This charming cottage, perfect for a peaceful getaway or a family vacation, is located on a quiet cul-de-sac just steps from Moran Lake Beach and Pleasure Point. Beachbreak Bungalow is a wonderful hideaway for your vacation in Santa Cruz. Moran Lake Beach is a short walk down a serene nature trail, along a beautiful grove of Eucalyptus Trees -- the perfect spot for those seeking solace on the beach enjoying the waves and the sea air, family-time building sandcastles, swimming in the surf, or a beautiful sunset stroll. The home has 3 bedrooms and 1 bath, with a queen sized bed in the master, a double bed in the 2nd bedroom, and a double bed in the third bedroom. The bathroom has a shower with a full bathtub. There is also an outdoor shower with hot water - great for rinsing off after a trip to the beach. The large, beautifully landscaped backyard is wonderful for a relaxing BBQ where you can enjoy the company of family and friends or just relax and listen to the sound of the waves. The house is immaculately clean and well furnished with everything you need when you want to get away from it all. Downtown Capitola with it's lively beachside restaurants and shopping is a short 5 minute drive as is the Santa Cruz Harbor with it's many boating activities. The house is charming and cute. The outside is well landscaped. The dogs loved laying on the grass as we played games sitting on the deck. It had everything we needed for a great week away. You could hear the crashing waves of the ocean with the back door open. Loved the short walks to the beach to watch the sunsets. Thank you

We decided to take a last minute girl's trip. We wanted a place anywhere near the ocean. This house is located in a very cute neighborhood with a short walk to the beach. You can hear the ocean at night which is my favorite sound to hear. The backyard was perfect for our two pups to run around and lounge in the sun. So many great restaurants, coffee shops and stores near by.

right between the start line and the finish line...and just steps from the beach!! The owner's are friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay very much!!

The cottage provided everything we needed for a short getaway and Amy was a very responsive host. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen was well-stocked and the yard was perfect for our dogs as well as a great place for us to lounge. It was nice to stroll down to the lagoon in the morning. Good walkable local restaurants, coffee and ice cream too! There’s so much to do in Santa Cruz and the cottage was a terrific home base for all of it. Highly recommend!

Charming well appointed house in great neighborhood with a lovely relaxing backyard. Contact with hosts was minimal, instructive, and very cordial.
The only drawback was that the front bedroom (smaller of 3) would be seriously over-heated when the general heat was turned on; I imagine this would not be an issue in warmer weather.

A lovely small home with a comfortable backyard protected from the wind when it became windy in the afternoon at the beach. Very close to the Lake Moran Park, which is 1/4 mile from the Lake Moran beach. I had never visited this beach before and found it very comfortable for a 6 and a 9 year-old (although, of course, cold water). The outside shower at the house (with warm water) was perfect for rinsing off and the clothes line was great for drying out swim clothes and towels (although the house has a big washer and dryer). Beds were very comfortable. One small bathroom was fine. Our hosts were easy to communicate with and responded to questions quickly. Two beach chairs and several sun parasols (which we didn't use). I'd suggest bringing a wagon for hauling stuff to the beach. Hope to rent again in the future.

We were in town celebrating my wife’s birthday and our friends’ wedding. It was the perfect respite and Amy was a excellent host. My wife, my mother-in-law, and myself all felt super safe and comfy. My MIL even said, “that’s the best I’ve slept in months!”

My wife and I loved our stay. The house is clean and beautiful. The backyard was our favorite: great design, space, and perfect for hanging out. The location is right next to a trail that leads you straight to the beach and surrounding trails. The host was friendly, proactive, and quick to respond to any messages. Our dog loved the house as well, he was a happy camper. We'd happily stay at this location again and highly recommend it to anyone!

This cozy home is in a great neighborhood, convenient to most places in Santa Cruz and Capitola, and walking distance to a beach. The hosts were amazing and easy to contact if needed. This was a great vacation house, and I hope we can come again next year.

This was one of our favorite stays in Santa Cruz. The house is comfortable with a large backyard perfect for cooking (and eating) out. And it's steps away from a beautiful dog-friendly trail to the beach. We will definitely return!

We very much enjoyed our two week stay in your home. We loved sitting on the deck in the backyard enjoying your lovely garden. We particularly liked walking our dog in the forest area only a few steps away and very close to the dog friendly beach. The street we were on was a dead end which was quiet and well located. I imagine it would be good for a couple with 2 children, also. The front bedroom is more like the size of an office or den, with a full-size bed and glass doors separating it from the living area.
Two main bedrooms have very comfy queen beds and share the small bath.
The roomy backyard is beautifully landscaped and maintained & wonderful for our dog. And the home is a couple houses down from an off-leash open space along the lagoon that leads down to the ocean or up to commercial areas with restaurants & quaint coffee houses. Great location!

Everything as advertised, and more!
This charming beach house was perfect for us! We loved everything from the vintage vibe (cottage feel but updated with every modern need) to the beautiful backyard to the south Santa Cruz location (I guess it's called east, but it felt south, next to Capitola)! It's located in a quiet residential neighborhood but close to the fun Santa Cruz sights.
The cottage has 3 bedrooms, but one is converted from an office off the living area and the bed is small - ok for a child. The other two bedrooms each have a queen bed, and all share one bathroom, which is nice but not huge. A little laundry room was appreciated and came in handy!
We took our well-behaved spaniel and he was in heaven. He roamed and explored the pretty back yard, then could accompany us to the end of the street where a scenic eucalyptus-lined trail ran one way along the lagoon to the ocean and the other into town. Every morning we walked there to patronize some cute coffee houses. And if we wanted to go further (wine-tasting, visiting friends, golf, more beaches), the location was convenient to so many central coast destinations.
Amy has a great list of restaurants and activities to enjoy while in the area, and her place was ideal for our 5-night get-away vacation! Thank you!

Perfect home for a family getaway
Absolutely beautiful home, lovely outdoor garden, perfectly located for your family vacation. The hosts have thought of EVERY little detail to make your stay in their home very comfortable including towels, wet suits, nice hangers (and plenty of them in every closet), comfy throw blankets, access to laundry , etc etc. This place is an absolute gem!

Great house! Very clean.
This house worked very well for us - nice quiet location, clean house, outstanding back yard (which is rare in this area). Had some issues with the heat, but Amy and her husband addressed it right away. Loved building a fire in the fireplace! We would stay here again!

Wonderful dog friendly beach cottage
This property has the most amazing location. It is next to a lake and path that takes you to an incredible cozy dog friendly beach.
The back yard was also a highlight. We will be back with our dog soon.

Lovely hosts and cozy home - perfect for families!
Many thanks to our wonderful hosts for a cozy Thanksgiving holiday at their lovely beach home. My family and I roasted marshmallows over a warm fire and had a marvelous time while visiting family and friends in Santa Cruz. Highly recommended! You’ll love the huge backyard, charming abode and thoughtful amenities. We’ll be back!

Lovely Time
Our whole family had a lovely time at this relaxing beach house, including the dogs. :-) The location was perfect and we really appreciated the new furniture in the living room. The changes made the living room feel much more open and easier to navigate with a small child and two big dogs. Amy was a wonderful host and we really appreciated all of the information in the welcome documents. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with our family.

Great beach cottage
Cozy, clean, great location. Dog friendly and so close to a dog friendly beach, you can't beat it.
Backyard is very large and has several sitting areas, this was nice for my teenagers to hang out when not at the beach but didn't want to be with the adults.

Super cute house for family vacation
The house is nicely decorated with comfortable beds and linens, plenty of good quality towels. Kitchen is pretty well equipped. Backyard and grill excellent. Only one small bathroom, but for vacation it didn't matter. The area is great for walking, very accessible to everything. Amy is an awesome host. She has left a notebook with heaps of info and guidance for a great stay. Will definitely return.

Perfect family base
The location can't be beat. Quick easy walk to the beach, plenty of room for family to spread out on the deck out the French doors and homey perks like laundry, fire pit, functional kitchen and outdoor shower. Rooms were good size and everyone enjoyed having their private space. The backyard was perfect for the dogs and just the right size. Hosts were wonderful and communicated promptly. We all remarked on the quiet neighborhood without traffic. Would love to return.

Great Santa Cruz Cottage
Clean, well loved, and charming house made our vacation a pleasure. Located just a short stroll from a wide open beach. The walk to the beach is an experience as it winds through a grove of towering Eucalyptus trees next to an ocean lagoon.
The back yard was perfect for our gathering with a deck and mature landscaping. The owners are easy to work with, and pet friendly. Our pups loved roaming the backyard, and walking every day to the beach with us. What a great way to spend the 4th of July!

Peaceful Retreat by the Beach
The bungalow is wonderfully located on a quiet street just a few steps from Moran Lake lagoon and a eucalyptus-lined walking path which borders the lagoon and leads down to the beach. It was great to have the option to just walk to the beach and leave the car in the driveway when we felt like it. The house was comfortable, with a laid back atmosphere; the kitchen was very well furnished, and the spacious back yard was perfect for our son's Golden Retriever mix. We also enjoyed barbecuing on the deck and adding fresh tomatoes from the garden to our salad.
The location is peaceful and relaxing but also close to many great restaurants (including Cafe Cruz for breakfast!), the Santa Cruz Yacht Harbor (we enjoyed a sunset cruise around the bay with O'Neil's) and Capitola. It was perfect for our group of four adults. Highly Recommended!

Sooooo relaxing!
Sweet house near the beach in a quiet neighborhood with a great enclosed yard (our dog loved it). Very relaxing and peaceful. More like staying in a home than in a rental. Highly recommend it!
