Nestled in Sint Maarten, this lovely villa for $686 per night is a fantastic choice for your next trip. Incredible panoramic views of the Caribbean and St. Barts! The Jewel has been completely renovated. Now the Jewel has a 5th bedroom and bath with its own entrance for grandparents or those wishing more privacy from the group.We do not rent this studio separately but do include it in the 5 bedroom price. The studio has one queen and a set of bunk beds. The 4 master bedrooms have king beds one with an additional queen futon sleeper. Villa Caribbean Jewel is located in the exclusive gated community of Tamarind Hill Estates on the Dutch side of the island near the French/Dutch border. A few minutes drive to Dawn Beach, Orient Beach, and Guana Bay Beach. Numerous outstanding restaurants 2 minutes away. Ten-Fifteen minutes away from the Dutch capital of Philipsburg and shopping. This luxury Mediterranean-style villa features remote controlled gated entry, lush gardens, extensive balconies and terraces, and a private pool with a disappearing edge.The entire villa can be rented with one, two, three,or four master bedroom suites featuring king sized beds, private balconies, air conditioning, and in-suite baths. We have added a 5th bedroom studio apartment with a kitchen. 5.5 total baths to accommodate 13 guests with an additional sleeper futon in one of the bedrooms. We have a portacrib for our little guests. Each bedroom has a beautiful view of the Caribbean with views of other caribbean islands. Ursula our housekeeper who resides on the property in a separate discreet apt. is available for all your questions and needs. She will escort you from your car rental to the beautiful Caribbean Jewel. Yes we have a BACKUP GENERATOR that runs the entire villa during a power loss so you never miss a day of paradise. The views from this property are absolutely stunning and the house had plenty of space for our extended family of 12 to hang out when we weren’t out exploring the island. We enjoyed the pool, the views and most of all the amazing Ursula’s meals she cooked for us on a few nights when we were gone all day on excursions. It was nice having dinner taken care of when we were all tired and didn’t feel like going out to dinner. She was great about answering any questions we had throughout our stay. Ginny had excellent communication before and during our stay (though we had issues with our phones working on the island so I didn’t get the messages from her until we were home, but we did get a few through Ursula while we were there. 😅)
Our only issue (and this may just be us as we are Texans used to our A/C) is that the main part of the house got incredibly warm and a few of us got physically ill due to being hot. The bedrooms have A/C, but not the main part of the house. I think we just had bad luck with there not being much of a breeze during our stay, because we had one day that the breeze was great and the house stayed comfortable. We also got eaten alive by mosquitoes, but I think it was due to no breeze (which from what I understand is not the norm.) These things wouldn’t keep me from coming back, but I wanted to note them in case it helps others be better prepared than we were.

Our family stayed a week at the Jewel. The house was exactly as advertised and we all had great time. Ursula and Gizmo are a must while staying at the property. Ursula helped us with any questions and recommendations. She also cooked for us a couple of times and it was wonderful. Gizmo, our driver for the week was very punctual and full of information. We had 3 teenage ladies with us and he meshed with them very well. Ginny was very responsive to any needs and questions. She had a very detailed tip sheet to help with all the decisions. Again, I can’t say enough about the property. We will be back!!

We had an amazing trip, and the views of this property are beyond spectacular!! Cliche as it may sound, but the pictures do not do it justice as actually being there. In addition to the views, the highlight was also having Ursula and Gizmo!! Can’t say enough about these two beautiful and amazing people. Ursula made the most delicious meal for us the 1st night, and checked in with us every day making sure everything was okay or if we needed anything. And Gizmo truly made our trip exceptional and memorable with his availability, timeliness, and all his recommendations, not to mention his charming personality and sense of humor!! And Ginny was wonderful, easy to communicate with, and was always quick with responding. Would definitely recommend this property!!

It was more breathtaking than the pictures and descriptions. It was absolutely a wonderful time. The housekeeper was magnificent and available for accompanying us around the island to show us all the places to go as well as going to the market with us. Without her we would have never gotten around as well as we did. The view of the ocean from the balconies or from the pool just allowed your mind to leave everything behind. The communication with the host was great as well. Cant say enough about it. Definitely paradise!

This house is exactly what we were looking for! The views and ocean breeze are amazing. All long beds with private bathrooms made it just as comfortable for our guests as it was for us. The icing on the cake was definitely Gizmo and Ursula’s hospitality. We were chauffeured all around the island and made to feel so welcome. We can’t wait to return!!

The views in this house our unbelievable and never get old. The home is comfortable and welcoming but doesn’t compare to how welcomed Ursula made our family feel. It is clean and very well stocked with all the important necessities. The bedroom and beds are amazing. Look no further this is the vacation home dreams are made of. Also make sure you ask if Ursula can cook for you it will be the highlight of your vacation!!! We will be returning to this property! Thanks so much for sharing your wonderful home.

I don't know where to start. This was the perfect house for our family of 10. Ginny was so easy to work with and her response time was always quick. The property had a beautiful view of the ocean. The bedrooms were very spacious. There were plenty of towels including beach towels. The kitchen was very well stocked. There is air conditioning in all the bedrooms. Ursula cooked us a few meals which were amazing. You must try her quiche. She even brought up muffins one day just as a nice gesture. She kept the place tidy and took great care of us. We hired Gizmo for the week and it was a great decision. It was great not having to navigate the roads and he was available whenever we needed him and was always on time. He and Ursula are true gems. We fell in love with St. Martin, and a lot of it had to do with Ginny and her house, Ursula, and Gizmo! We will be back!

I dont know where to start with the Jewel. This property has everything you could ask for. From the moment of booking, Ginny was an incredible host providing amazing communication, tips, recommendations and was SO quick to answer any of our questions. Ursula greeted us on arrival with a gorgeous and clean property and all of the doors and windows open so we immediately felt the Caribbean breeze. Each morning Ursula asked if there was anything she could do for us, she is such a kind soul. Even when we had a little wifi issue upon arrival, Ursula assured us she had it taken care of and it was up and running in no time. On top of that, Ginny called to check in (on her own vacation!) and make sure everything was okay and we were settled in. Now onto Gizmo… what can we even say! Gizmo was absolutely one of the highlights of our trip and made all of our transportation needs INCREDIBLY easy. From numerous airport runs to daily adventures, Gizmo was so attentive and patient, always willing to drop whatever he was doing to come pick us up with only a few minutes notice. No need to rent a car when you have Gizmo, he was outstanding. The house and views were gorgeous, but the location is a little bit of a drive to certain places (again, not a problem when you have Gizmo). Overall this was an amazing trip made easy by Ginny, Urusula and Gizmo. We can’t thank you all enough!

From the moment we made our reservation, the information was flowing for car rental, restaurants, beaches, directions, and suggestions to ensure our vacation was enjoyable and memorable. Ursula was very accommodating and a good cook. She took us food shopping, made us guacamole, bar-be-que chicken and arranged for us to have massages at the house. She was full of stories and made us laugh.

Everything about this property and house was amazing! Every morning I woke up at 7am to take a dip in the pool and enjoy the spectacular views of the ocean and St Barts among other islands out in the distance! The house was very clean and spacious! The host Ursula was so sweet and made sure we had everything we needed!
The owner of the house also suggested that we could hire a driver that she knows named Gizmo , so we took advantage of that and I have to say he was on point! Gizmo so informative of things to do and places to go and we never had to wait for his arrival as he was always on time!
Our entire vacation was amazing from enjoying the stay at the house to all the beaches and restaurants we went to! I would highly recommend renting this property and enjoying a wonderful getaway to St Martin!

We had a wonderful time staying in this property. Our experience started at the minute when I booked it on VRBO. Ginny, the owner has been very helpful in answering our questions and giving us tips of where to go. The house is exceptional! Beautiful ocean views from every corner of the house. Safe neighborhood and Ursula keeps the house super clean. Oh, Ursula! What a genuine and kind soul. Her hospitality and wonderful cooking made us feel home. And she’s always made sure that we were comfortable by giving us our privacy. An additional friend we made during this stay is Gizmo who doesn’t live on the property and he’s always approachable when we needed a ride. If we knew how good his service was, we would have used him for the week instead of renting a car. Next time! We’ll be back.

Our stay was great. Ginny was responsive to us when I called about us coming to Saint Maartan because of blizzard in Iowa and gave us ideas where to stay a few days early. Ursula was very helpful and suggested places to visit. Ursula cooked us a fabulous Christmas Eve Dinner and muffins. Our house was great. The rooms were roomy and clean. Our family said it was so much better than staying on a resort. They had privacy in their rooms and enjoyed the common area of kitchen, dining and family room where we could join and visit. Nice area and table to visit outside. Gizmo drove us a few times and he was so fun and very informative.
Our stay was very memorable and would recommend highly to friends and family.

Booked in July for early December for my husbands 50th. Ginny was an excellent communicator. Any questions she answered and gave us a ton of information about the island such as suggestions where to go, great restaurants, beaches etc.
We met Ursula upon arrival she was wonderful. She will drive with you to the grocery store or to the beach., wherever you want to go. Or she will simply give you directions if needed. She’s truly a gem. She offered to clean for us while there but we were fine. She certainly does a great job.
The views are spectacular. The bedrooms, all with king size beds are such an island feel and cozy. Truly loved everything. I highly recommend this place but I hope they have room when we want to go back in the future. Thank you for a perfect location for 6 of us for my husbands 50th. Had a great, relaxing time.

A very nice stay at the Jewel. The property is well situated on for day trips to either side of the island. The jewel is nicely appointed and provided everything we needed for a family of six adults! The crown on the Jewel is no doubt Ursula who took us in, and provided just the right amount of attention. She cooked some fantastic meals for us after long days on charters or at the beach and showed us around Philipsburg to ensure that we visited the best local spots. We rented a van for the week that made getting around the island easy. The weather was great and the Jewel didn’t disappoint!

Beautiful House
House is large, everyone had plenty of space. Bedrooms are big! The view is the best! Plenty of towels, pool chairs, loungers, kitchen gadgets. The bedrooms have air conditioning but the main part of the house does not. However, there is always a big breeze coming through the house, which is so nice and comfortable! There are so many beaches and restaurants to explore.

Relaxing, Reconnect with Friends & Family
First of all Ginny the owner is amazing with communicating and very quick to respond. Ginny was very patient with us as we were having trouble getting everyone to commit due to jobs, scheduling and of course Covid 🙃.
The house is perfect just as the pictures show. The bedrooms are huge, 1 main level and 3 upstairs (we didn’t see the 5th on the lower level). And all the bedrooms have amazing breezes for sleeping at nite. The rooms have A/C but why would you use it?
The kitchen is Stocked with everything you could imagine .. you can cook for days!
You are close to the French side and there are now Large Grocery stores on both sides of the island so you could stock the kitchen and never leave the house. Plenty of dining seating indoors and out.
Another big plus.. there is comfy plush furniture.
So if you happen to get rain (we had 3 days) there is enough room for all to cozy up and watch movies or spend your day reading/relaxing in your room.
The pool was a blessing with plenty of oool chairs and the view of St Barth was stunning every morning as the sun rose.
Ursula who lives on the property was always a Happy Hello when she appeared. It was nice that she was there to help us when we needed her and answer any questions.

The house was beautiful and as described, we loved it. Ursula who is the housekeeper was the BEST..one night we gave her money for food and she cooked up an great dinner. The only odd Is that it's very windy by the pool area I think the owner Ginny should have a heated pool so you can enjoy day and night. We use Gizmo who was the driver very pricey for the limited places he took us. Other then that I enjoyed my birthday vacation here and had no issues getting in contact with the owner whom was very sweet. I would definitely visit again

This home is not only beautiful, but super clean. The views are incredible from every room. I had my morning coffee in the pool every morning looking out at St Barts. It was the most amazing way to start a day. Ursula, the housekeeper/care taker of the property was an absolute Sweetheart! I saw some negative reviews about her and I can't believe that they are about the person that we met. Makes me question the guests who left such a horrible review. Ursula was so personable. She cooked us dinner twice during our stay and it was awesome!!!! Ginny, the property owner helped us through the process of getting on the island with COVID restrictions. She was so friendly and helpful guiding us through the process. I would highly this property!

This year I decided to host Friendsmas 2019 in Sint Maarten with some close friends. First, hiring a car is a must if staying on this side of the island. Most of the trips we made were between 15 to 45 mins. Unfortunately, the french side was closed due to protests and riots which kinda messed up the trip. We made the best of it tho! If you are visiting the dutch side, be sure to have no plans of going to the French side when such things are going on. Second, I arrived a day late, but Mrs. Ginny allowed my friends to enter the home. That was a major life saver and I thank Mrs. Ginny whole heartedly. According to my friends Ms. Ursula wasn't the warmest as described in other reviews. I was told she works at another property and she let it be known to the rest of my party before I arrived. As a healthcare professional, I understand being overworked and caring for multiple patients, but I do so with a smile and with no excuse regarding how tired I am. Despite that she was responsive to my calls regarding operation of the electronics and a leak of unknown origin. Third, the bedrooms are great for privacy from other quests and very spacious. Beds are very comfortable! There were no small face cloths in any of the rooms, but I brought some from home for everyone. Lastly, initially we requested to use the apartment downstairs , but a friend was unable to come. I decided to take a peek at the room and it is in need of some serious airing out/cleaning. The room itself was clean, but it feels like a dank cellar and smells like mold/mildew. Thankfully we didn't need the room. Overall, the property is beautiful and the view is amazing! I would book again and recommend to friends and family.
