Perfect location, cozy house, beautiful view. This was our second time at Aftermath and we stayed for four nights. Both of our stays were in December and both times we experienced rain as well as sunshine. This time we got one and a half good days of sunshine and the rest of the time it rained. We still took walks on the beach, and drove into town a couple of times. The location is perfect; close enough to town to get necessities, but far enough away for seclusion. The house is well set up for weather fluctuations; screens on the doors, good heaters, and a nice gas fireplace. The floor-to-ceiling windows on the east side of the house mean you always have a beautiful view of the ocean, no matter the weather. The cozy two-room house was a good size for my husband and I to share with my mother, but it might be a bit tight for two couples. Aftermath is an easy 10 minute walk to the beach, which our two medium sized dogs loved. Returning from the beach we were surprised to discover ticks on our dogs and on ourselves. Seemed late in the season for them. From then on we kept a sharp lookout and didn't allow any ticks to hitchhike a ride. Slight urine smell from previous pets in one of the bedrooms, but that's not unusual in a pet friendly property. I always bring room spray and a scented candle to rental properties just in case, and so all was well.

We’ve been coming here since 2009 and it is hands down, one of the best properties in Bodega Bay. The amenities, the views, the access to the beach and its location are second to none. We’ve been coming to Bodega Bay for years and this is, by far, our favorite place to stay.

I absolutely love Aftermath. The layout is perfect with two en suite bathrooms on either end of the house with the most fantastic great room in the middle. It doesn’t matter what the weather is outside because the view from the wall to ceiling windows overlooks the gorgeous Pacific ocean. It’s Comfortable and cozy. Beds, bathrooms and kitchen are all superb.Will make every effort to get back there sooner than I did this time! Can’t let 10 years go by!

Aftermath is a treasure - the view, the gardens, the indoor space. We feel spoiled getting to be here. We did have two concerns when we arrived. The outside east doors on both bedrooms were not latched - a problem we could solve by slamming both doors. We did not use the hot tub, but the jets seem to have been running the whole time we have been here and the dial in the kitchen is stuck.

The ONLY reason to give 4 stars instead of five- we knew there was no air conditioning, but there were no fans anywhere Therefore, no air movement. Had living room windows opened facing the water, it would have definitely helped. It was incredibly hot during afternoon hours. It did cool off by bedtime. I didn’t notice no washer or dryer-my fault. Other than that it was a lovely updated home with everything else we needed. Views were spectacular!

Aftermath is an amazing jewel! The family history is precious. We felt as though we were sharing a very privileged experience. Candidly, I was so sad to see the garden has not been cared for and the house keeping was less than par. Truly hope these issues are resolved.

Property was well kept up and view was spectacular. Mattress was a bit firm for me but not bad. Lots of beaches nearby and easy access to the town of Bodega Bay. Would love to rent again and bring older kids.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week here celebrating our anniversary. The courtyard and coast views are gorgeous. Cooking at home was great with the cookware at the house and even a martini glass for a cocktail. Quiet neighborhood and great walk to the beach. We've already booked another stay and will be bringing my wife's parents along.

This was our second time staying at this property. It is the perfect place to unplug and reset. We took long walks on the beach with our lab, picnicked on the sand, and watched perfect sunsets from the hot tub. I love this place and plan on making it an annual trip. We went here for my in-laws 61st wedding anniversary. We walked in and were amazed by the views. The house had everything we needed. Nice to have the bedrooms on opposite sides of the house. We can’t wait to stay here again!!

We stay in Bodega Bay every New Year’s weekend with champagne, Crab, Tri Tip and lots of goodies. This cabin has a wonderful view of the ocean and although the weather was a little stormy, it was warm and cozy. TV reception is OK, we were able to watch the football games at times. Would definitely come back!

The house is nicely decorated, very clean and inviting. What makes this property so special is the amazing views made possible by floor to ceiling windows facing the ocean. Also, the enclosed courtyard in the front of the house was perfect for our little dog to explore without my worrying he would run off. We’ll be back!!
