About this house rental
Just steps from the beach. Downstairs unit in a stacked duplex. The kitchen and living room open up to the front patio where you can grill, have breakfast, watch your kids, before heading to the races or the beach. Local owners. Don't be surprised if we walk down to share a sunset toast. Now an expected tradition with the many families that annually come back and why the dates available are limited. Kitchen – Completely supplied for you to cook indoors or bring everything outside to grill in your own outdoor Patio dining space Parking – 2 spots, a big deal when you are in the heart of Del Mar Washer and Dryer – Shared by upstairs and downstairs unit Outdoor shower – No need to bring the beach in. Wash off outside put beach gear in the wash and head out to the races or your favorite restaurant. Master Bedroom – King Size Bed and its own bathroom. Bedroom - Queen size bed Bedroom – Two Twin Beds. Beach gear includes – Beach chairs, umbrellas, and lots of towels, surfboards, wet suits, boogie boards, and bikes (available depending on the owner’s themselves using them)

We loved this place. It was just as described. It’s extremely close to the beach and some excellent restaurants. The host was easy to contact and answered all our questions. We will definitely be back.

This property was perfect for our needs. Steps from the beach (even though it was too cold to enjoy it), close to restaurants and shopping. Helpful that there were no stairs. The owner was prompt to answer any questions. Very much appreciated how well stocked the kitchen and bathrooms were. Lovely outdoor area(which we couldn’t really enjoy with the weather).
Appreciated that there was parking for 2 cars. We would definitely stay here again!

This little home is super close to the ocean and had everything we needed. It was spotless upon arrival (I’ve never seen such a clean refrigerator!) and everything was comfortable and well appointed. We’ll definitely be back!

Perfect location in Del Mar...walking to everything. House is remodeled, but definately an older home. Bed were comfortable and kitchen well supplied.

You can't beat this location, or the overall amount of space. It's so close to the beach that we left our flip flops at home and took only the towels, boogie boards and chairs (all provided) with us.
If we didn't feel like grilling on the bbq provided in the enclosed patio, we would walk up a block up to Poseidon or Jakes, or take a longer walk to Americana or the Plaza.
The space is clean and comfortable (maybe think about replacing the King bed next year?) with current appliances (large and small) and plenty of fresh towels and bedding.
We are planning our next trip to this great spot in Del Mar beach, and would love to see the garden after it has seen a little love.

The walk to the beach is shorter than the length of our driveway at home! We were expecting it to be further but it really is a tiny walk.
Very welcoming host. So nice to have a stocked kitchen after having stayed in a hotel. Nice to have so much beach gear. The patio area was really pleasant and relaxing. We def enjoyed our stay.

We have to come to Del Mar every summer for 14 years and this was one of my favorite stays! The location is perfection! We only drive to the grocery store. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to make a few breakfasts and dinners and the patio was amazing for our pup, enjoying dinners, breakfasts and games! Steve & Jen are a lovely couple and we’re so incredibly helpful, we didn’t need them much, as their place was very well equipt!

We have to come to Del Mar every summer for 14 years and this was one of my favorite stays! The location is perfection! We only drive to the grocery store. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had everything we needed to make a few breakfasts and dinners and the patio was amazing for our pup, enjoying dinners, breakfasts and games! Steve & Jen are a lovely couple and we’re so incredibly helpful, we didn’t need them much, as their place was very well equipt!

Awesome property for a family (with dog) vacation. Steps to the one of the greatest beaches in the world and has everything you need (wetsuits! Surfboards! Boogie boards!). Owner has really thought of everything and is a very nice guy to boot. Hope to return soon!

This was an awesome property. We rented both the units to accommodate our three families of 10. Location is everything and it is a block from the beach. So easy to come and go as needed. Took our pooch who loved walking on the designated beach areas! Has a great park right up the street and tons of places to eat. (Though we like grilling most nights.) The train goes close by but you soon get used to it and it was fun for our little ones to see! It is a beach town and part of the fun is all the sights and sounds of the area! Looking forward to going back! Thanks, Steven, for making it so easy.

The downstairs unit was light and bright and just as advertised. We loved the location only a block away from the beach. The only issue we had was that we could hear the upstairs tenants kids running around above our heads. Also train is extremely loud. But all in all it was a great crash pad and we enjoyed our stay.

This was truly a gray experience for our first home vacation rental. Stephen was very accommodating and communicated with us multiple times. The home was perfect, clean, had everything we needed for staying in and having dinner as well as going to the beach to relax. We loved that it was so close to the beach. We also loved the we could have our large dog with us as Del Mar us a very dog friendly city. We will definitely stay there again and recommend it to others.

Steven our host was extremely gracious and attentive! We enjoyed the short walks to the beach to watch sunset every night. The place was stocked with everything we needed and then some. Beach was perfect for relaxing or boogie boarding! We had our in laws visiting with us and the felt comfortable walking the neighborhood. We will be back!

The property was very clean, fresh, and homey. We felt very comfortable and welcome here. We loved the quick walk to the beach as well as into Del Mar for drinks and food! The house was quiet and cozy and exactly what we needed at a very hectic time. We so appreciated Steve’s flexibility and how quickly he got back to us. I would highly recommend this jewel in Del Mar!

This is a gem of a place. Steps to the beach, walking location to restaurants and off-leash dog park. Steven was very responsive and helpful on all accounts. Beds were comfortable and everything was very clean. Highly Recommend!

This location is hard to beat. The condo is stocked with pretty much everything you could need for cooking, sleeping, beaching, etc. One block from the beach is hard to beat! Plenty of restaurants in walking distance. The owner did not always return my texts in a timely fashion, but he was very helpful and responsive when he did & brought over several special touches for me & the kids. I would stay here again.

After spending six months sheltering, to find a place to escape to that was safe, beautiful, and so close to the ocean was an answer to our prayers. The owners are available for questions which made getting answers to our questions quite easy. The linens and beds were Four Season comfortable; the kitchen completely equipped, the WiFi perfect. We will definitely be returning guests if we can get a spot in the future.
