This place was a dream. It was clean, full of games and activities, clean jacuzzi and hot tub, beautiful sauna, nice camp fire area, barn fire on the balcony, we loved the theater, and they even had an Xbox for us to play. The kitchen was fully stocked what everything you needed, and they provided pop corn and s’mores ☺️
Also, the place is only 45 minutes from the casino! 🎰
The owners were very thorough with their instructions and expectations. I say make sure you ready the directions to get to the cabin before heading there. You may not have service on the mountain at all. Their WiFi worked perfectly.
Overall this place was a AMAZING! We definitely will be booking again.

We could not have been happier with our whole experience of the cabin. There is so much to keep the whole family entertained. Our stay was amazing.

The drive to get to the cabin is an adventure in and of itself - beautiful sights, narrow gravel roads - all leading to the gates of this property all decorated for Christmas. Myself and three friends plan a cabin trip every year in the fall - we're looking to cook awesome food, play cornhole, make smores and generally hang out. This place provided all that and more. The kitchen was surprisingly well stocked, the grill was remarkably clean, and other than a couple small hiccups, the stay was one of our favorites.
The host isn't lying when they say no cell reception, though the provided internet service was sufficient for our desires. Be prepared for a lot of labels and warnings about taking care of things - it was a bit of a laugh for us at first, but I think it adds to why the provided kitchen utilities were as well cared for as they were.
Host was very responsive via text.

This house is truly a gem in North Carolina! Overlooking Fontana Lake, the view is magnificent along with hearing just the sounds of nature. The house is well-equipped with everything you could possibly need, as well as things we didn’t know we needed! The home is spacious, clean, nicely furnished & very comfortable. Home came with paper goods, spices, toiletries & several hair dryers. Lots of things to do from games such as corn hole, pool, ping-pong, shuffleboard, basketball, a pontoon boat, kayaks, canoe, movie room with many choices to view, or just relax by the fire pit & enjoy the stars! The owner, Gaylene, was a pleasure to deal with. Such a peaceful, relaxing place to enjoy time with family or friends. I would highly recommend it

We have stayed 3 times at this property and each time has been absolutely fantastic!
The home is beautiful and very relaxing. It sits on the lake but does not overlook any other property and is very secluded. Access to the lake is very easy and the boat that is offered is great to see the lake. If you rent this home, you have to rent the boat as well. Fontana Lake is the most beautiful lake in the Smokies.
I'll be back!!!

Beautiful home with everything you could need for a week away! Felt spacious even with use of each bedroom! We enjoyed watching a college football game in the movie theater and cooking with all the amenities you’d find at home (food processor, slow cooker, kitchen gadgets, etc). Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a week long stay in paradise!

Great vacation home. Lots to do. We had a hot week and enjoyed just floating in the lake. Really had fun playing ping pong and corn hole. Thought we wouldnt utilize the theater room but ended up watching 2 movies. It was a great vacation just spending time relaxing .

This property has everything you can ask for. We enjoyed family time in the lake and the boat. Quiet evenings by the fire playing board games, shooting pool, ping pong or watching a family movie. This property didnt disappoint. We also enjoyed star gazing at night on the dock. Beds were comfortable, check in/out easy and owner was easily accessible. This is a place to go if you want to enjoy what nature has to offer. Restaurants and shopping are a good 20-30 mins away in mtn roads. Well worth the trip and hope to be back again.

We spent a week here with friends . The house is perfect every way , The Kitchen has everything you can ask for . Very spaces we had 14 in our group and we didn’t feel crowded. The location is awesome , very peaceful . Spent all day on the water or on the back decks . We had s’mores at the fire pit . Dinners outside on deck , Summer times the pontoon boat is a must have . We did kayaking and paddle boarding every day . We only left one time for a hike . Really secluded and that is we were looking for . Fontana lakes one of the most beautiful lakes I ever been to! We will be definitely returning .Thanks again for letting us enjoy this beautiful home and disconnect from the every day life ! Annamaria. 8/5/23-8/12/23

Although there had been some unfortunate tree damage to porch the house was well kept and very well stocked for general needs. Beautiful setting . Owner did let me know of the tree damage to porch and a temporary fix was in place. House is spacious and graciously furnished. Great few days in a very peaceful place.

Everything was great. No problems with anything.

This is by far the nicest cabin we have stayed at, and we have stayed at several. The cabin is large, and there is so much to do in and outside the cabin. It is like your own self-contained resort.
We found the cabin to be very clean and quiet. The host is very responsive.
The location is gorgeous, though it is fairly remote (we like that). There are a lot of hiking opportunities in the area. Robinsville is about 25 min away and has a Walgreens and a surprisingly nice grocery store.
We stayed at another cabin in Tennessee on the way home. Even though it was nice, it felt like a step down after staying at the Fontana Lake cabin.

Overall, the place was fantastic. Secluded enough to feel at peace, but not so far as to make travel there difficult.
Very clean, well kept and spacious.
My only negative statements would be that the ice making machine was quite dirty, which was offputting, and that stormy conditions can easily knock out the power. (However it was restored quickly boths times it went out)
Overall 5 stars, because both of those things were small and not impactful to our stay

Owner is quick to respond and has truly thought of everything. Over the last 10 years we have rented numerous cabins and this is by far the best one yet. We can not wait to return.
