This true west coast gem and long-time favourite of renters, the Tofino View House is a luxurious oceanfront home with custom interior design, featuring 9 ft. ceilings, rough cut timber framing, wide plank fir flooring, heated slate flooring, large gourmet kitchen with stainless steel appliances and a large, private, water-facing deck with hot tub. The Tofino View House is conveniently located within 2 km of the town of Tofino and 2 km of world-renowned Chesterman Beach (2 min drive). The home is pet friendly (upon request). Organized events and parties are prohibited, including weddings and wedding receptions. My family and I stayed at this home over the holidays and we were so happy with the experience. The kitchen was SO fully stocked for preparing and serving Christmas dinner that my chef husband even impressed! The beds were cozy, we had plenty of firewood for a Christmas Day fire and we appreciated the mud room since it was a stormy few days. We loved that the brewery was across the street for a quick Boxing Day outing and we ended each evening with a dip in the hot tub before bed. This house has everything you could ask for and more!

This is our third (?) time staying at the Whale House (which is what we think it should be called). We keep coming back since it’s a perfect spot for a 2-family vacation. Love the hot tub and the well-stocked kitchen!

This place was amazing for a group a friends! Walking distance to town and close to the beaches. We couldn't have asked for a better spot and the place was equipped with everything we needed and more!!

This was our second time staying at this property, Peter is very responsive, the house was clean and stocked with kid plates/bowls etc which was a great touch ( we had three young kids with us). great views of the water and walking distance to the brewery, distillery, and Fish Store where we got fresh crabs and scallops. We’ll definitely be back :)

Thank you to Peter for a wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Tofino. The home is very comfortable and well-appointed for a vacation stay. Our group of family and friends had a wonderful time spotting an eagle, watching the stars, and having great meals on the deck. Could not have been better.

Just a great spot and lovely home to relax with family. Spectacular views from the home and deck and hot tub. Fully equipped with everything needed and owner was a friendly welcome guide all along the way from booking to arrival. Would come back for sure.

We gladly returned to this quiet, peaceful and very comfortable property on the outskirts of Tofino. Access to a couple great places like the brewery, distillery,Toki Doki and the fish store are easily walkable. The house is very comfortable for our family and communication with the owner was easy and very clear. We have stayed at this property before, a few years ago, and we think that the owners have changed. There have been small and subtle improvements since we last stayed and we will be booking for our family again.

We loved staying here for our family Thanksgiving get together. The house is a great size for an extended family and is incredibly well set up. The beautiful views and prime location close to town and Chesterman's Beach are fantastic.

We absolutely loved Peter's house! The house itself is beautiful, spacious, comfortable and clean. We also loved the furnishings and decorative elements in the house. The location is wonderful - gorgeous view, surrounded by woods, very quiet and very close to Tofino. It's just a short walk to the Tofino Brewing Company and a great fish store. The house had extensive cookware and utensils for making our meals, and we ate on the beautiful deck to enjoy the wonderful views. Communications with Peter were great, and all instructions were very clear. We would be back here in a flash!

What an amazing home. The property is stunning and the sunrises and sunsets gorgeous. This was the best equipped vacation home I have ever stayed in - there was nothing we needed that it didn’t have. Not to mention loads of space for us to spread out. The heat lamp on the deck meant we could enjoy the evenings as the sun went down and stay warm when having morning coffee looking out across the inlet to Meares island. Our entire group left happy, relaxed and more than a little sad to be saying goodbye to one of the most beautiful destinations in BC. We will definitely return!

Spectacular experience
It’s probably our 10th return to the Tofino View House, and it yet again exceed our expectation. The owner had updated the furnishing, added many arts work, brand new high quality bedding and towels, new appliances……. All made it the best visit ever. The whole back to the house is just glass facing out onto the water. Absolutely spectacular! Tofino will always be in my heart and if I ever make it back there someday I would hope to stay in this location again. The in-deck hot tub is huge! The kitchen is completely kitted out with all you need. The owner is super friendly and very responsive. If I could give this property 10 stars it still wouldn’t be enough.

Lovely family friendly home
This home was in a great location and was perfectly laid out for two couples and our small children. The kitchen was well equipped for eating in, there are two lounge areas, and the bedrooms are bright and comfortable. The location on the inlet and close to town was quiet and convenient. We would happily return.

Pete's place is truly fantastic and even better in person. The location is perfect, the furnishings and decor were both beautiful and cozy, and we had lots of space for our family of six. The ability to hop right onto the multi-use trail at the end of the driveway was so great and easy to bike down to the local grocery store or up into town and having the beach out front was a great place to turn over rocks and look for animals with our toddler while our baby napped inside.
We will be back to enjoy this space again I'm sure!

This house has a great west coast homey feel right on the inlet in a super quiet spot. It’s very convenient to get anywhere you would need to go. Peter is very responsive and willing to do whatever it takes to make sure you enjoy your stay. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend!

The home is VERY well equipped, with a wonderful kitchen adjacent to the family room with the wood-burning fireplace.
Peter, our host, was very communicative and any needs were promptly addressed (gourmet firewood!). We highly recommend this accommodation and look forward to our stay again next year!

We have been coming up to Tofino for over 30 years now, and have almost exclusively stayed at Chesterman Beach beach-front accommodations. We decided to try the inlet side this year, and were pleasantly surprised as to the views and serenity with this accommodation.

We had a lovely week at Tofino View House enjoying the area and the views. The house was very comfortable with plenty of room for our family of four. It’s as depicted in the photos and has a lovely view of Meares Island (quite enjoyable when soaking in the hot tub!). We enjoyed walking along the beach and looking for crabs. It’s well located just outside of town and is an easy 5 minute drive to “downtown” or a quick 5-15 min drive to any of the beaches. Highly recommend and look forward to returning to Tofino!
