About this house rental
Nestled in Garden City, this attractive house for $412 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. YOU CAN'T BEAT THIS DEAL! It's like two homes for the price of one! A very well cared for and clean home just steps from the beach and seasonal oceanfront dining ON THE GRAND STRAND. Our main home upstairs has two bedrooms (1 king; 1 king and twin) and two full bathrooms; a washer and dryer; screened in deck; and an open floor plan including a fully stocked kitchen w/ island and dishwasher, dining area, and living room that comes with a queen sofa bed. The apartment/in-law suite downstairs has its own separate entrance, a king bedroom, full bathroom, fully stocked kitchen with island and dishwasher and a living room. Each floor is equipped with central air (w/ separate thermostats). And, YES, the quoted rate includes the rental of the entire house -- both up and down -- with the beds made and ready for you to relax! It's like two homes for the price of one! Sleeps 9 including sofa bed (sofa bed sheets and comforter provided in closet). But wait! There's more! Luxury linens and bath towels, beach chairs, and the golf cart are ALSO INCLUDED! The golf cart is approximately $350 if you had to rent it! Looking for that perfect beach house and/or golf getaway home in a private, gated resort? This is it...only a few miles from Myrtle Beach International Airport, steps from the beach, minutes from golf courses, and just down the street from Murrells Inlet & Pawleys Island to the south and Myrtle Beach to the north! There is FREE private beach front parking for guests in our community that choose to drive the car or golf cart to the beach and beachfront rest rooms and outdoor showers are bonus amenities for the residents and guests staying in our community. Our home includes high speed internet service, streaming (wireless) and cable (wired) TV's, a washer and dryer, linens & bath towels, and beach chairs -- all in a quiet, close-knit 180 acre village that is minutes from dining, shopping, miniature golf, movie theaters, jet skiing, kayaking and just about anything else you like to do on a beach vacation! You can relax on the big second floor screened in covered deck with plenty of furniture and a flat screen TV. In the carport area, there is an outside shower (with HOT and COLD water!) and storage for the provided beach chairs and toys. A Weber gas grill and propane are also provided for your convenience. Within our gated community, there are two outdoor pools and a 'mini' water splash park for the kids (seasonal) and a year-round indoor pool. All are sure to be a memory-makers! Oceanside Village also has a 16 person whirlpool next to the Hickory Grove pool. An activities center, tennis courts, pickleball, a basketball court, baseball field, playground, volley ball court, five stocked fishing ponds, horseshoe pits and bocce ball are also available onsite. You can enjoy the fitness center for an additional fee per week by signing up at the office onsite. Golf for an additional fee at the spectacular Tupelo Bay course is just 3 minute ride or 15 minute walk away...across the street from the main gate. Check out their Glow Golf or Foot Golf when available! Our golf cart is included with your rental for travel in Oceanside Village ONLY and for beachfront parking in the FREE Oceanside Village private parking area ONLY. *One (1) small dog under 20 lbs. is welcome. (An additional dog or larger dog may be considered at an additional fee.) Quoted rates are for renting the whole house (upstairs and downstairs). However, the lower-level and upper-level may rent separately for less $$ during slow seasons; providing you are OK with us renting the level you are not renting. RENTAL RATE INCLUDES DEPARTURE CLEANING! We welcome conversations by text, email or phone at anytime before, during and after your stay. We also schedule a brief "pre-stay" phone call with all of our new and returning guests! FYI: Short stays of 4 nights or less may be welcome at certain times of the year. ALSO, DURING SLOW SEASON YOU MAY RENT JUST THE UPSTAIRS OR DOWNSTAIRS – PROVIDING YOU DON’T MIND SOMEONE ELSE RENTING THE PART YOU HAVEN’T RENTED. FULL DISCLOSURE ON VIDEO SURVEILLANCE: for the protection of our home, we have three Blink video cameras OUTSIDE. One focused on the steps leading upstairs; one focused on the downstairs front and back door; and one focused on the side yard on the left side of our home (added April 14, 2021).

House was practically perfect. Comfortable beds, updated bathrooms and kitchen. Nice big screened in porch. Walking distance to the beach. Plenty of beach chairs, toys, boogie boards, and games. If only there was a fenced in yard for the dogs. There is a dog park nearby in the village and we liked the indoor pool

We were extremely impressed by the quality of the furnishings and accomodations. We had everything we needed and the place was extremely clean. Even the gas grill was spotless! Nancy and Bill were very responsive and communicative. The golf cart was a great add-on to our stay.

Nancy & Bill "Walking on Sunshine" House was Beautiful and stocked with everything we needed to make our vacation great for the week. With the house having a separate unit everyone had there own quiet time and then getting together with the cover porch and hanging out was enjoyable. We cooked and grilled alot and the kitchen had everything. Communication with Nancy was quick and very helpful. Having the Golf Carts made getting around the community easier going to the pool, beach and activities.

This was the perfect beach house for our family. Lots of room to spread out . We loved having 3 king beds as well as 3 bathrooms!This home is stocked with everything you need. Everything was wonderful. A beautiful fully stocked home with a downstairs apartment. Perfect for our family. Two places in one. Having the apartment downstairs was perfect for my mother and her boyfriend to have their own privacy from us and the kids. It was a very relaxing time. Will definitely recommend this place to anyone. And will keep it in mind for our future vacation needs.

Close proximity to a lot without being in our opinion close to hustle and bustle. It was walking distance to the beach and the indoor heated pool was the Bomb! The unit we stayed in had access to the upstairs unit with washer and dryer. Both units fabulously stocked. Make sure to check out what you have before you go to grocery store. Nancy Curry our host couldn't have been any more pleasant and accommodating to deal with even checking to see if we needed anything. All n All one of the best units we've ever stayed in. Only complaint little burs that get in dogs feet which our neighbor kindly warned us about! Full timers were also very nice and informative.

This was perfect for our group of 6. Lots of space to spread out, kitchen well stocked with cookware for family meals. Super clean and tastefully decorated. Love the porch! The location is fabulous...walk to the beach or ride in golf cart. Stores very close, state parks only a short ride away, golf right nearby. Fabulous for walking, hiking, fishing, birding, golfing, swimming...everyone had lots of fun. Super-friendly neighborhood. We couldn't have asked for a more convenient location! Loved it!

This was our third stay at Oceanside Village (Surfside Beach, SC), courtesy of the Currys. We keep coming back because the Currys make it so great--they're very responsive, and everything is so clean, well-organized, nicely decorated, etc. They enable you to enjoy a worry-free, stress-free family vacation.
This is truly a great deal, especially compared to my friend's recent house rental in North Myrtle Beach (very $$$$, no pool, no golfcart, blocks from the beach). Oceanside Village is a gated golfcart community with two pools (indoor and outdoor), across the street from the beach!
The Currys' home is a highly coveted vacation venue (173 reviews!), with many "return" guests like us, so you'll have to book in advance. I'd gladly go every year if the kids didn't insist on stressful tourist-trappy vacation destinations (e.g., Orlando).

The place was perfect. We rented two golf carts as we are all adults. The weather was perfect. The place was clean and roomy. We had our meals on the second floor deck. It was a wonderful experience. There is no exageration in the pictures. a greatfamily vacatiion in all. Would definitely return for the third time to Garden Cty

Perfect for our family
We had an absolute blast and this house was perfect for my family. Everything was very clean and the pictures are accurate. The carts made for easy access to and from the beach and pool. The shower at the house allowed us to
clean off before going inside. The downstairs apartment was great for family who were handicap. The screened in porch was good for hanging out in the evening as my children slept.
Nancy did a great job of communicating. She answered questions quickly and got things fixed when problems arose.
I highly recommend this house.

We had such a great time staying at “Walking on Sunshine”. Our hosts (homeowners) were amazing!! They brought us through the entire renting process prior to arrival to every last detail, having exceptional communication of what to expect, where to find local favorites but most of all they made our vacation a wonderful experience, being extremely responsive, efficient and so caring about our stay. The house is amazing! Very spacious, extremely convenient to the beach and all local attractions and did I say immaculate! It was such a pleasure staying here, the home is fully equipped with every last detail you can ever imagine your needs to be. Pack your clothes and toiletries and plan your stay, there is absolutely nothing you will need once you arrive. Loved the golf cart access and the option of renting two units in one, perfect for adult families who want separation and still travel together. The home is amazing, the hosts are phenomenal and extremely hospitable to your every need. We highly recommend staying here, we loved it and will return! Thank you Curry’s for sharing your home!

Not having visited surf side beach before, The number of restaurants is lower then you would find in Myrtle Beach. There are long lines everywhere you go to eat there. We wound up driving 5 miles each day to Murrells Inlet each day at 5:00 to eat dinner there. That worked out great since there are many fine choices.
