again, 5 out 5 stars!!

Looked at air handler and noted the air cleaner was being sucked into the return. The filter was filthy with thick dirt and dust and hair. It hadn’t been changed since January. VACASA was contacted 3 times in 9 days about the issue. Each time promises that it would get taken care of. Customer service always answered and apologized but it was never fixed. Only way I would stay here again is if VACASA wasn’t managing it.

The only issue we have found with this condo was no light on a balcony which made a difficult to enjoy this space after sundown. Clean beach towels whenever you want between 8am-5pm, means no laundry unless you want! A restaurant on the premise and many just across the street, also means you don’t have to cook unless you want. True vacation for this tired mama! The only negative was that there weren’t sheets for the pull out when we got there; but once Vacasa was made aware of the issue, the sheets were delivered. Thank you for a great stay!

Bathrooms have been updated, beds were real comfy, new fridge, TVs in every room, kitchen was stacked, beach towels for everyone, and AC worked great. The kids loved the upstairs bedroom. A few minor cons - living room furniture wasn’t the most comfortable, carpet could probably use updated and even though the beds were great, the pillows could’ve been better. Once again, none were dealing breakers though, just some improvement ideas. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

The views are absolutely incredible and we loved the resort - a couple of pools, really good bar/restaurant and essentially a private beach next door. Bathrooms have been updated, beds were real comfy, new fridge, TVs in every room, kitchen was stacked, beach towels for everyone, and AC worked great. The kids loved the upstairs bedroom. A few minor cons - living room furniture wasn’t the most comfortable, carpet could probably use updated and even though the beds were great, the pillows could’ve been better. Once again, none were dealing breakers though, just some improvement ideas. We’d stay here again in a heartbeat!

PERFECT views! LOVE this location!
We LOVED this balcony just above the beach and ocean. You’re just steps downstairs to the beach, and very close to the pool. The ice maker, starter bag of coffee, and chocolate macadamias are very nice amenities! This place is tired and could really use functioning locks on the patio doors, new carpeting that isn’t fraying, and a cooler and beach chairs would be greatly helpful to guests. Also, Vacasa isn’t easy to reach or get helpful answers from. My questions were met with unsure answers. If we had had any serious issues while there, I’m doubtful they would’ve been resolved. Even without needed updates, I think we would choose this condo again because of the location and VIEWS. I had considered renting #460 instead, but am so happy we picked #461 because the views are BETTER! We had a great time here. Thank you!

"Real Review For This Property"
Managed by Vacasa! Last 3 times I have rented from a unit by Vacasa the door code has not worked. I won't do it again. I have to call Vacasa to help me get in. Usually takes 30mins to 2 hours. Very annoying after a long flight.
When I choose a place to stay it's all about location. That is what drew my attention to this property. On a map and on the resort property it is an amazing unit. However, there is also reality.
The unit is on the corner of the property. Usually an amazing place to stay. However there is also only 2 smoking spots on the property. 1 is on the ground floor in the corner where the unit is located. The neighboring property also has their section right in the same spot. The smell carried up to the unit. Plus being right on the beach creates more noise from kids playing on the beach. At night and Early in the AM. The balcony is amazing though once your up. :)
Don't expect anything "Extra" with this unit. I've stayed at VRBO & AirBnB that give you beach chairs, binoculars, boogey boards & anything else you could use in the area.
The Kitchen is a let down. There are NO sharp knives and the pots and pans were probably picked up from goodwill. Simple things like mixing bowls are not in the unit. There are plenty of cups though. About 100 glass cups in the unit. If you only drink your meals this is the place for you. No blender to make your own blended drinks for smoothies. If your not using the kitchen for meals you'll be fine.
You have to pay $10 per person per day to use the sauna or the gym. Running outside on the Boardwalk is free.
Overall I felt like this unit is in a great location. Pricey for what you get. Look around in the area, lots of the local resorts this place included are listed for rent as well.
