The property outside is nothing like the pictures shown. Maintenance is very much needed

A spacious, clean, uncluttered but very comfortable house in every respect - newly renovated bathrooms, well-equipped kitchen, plenty of living and dining space in addition to the bedrooms, plus two private outside patios. It was an easy place to call home for two weeks of combined remote work and vacation. New Suffolk is a great North Fork destination, separated from the main road by farms, and with its own small quiet beaches, back roads to walk and bike, and bay to kayak. The land across from the house is just woodland, making for a very peaceful location. Bj was great to communicate with, including accommodating schedule changes on my end, and quick help with questions about details of the house and town. Absolutely planning on a return.

This is a very nice house with nice amenities and a great layout. The location is very convenient to lots of wineries, restaurants and beaches in the area. The owner was very easy to deal with, offered great suggestions and was very responsive. The only feedback I will give is that the house is on somewhat of a busy road which has a good amount of traffic during certain parts of the day. This made it tough for my young daughter to nap as she was frequently awoken by big trucks going by. I only say this as I think it would helpful for other parents of small children.

We had a relaxing and very comfortable 4-day stay at the New Suffolk house on the North Fork of Long Island. The cottage appears cozy from the outside -- but has an airy, roomy feeling with high ceilings and skylights inside. Our hosts provided complete details about everything guests need to know regarding wineries (400 vineyards!), walks (to the beach, only 4 blocks away) and restaurants -- and we were greeted with a bottle of sparkling wine and chocolates. The house was nicely appointed with all amenities and provided 4 bedrooms and 2 baths. One of the things we enjoyed most was taking the car on the ferry to Shelter Island and cruising the serpentine roads which encircle it. We also hiked the 2,000 acre Mashomack Preserve which offers 1.5-mile to 8-mile hikes and an interesting visitors center. We sampled several excellent vintners and dined at 2 or 3 very good restaurants, including A Mano in Mattituck for dinner and Love Kitchen (also in Mattituck) for breakfast. The area is quietly beautiful with farmers fields, vineyards, woods and inlets. This is a very pleasant change from The Hamsters on the South Fork and we very highly recommend this cottage.

We have been renting on the Northfork for over ten years. This is the first home we are booking a year in advance for 2015 summer vacation. The house is in a centrally located area of the north fork. Close to two 18 hole golf courses..Cherry Creek in Riverhead and Islands End in Greenport..and for the novice a 9-hole golf course literally around the corner. The small sandy beach is a few blocks away with a lifeguard. Vineyards surround New Suffolk. The house layout is great...bedrooms and kitchen at one end and living area down the other side. So if you have an early sleeper, won't hear the tv. The beds are extremely comfortable...tons of linens, blankets etc. The kitchen is fully stocked..cooked home every night from Lobsters to BBQ, which is brand new. The bathrooms were supplied with a fresh bar of soap and even a blow dryer. We went to Sag Harbor one night for a play. Easy to get to...greenport ferry thru Shelter Island to the south ferry to Sag Harbor. Took around 40 minutes.
You won't be disappointed with this rental. There is something for everyone!!
BJ couldn't have been more accommodating. Ran out of propane..there was a second one..emailed him with any questions, he was extremely responsive.

This New Suffolk rental is just as described. The pictures are deceiving, as there is really a lot of room to spread out in the home, but the house looks quite small on the outside. The unit was clean and well maintained. The host was attentive and accommodating. We had everything necessary for our 2 week stay. We enjoyed New Suffolk beach the most of any we visited, and we only noticed officers checking beach stickers once over the weekend we were there. Mostly we had the beach to ourselves Monday through Friday. We chose to drive to the beach mostly because New Suffolk Road is rather busy, and there isn't a sidewalk to pull a wagon or push a carriage. We easily made the walk to Old Cove Yacht Club a couple of times a day where the pup had her swim. Even the neighbor was nice. She brought us fresh cut flowers to enjoy during our stay. New Suffolk is by far our favorite location on the North Fork. All wineries and other attractions are easily accessed. My sister joined us from NYC using the Hampton Jitney. We picked her up in the center-2 or 3 minutes. We went to the library, visited the cute ice cream shop with toys, and went to the New Suffolk July 4th parade. We hope to visit again next year.
Thanks!

The house is very comfortable, well laid out and with a warm feeling so it was great for a get together with my adult children and their partners. Our host was extremely hospitable in providing info about wineries, beaches, restaurants and other local knowledge which really enhanced the week. Also the house was much better equipped with the essentials such as soaps, paper towels and kitchensupplies than are most rentals and that made life much easier.

Came to this beautiful house to celebrate a few 50th birthday celebrations with very close friends. We really enjoyed it...the ambiance was beautiful and it had everything we wanted and then some. The host was very informative and thoughtful throughout the whole reservation process up to our stay. We loved the New Suffolk neighborhood and the location close to the water, wineries, breweries and Greenport. Will definitely be back!

Stayed here with two other couples and had an incredible weekend. The house was well appointed, clean and spacious. It is centrally located to many wineries, great restaurants, and local villages. The neighborhood itself is beautiful, with beach views at almost every corner and wooded land right across the street from the house. As mentioned in other reviews, BJ was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable during our stay, which included a welcome letter with local recommendations as well as a bottle of wine. Definitely plan to return here!

We are three couples who were celebrating turning 50, and chose to stay here for a wine tasting weekend. This place was even better than the pictures showed. It was immaculate and very well appointed. The location was perfect, just a walk to the beach, and a convenient drive to several wineries and excellent dining choices. The space was roomy, comfortable and bright. The owner was extremely responsive and accomodating. I cannot say enough about this property. I will definitely be coming back with my family, sometime in the near future.

I booked this home for a group of 8 women for a Bachelorette weekend and was so happy with the place. The home itself is beautiful - hardwood floors, nice large kitchen, great sunlight, and all felt very newly renovated and very clean. We enjoyed cooking a couple meals at the place, as well as taking walks in the area, and relaxing in the large and comfortable living room. It's also very conveniently located for access to local wineries. Most of all, the host was incredibly helpful throughout the booking process, providing great recommendations for local restaurants, wineries, and activities.

Amazing house in the
We stayed in this charming house for an extended weekend to just get away from the city and it was wonderful! It is MUCH bigger than the pictures would show.
BJ & Jill were very helpful and very responsive to all our questions and concerns and called once or twice to make sure we were comfortable and everything was good.
the location was perfect for us, close to the water (REALLY PRETTY BEACH VERY CLOSE), short drive to many vineyards and easy to get to....
My girlfriend and I are 100% going to be renting a long weekend again - summer or early fall (we went late fall) as they said the leaves look amazing out there....
The house was clean, comfortable and very inviting and the bottle of local wine they left for us was a really nice, classy touch!
