We spend a gorgeous week at Crescent Lake - brought our own kayaks and used the canoes provided, spent a lot of time on the dock and in the water. The spot is private and boats tend to buzz the other side of the lake because this side is quite shallow, so that was also nice - you can see them go by, but you can float around without having to get out of the way. It's located close to hiking and towns, so we could go exploring off the property easily.

We had a great stay! Perfect location on beautiful Crescent lake. Surrounded by tall pines, bald eagles flying overhead and listening to loons throughout the day. The cabin is very roomy and clean. All amenities were updated. Short trip to the coast to visit Kennebunkport or outlets of Freeport. Convenient location in Raymond with access to rent SUP's or a pontoon boat on Lake Sebago. Definitely on our list of do again vacation destinations.

We loved our stay in Raymond! It’s a beautiful house on beautiful property. The cell service is not great so he prepared for that! The wireless didn’t work for the first couple days but the owner was very accommodating and communicated clearly with us and got it fixed as soon as she could!

My wife and I have enjoyed several stays at this log home on Crescent Lake. On two occasions, we’ve invited friends from Europe to join us. And a few years ago we had a handful of our oldest friends meet there for a 30 year college reunion. What keeps us so enthusiastic about coming back and about sharing this place with our friends is the fact that it doesn’t feel like a “rental”. As soon as we arrive, the house feels like a home, and everybody we’ve been there with feels equally comfortable as soon as they walk in the door. Since I really enjoy being outdoors, I’m never at a loss for things to do in Raymond. Crescent lake is the perfect size for casual trips in either of the two canoes that have always been down by the dock. Not everybody has been up for a climb to the summit of Rattlesnake Mountain. But I’ve tried to make it a daily routine and gotten some magnificent photos from its overlooks that face at least four of the region’s lakes. Everybody I’ve been there with has especially enjoyed gathering on the screened-in porch for meals and for conversation. The younger kids have spent hours searching for minerals in the crushed granite drive that leads down to the house. And they just loved the nearby Maine Wildlife Park. My wife’s absolute favorite memory is the sound of the loons, especially at night. I’m not much of a TV enthusiast, myself. But everybody else was impressed by the cable service that seemed to offer just about every channel that they could ask for. Day or night, I personally prefer watching nature unfold at the end of the exceptionally spacious dock. This year, we arrived in the off-season and were delighted to be there for the onset of autumn color. At times, we felt like we were the only people on the entire lake and the tranquility was an added bonus to our stay. We brought our own kayaks this time, and after a little trial and error managed to navigate all the way from the log home into Sebago Lake! It’s an all-day trip, and I wouldn’t recommend it to the casual paddler. But for any serious kayaker or canoeist who doesn’t mind a couple of short portages, it’s an exceptional run! Thanks for another memorable vacation. And we’ll look forward to coming back next year!

My girlfriends and I stayed here for a girls retreat. It was perfect. I brought my yellow lab and had a blast. She swam in the water jumping off the dock and drying in the sun. The kitchen had everything we needed and there was always plenty of hot water for everyone. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the home was much larger in person than the pictures could really show. It had such great details in railings and fireplace, antique mirrors and large bedrooms, plenty of woods for my dog to explore and dock space to accommodate all of us lounging in the sun. I highly recommend this LLBean catalog home! The owner was very friendly and accommodating and you can tell she takes great pride in her property. It's large enough to accommodate 3+ families for a group vacation. I'll be back with my husband and two other couples in 2015. He'll love the fishing!

My family spent a wonderful week at this very special log home. The house is a grand structure with plenty of living space and bedrooms to fit everyone. We (including the dog) appreciated the spacious, private setting. The kitchen was well supplied with cooking necessities, but we were unable to use the gas grill. There were several steps down to the water. These were mostly enjoyed by our 5 yr old grandson as his personal stair master. Ah youth! The lake is a dream. We explored it and fished from my son's canoe outfitted with electric motor. Often spotted the Bald Eagles. Good hiking nearby. On a rainy day we sought the comfort of the living room and watched 4 episodes of Dexter.

I have had the good fortune of staying at this lovely camp...OK...house of the lake on 2 separate occasions. I must say that I have thoroughly enjoyed both times that I stayed there. The lake is calm and is great to canoe on. One of my favorite memories of the my stay involved a race around the island from the dock and back. It still brings a smile to my face even today when I think about it. The camp/house is spacious and beautiful and would be a great place to spend a week on an annual basis. I highly recommend anyone to contact the owner to reserve their stay! As a sidenote, if you like hiking, I am told there is a great trail nearby.
